Based on a screenplay by Howard Ashman
This book is more like a placeholder. It is a novelization book that is not really a novelization or a film script. Mostly it ties monochrome pictures that are sills from the Rick Moranis (1986) movie that was based on the play "The Little Shop of Horrors!"
It is specifically designed more as a keepsake than a stand-alone book.
For those interested, it also contains a special appearance by Steve Martin as the sadist dentist.
In the original Jonathan Haze (1960) version, Jack Nicholson played the dentist’s victim.
The basic story is during an eclipse of the sun, an alien arrives in the shape of flora. Seymour adopts the plant and names it Audrey II. Seymour gains fame and fortune but at a price.
