Charlies and his best friend Rex have a business on the side that neither Charlie's sister nor their mom know about. As they are back for Sherrie's arrival she is late and when she attempts to crawl into her bed Rex is there in all his glory. She is not amused but not long things change. What kind of business does Rex and Charlie have and what are they hiding? She will find out.
The characters were pretty good and had some funny parts and some sexy parts as well. Rex knows falling for Sherry will rock his best friends world but he has to take a chance.

This book was frustrating for me from the start. The book ended well, but I really wanted to reach into the book and yell at each character, but at the same time hug them.
The sex was hot.
The characters POPPED in all the right places.
Frustrations will be high.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
I am all for people trying and taking risks, but; no just no. Lauren you have an imagination, but no story telling ability. You're grammer and spelling are horrible (spell check maybe?) And you can not keep a thought fliwing. Your sentence structure is elementary at best, and the ideas do not flow to be comprehensive. I was less than 5% in the book and it hurt to read it so I just stopped. That was due to the poor quality of writing and lack of proofreading and esiting. If it was just the lack of character the characters had and the lack of any self worth or esteem, or cleanliness I might would of finished but probably not. No shower after bare sex with a stranger in another girls bed and snuggling her; gag and puke.

I read this book as part of an arc program. I enjoyed the story of Rex and Sherry. Rex and Charlie own a strip club in Chicago and none of Charlie's family know what he does for a living. When Sherry comes home from college and travels to Chicago for a job interview, she stays with Charlie and Rex, making it hard for them to keep their secret. Sherry knows something is wrong and wants to find out what the men are up to, she demands her driver to take her to their club. When she gets there, she asks to see the owner and is sent to the office where she walks in on Rex and one of the strippers. Sherry now has an image to go with her fantasy of Rex, and sets to make it reality. Rex is so attracted to Sherry but knows if he tries to be with her, Charlie will kill him but he can only resist for so long. When Sherry and Rex start seeing each other, they keep it a secret until others figure it out and cause trouble. I enjoyed this book and I really liked Rex, I thought he really was a good guy who wanted to be loved, but never knew how to have a real relationship. Good one.

He is taken back by how grown up she is and how much he wants her.
She wants him to but she knows Rex is keeping secrets plus he is her brothers friend.
This story was good I did enjoy it there is some parts in the story where Rex is with someone else, but it's only twice. Once he gets Sherry in his sight he wants no one else. I give this story fours stars the sex scenes alone deserve five stars. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a sexy fall in love with your siblings best friend romance.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A great read! Fantastic characters. Charlie and his best friend, Rex, are running a strip club. But he doesn't want his family to know. They are meeting up for dinner because his "little" sister, Sherry, is coming home from graduating college. Sherry has always had a crush on Rex, but he always saw her as a little girl, until now. She wasn't due home 'til the next and they wind up naked in her bed (by accident.) Rex does some really stupid things like banging the dancers. One, in particular, Ruby. Sherry isn't satisfied until she finds out about the guys business. She gets her mom to make them take her to Chicago with them so she can look for a job! Finding matches to a club, she has Rex's driver to take her there and she catches him banging Ruby! That night it's her turn! Things get seriously estranged when Charlie finds out!

I enjoyed the latest from Lauren Wood. When Charlie returns home she comes face to face with her longtime crush, her brother's best friend Rex. Rex and her brother are back in their hometown to celebrate Charlie coming home and when he sees her for the first time in a while to say she changed is an understatement. When Charlie decides to come back to the city with her brother and Rex she will get closer to what the two men are up to then anyone else in their hometown when she gets it in her head to check out where some of the stuff in the guys' apartment leads her. What follows for these two is hot, secret and what neither truly knew was missing. I really liked the dynamic between Charlie and Rex. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Hard read
I tried really hard to get into this book. The grammatical errors were intense. I got to like chapter 10 before I threw in the towel. I had such a hard time trying to picture the characters and the scene. The plot was all over the place.
Being a biology major doesn’t necessarily make you a scientist, and I’ve never heard of someone being degraded for majoring in biology. The author makes her seem like a reject for being interested in academics but in the next chapter it mentions her athletic trophies.
In one chapter Rex says he hasn’t seen her in years because he’s always gone when she comes home during the summer, but in the next chapter he says it’s only been a year since he’s seen her.
Overall, this book could use a good edit.

This book made me blush right just as I started reading its first pages. Firstly let me say that the encounters between Rex and Sherry are absolutely hot. Needless to say that Sherry is not a shy damsel on the contrary she is very bold and since she has had a crush on Rex since she was a teenager, she will surprisingly be the one to make the first move and fall happily into his arms. Rex is a manwhore , he owns with Sherry’s brother, a strip club so he is quite used to having enticing girls around him. What more to say. Forget the previous romantic books from Lauren, she has turned her attention right towards steamy and sexy stories. A very fast paced story with a lovely happy ending.

Sherry is Charlie's little sister and Charlie is Rex's best friend. They all grew up together. The two guys go away to college and start their careers while Sherry grew up into a beautiful woman. After she graduates college she heads home to see everyone before she embarks on her career. Her brother and Rex decide to surprise her and boy did Rex get a surprise of his own. This is a well written entertaining read. A slightly taboo/forbidden relationship because Charlie considered his little sister Sherry off limits to his friends. Will Charlie accept the growing relationship between his best friend and his little sister? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I thought this sounded really interesting. I usually love best friend’s sibling stories. I found that I couldn’t connect with the characters in this one though. Sherry was just okay. She didn’t make a significant impact on me either good or bad. For the most part I liked Rex but his cocky “all women want me” attitude turned me off pretty quick. And the brother, Charlie? I could have done this whole book without him. I thought he was an obnoxious little jerk. The ending wrapped up too fast for me, the resolution felt too easy.

I liked the storyline and plot. It is a well written book with likeable characters. Sometimes Rex annoyed me with his goods gift to women attitude. But the characters are well described and develops nicely through the story. I like that it is written in dual POV which gives the reader the thoughts and feelings of both main characters and thereby a much better insight in the story. It has chemistry and hot scenes. The story made my laugh and sigh. A very enjoyable read with nice twists and turns.

Laughed a lot with them, great characters and a great story. Really liked it.

The writing gives terrible a whole new meaning. Is the author a mobster from 1980? The amount of times a woman was referred to as a "broad" 🤦♀️🙄 The story was poorly put together, the writing was highschool level at best and I finally DNFed after the H started having sex with another woman and calling her the h's name. Instead of fun and sexy, this book was old and skeevy.

Everybody has secrets in this story. The only question is what will happen if these secrets come out? I enjoyed this book but not sure if it will go on the TBRR shelf.

Short. Exciting
This was a great story. Everything happened kinda fast. On minute they were sleeping together for weeks then they weren't taking for weeks. Then finally one get together and she is pregnant. Plus he proposed. It just happened so fast. But it was a good book.

Good story but...

It's awfully hard to hide a relationship from your business partner and best friend, but Rex does his best. Lots of steam between Rex and Sherry. Overprotective brothers be damned!
