“Can you imagine what will happen if you gave a worthy man the love and loyalty that your giving this man that don’t know what to do with it?” is a question that Azayah can’t answer. For as long as she can remember her loyalty has been with Kayell. Even through the lying and cheating she never left his side but every woman has her breaking point and when Azayah reached hers, Titus is right there to help her pick up the pieces. Titus has been in love with Azayah since the first day she stepped into his company looking for a job. He knew from the moment he laid eyes on her that she was the one, only thing standing in the way was his longtime girlfriend Ree. The love had left the relationship sometime ago but Titus was loyal so he stayed. It wasn’t until Ree commited the ultimate betrayal that he stop fighting the feelings that he had for Azayah but Ree won’t give up that easy. Kayell is a ladies man, the owner of the hottest club in North Carolina so woman flock to him and he welcomes them with open arms. When he ran into his newest flavor of the week, Piyani, he didn’t know that she would be the one with the ulterior motive. When Kayell’s world starts to crumble around him he realizes that he had the perfect life with Azayah and he will do anything to get her back but will it be too late. Love and jealousy plague the hearts of these couples, watch as they all search for the cure to the pain that was caused.
This was a very interesting story about a woman who left a cheater for a better man. That man had a lot of secrets about his life. I liked how the story was told in all of the character's points of views.
Now the reason I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 was because there were too many run-on sentences, but other than that, the story flowed very well.
I really loved Titus and Azayah. Azayah went through so much with her ex she definitely needed love and loyalty and Titus gave her that. Kayell I truly hated how he was in this book, he didn't think about anyone but his self. All I can say is what's done in the dark always comes to light.
I loved it. After 50% i couldn't put it down. Lol I usually like series books but this stand alone was a good change for me. I will be reading more from Nikki!!!
This is not my usual read; I am more of an interracial, alpha, BWWM romance or whatever and after I read the tittle and confirmed it was a standalone, I decided to get this book, and I was not disappointed. I did almost stopped as soon as Azayha went to have her supposed "closure" with Kayell, but I realized that this was one of those book where it does captivate you and you needed to finish it to be at eased with the end result and boy was I happy to continue reading. Everyone in this story was so perfect, specially Azayha, Titus and Shon. Now, I do love me some Maayon but Reeves was just to good for her. She needed to lower herself a little. Kayell was alright but I really felt sorry for him because the grass is never greener on the other side. Now Les, Yelena an Pyani(what kind of name was that?) they deserved everything that happened to them and then some more while Taylor didn't need any of that.. Then again, this is what made this story so nice and fantastic. I will recommend this tenfold specially since there were no run on sentences and the grammatical errors were non existent.
A perfect book on love should always be given and received . People searching for love when they already got it.the grass ain't always greener. These are the lesson that each person learned in this book. But titus and azayah were in love with each other and put their feelings aside for what they were familiar with. Both their cheating partners cheated opened the door for them to explore. Mayyon and reeves relationship I love because I know a couple people going threw it . The author did a great job keeping the story moving and great storyline.great ending no question every tt crossed. Great book
Talk about this one check of a story is an understatement, the writer brings it full force and never steps off the gas.I love that the writer gives the inside look at these characters and exactly what they are looking for and what they need to make it.There are some heavy subjects being handled and they are being dealt with class and like an adult that you don't cringe as much.I love that writer keeps that its about family and the people you love. This is good writing and storytelling and you are going to want too invest your time.
I am loving these standalone books I really likes this, the storyline was very believable. Kayell & Sheree, while they really went about therir breakups the Wrong way Karma is really.real, Kayell at the end of the day, really saved Titus from any nonsense that Sheree would have created. AZ & Titus... Glad AZ got her mind together, and figured out her worth. Reeves was hilarious, and happy he and Moyanee got together...
This was a awesome read from beginning to end. Titus is that BAE. I liked how he stayed back until the time was right. When the time was right he stepped right in and showed Azayah what real love is and how it should be displayed. Mayoon is a trip and a good friend to Azayah. I liked her and Reeves together. He was young but knew what he wanted. Im glad everybody who deserved to be gotten got what they deserved.
I definitely like this not to much drama but enough . Kayell was trifling from the jump and he got his punishment same for Ree she should’ve moved on with her she-man . The 3 stooges les, Piyani , yelina started some shit and they all met the same Ending smh RIP Taylor but he should’ve ended les when he had the chance . I love Titus ! Said what happen to azayah and Titus but they was bless again and we can’t forget about maayon and reeves funny
It’s been so long since I’ve read an urban romance that didn’t end on a cliffhanger. It was very refreshing to read a book and have it come to a satisfying conclusion. The characters of the book were riveting and interesting. My favorite character was Reeves, even with his young age he captured my heart. Asayah was a little too weak for me but overall I truly enjoyed reading this book.
Nikki baby you did that i was so into this book that i didn't even realize i more than an hour on the treadmill till my uncle came and told me Titus is definitely my new book bae this book was fast paced and i loved it if your looking for a good standalone novel this is it you want be disappointed
Omg loved it from beginning to end. I was so glad when Titus stepped in the picture and showed azaylah what real love him. Karma def got kayell but he deserved it. Reeve came in and broke down all the walls that maayon had built up. Loved the story and was happy with the ending. Great standalone from nikki!
Now that's how you write a standalone!! I knew this was going to a great read when I was ready to kick Azayah teeth down her throat and I was only at 3%. Kayell, Piyana and Yalena were bitches and got what they deserved. Maayon need to get with program and give Reeves his props. Titus is the Mannnn!! Loved the ladies relationship. 5 ***** Read, definite recommendation.
Nikki this was a great book I enjoyed it from beginning to end I'm so glad that Titus and Azayah found their happy ever after and Maayon found loved with Reeves and karma did her job right on time I would gladly recommend this book to others looking forward to reading more of your work keep up the great work.
This was so sweet Titus came through!! Reeves was absolutely everything 😍😍❤️❤️ I'm so glad that Kayell finally got what he deserved after all of the hurt he caused he still blamed her😡😡 Ree that's what you get chasing anything when you had everything now you have nothing. I would love a spinoff Reeves & Maayon 😜😜
I couldn't give this book more than a 3 bc every other page people were screwing. It was dog on near erotica. Getting over that and the few typos the author had, the plot was pretty good. You never knew what was going to happen or how it would play out. In this book, the good guy definitely wins.
I loved that this was a standalone book. This was a good story. Titus was so focused and knew just what he wanted. Reeves was a young boss and he got Maayon straight and showed her that she was only a number. His momma need to get done business though. Can't wait til the next book drops.
I loved this standalone. Titus was the perfect man for Azayah. I can't believe how much of a punk that Kayell was. He deserved everything that happened to him. I'm glad Maayon finally opened her heart and mind to the perfect man for her. This was a great read from beginning to end.
OMG! What a great read! 🤦🏾♀️ I’m still stressed out behind Ree, Kayell, Piyani, Les and Yelena! But over all, baby this was a great book. From the beginning I was like omg, dump him now! But as the story began to unfold, I was amazed every time. Maayon gave me life! 🙌🏾 it’s sad to see them go, but Author Nikki Brown, you did your job! ❤️
First let me say that darn Kayell, Piyanni, Ree and Les got what the deserved. Kayell claimed he loved Azayah but did her dirty the whole time. I'm happy Titus got his happy ending he deserve it. I like me she me Maayon she was funny and a great friend, her and Reeves make a good couple. Great story, I loved it!
Author, Nikki Brown did a Banging job on this book........a very GOOD read!👌 From the beginning to the very end, 'You're the Cure To The Pain He Caused' was a GREAT book with a seamless flow, AWESOME character development And (overall) AMAZING storytelling.......I thoroughly Enjoyed this book!👏👏👏👏👏 WONDERFUL work, Nikki B.!👊
Miss Nikkie Miss Nikkie you did the thing with this story. Omg! I'm so happy that Azayah find her a man who show her she worthy and beautiful. KAYEEL WAS A DOG! And got what he deserve the grass ain't always green on the other side. Reeves you zaddy show Maayon that age ain't nothing but number.
I’m tired. This one took my through it! Azayah kissed a frog that remained a frog. When she finally found her prince, the frog would not go away. In addition to not going away, he brings a whole host of other problems her way. The flow of the book was steady. There is a lot going on, but it’s presented in away that doesn’t confuse you.
Kayell and Ree realized the grass wasn't always green on the other side. Les, Piyani and Yelena should of been left the game alone. They really did pay for it. Maa realized she had a good man in Reeves.
Nikki you did a great job with this standalone. I loved Titus' love for A. That damn Ree was too confused. Rayell was bitch made from day one. I'm glad Reeves got his woman. GREAT job as usual. You are truly one of my favs
When a woman's fed up......nothing you can do about it. Kayell had to learn that the hard way. He cheated over and over again until he did in front of her and she was done. In walks Titus and it's on ....
Loved it. Glad it was a standalone. Just the right amount of everything. Really loved how everybody got what they had coming. Sorry about Taylor. This is a very good read. Wasn't a lot of baby mama drama and that's a plus.
Maayon was my favorite character and I'm glad she let Reeves in and gave him a chance. Titus wasn't playing no games with Azayah. I liked that he was patient and didn't rush her. Les and Kayell both got what they deserved. I'm never disappointed with your books. Great job as always.
Nikki never disappoints and I loved this book! The characters was hilarious and I loved the storyline! I bet you Ree will be confused as karma got her! Nikki is one of my favorite authors!
