Paul 'Preacher' Haskins was anything but the mild mannered choir boy his name implied. He was always the protector, the nurturer, and the big brother looking out for his sibling; his brother from another mother, who fell into his hands. He’s a bad boy with no regrets. Paul didn’t need redemption; he needed ammunition, some cash and as little hassle as possible. He never thought to mend his ways, until a chance meeting had him questioning his lifestyle choices and affiliations. But when an unscrupulous upstart crawls out of the woodwork, he’s forced to choose between the two people he loves the most, simply because he can’t protect them both. He knows where she is; the world isn’t big enough to hide the one he loved and left behind. He’ll find her, and he hopes that she doesn’t break his face when he does.

Penelope 'Penny" Calvanera never realized that there was more in life that her goals, until she fell over a wolf-in-sheeps-clothing. Hooked on the heady mixture of Paul Haskins, she’s oblivious to his darker side. When she’s abandoned at the worst possible time, she moves on with her life, until what she’d learnt to live without comes crashing back, turning her world upside down, again! But he does not come alone. He’s brought his business with him and all hell is guaranteed to break loose. He hasn’t committed a crime - yet. But his past won’t be satisfied until it has him where it wants him. They Paul and Penny need to get their act together because trouble awaits that will affect them and the one’s they love.

Proceed with Caution

This book was not what I expected it was really boring with no action. The author never went into any details about the characters beside the color of their skin and eye color on I forgot their hair color we didn't know anything about them. We didn't know anything about how Paul and Dexter met Todd and McNally or their childhood considering that Paul picked Dexter up from the streets nothing about growing up in a house with strangers where was their father and what happen to their mother. How Mel who was she and were did she come from? How did Penny feel when Paul never showed up at her house? Where did Danny Boy come from there s so many unanswered questions plus the whole kidnapping thing was really unrealistic. Who kidnaps someone child and all he gets us a few punches and a bullet in his kneecap then a car ride to God knows where. I like this author story in 7 degrees of Alpha I can't wait for that book to come out

Thumbs Down!

First reading by this Author, I will give this book a 2 .5 stars. This book was boring it took me awhile to read it because of it. I can't even describe the characters maybe only their eyes very few details. The sex was boring and couldn't keep my interest. For this reason I can't recommend this book. This is only my opinion someone else may see something different.

Where have you been hiding

I am going to read more of your books. I fell in love with your writing in the 7degrees of an alpha book. Only to be left hanging in the middle of that story above Val and Peter the cop. I am so hoping you would finish it. This book is very much to my liking. Just the right amount of sex. But more importantly the plot, the thrill, the story had you there , had you mad talking to yourself about what happened, turning pages to see what happened next. So I got two more of you're book's . It's been too long for a new book hopefully I can read more from you. Good work.

Review

This is a different read from what I'm use to. The setting and the concept gave the story a good edge. I enjoyed reading about Dexter and Paul, and how they became brothers. The love they had for each other couldn't make them any closer.
Danny should've listened when McNally gave him the warning. Instead he tried t o do underhanded acts that cost him dearly.
Melanie realized the grass was not greener on the other side. Danny Boy sold her an illusion.

Very good story

I didn't agree with Preacher's decision to leave Penny behind even though I understood his reason for doing so. I must be honest, I didn't like or understand Mel's actions either.

I'm confused

There was too many things going in this book that had me wanting to ask alot of questions. I'm not sure if I liked it or not and none of the characters were that enjoyable. Yeah this book had me lost.
