Joel Driscoll, a buddy of Brad Frame since middle school, draws him into the hunt for a missing person. Against the backdrop of a nation reeling from the 9/11 attacks, Brad’s quest finds marital infidelity, a tangled web of betrayal from a business rival, and a murder in which the prime suspect has been framed. This case puts Brad and his young career to the test, pushing the limits as he butts heads with the police.

Getting ready to leave they came upon a man having been murdered. This was an intriguing scenario being we knew the people from other books, and Brad’s love of trains. It showed the skill he has in figuring out people. Now for readers to put the pieces of what really was going on.
Brads good friend is murdered. There are alot of characters with their own agenda, so there are alot of potential suspects. It's interesting to watch how all the clues and information come together so Brad can find the killer. It's so well written that it keeps your interest all the way through. There are twists along the way. I have really enjoyed the Brad Frame series, can't wait for #8 to come out. I was alittle confused as this was listed as #7 however no mention of his sidekick Sharon and in previous books, his home office and gym were already completed. Guess this should have been an earlier book in the series. Really enjoy all this authors books. He really knows how to write a good story!
Flynt tells an interesting tale with an economy of words, delivering a full story in under 300 pages.
This story takes place early in Brad Frame’s PI career, and other that a brief mention early in the story, his partner, Sharon, is absent, so the whole load of solving his friend’s murder falls on Brad.
There are twists galore and misdirection. But the climax came a bit ‘out of the blue’ with the killer giving himself away after spending the whole book leading Brad down Primrose Lane.
Still, I’ll be back for more of Brad’s adventures.
brad frame - investigating is the game. while connecting with an old boarding school friend, brad is sent on several wild chases trying to locate his primary - carlin trambata. herron industries hired brad since mr t. dissappeared. one murder later and things are too close to home - even though fired - brad can't let go. i think mr frame smells a frame.
I have not read other books in this series, but thoroughly enjoyed this story, number seven in the series. Very realistic characters and an imaginative plot kept me engrossed and in suspense to the very end. It is well worth the money.
Murder mystery that involves infidelity, a railroad museum, and friendship. I enjoyed following Brad Frame work to solve the murder of Joel, his friend. The ending surprised me and that is a good thing. I certainly would read another Ray Flynt book.
I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did, and I learned a lot also. What a surprising story! The title of the book gives nothing away, not even a hint. A mystery within a mystery.
Brad Frame is Flynt's PI and he's done a fine job of delineating this multifaceted character. What I loved was to follow along on the chase-a runaway train of ups, downs and a few unexpected twists and turns. The finale was real, and all the ends tied together but not in a pretty bow, more like a rough hewn sailor's knot. Picking this up is easy-putting it down, not so much.
I enjoyed reading this book and was quite surprised at the ending. He sure to read and enjoy as I have. I still have many Frame books to enjoy and am looking forward to reading all of them.
