She’s an eye-rolling, f-bomb-dropping, crazy-sexy wildcat and I want her all for myself. I almost had her once, too. Unfortunately, before I could convince her I was the only man she needed for the rest of forever, she pushed me away. That’s okay, though. I don’t mind a challenge or a chase. Especially when I know that pushing me away is just as much a turn on for her as when she pulls me closer. I’ll play her game for a while, but eventually she’s gotta understand that I’m going to win.
Harmless. That’s how I’ve always viewed my casual stance on dating and sex. It’s all fun and games until someone catches feelings. I’ve never been the one infected before. So what’s a girl supposed to do when she wakes up next to the one man she wasn’t allowing herself to sleep with? Run like hell. That’s what. Here’s a tip, though: running from the only person you want to run to, never ends the way you think it will.
Anie Michaels is the author of the Never series, the Private serial, the Love and Loss series, the With a Kiss series, and stand-alone novels The Space Between Us and Instead of You. She started writing her first novel in June 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. Working at home as a full-time writer of books, when she is not pounding on the keyboard she can be found reading, playing with her kids, spending time with her family, and connecting with her close friends. She’s spent her entire life in the Pacific Northwest, lives in Portland, Oregon, and can’t imagine ever being anywhere else… except maybe somewhere tropical.
This was such an awesome read. If Justin was the one chasing me I don't think I'd have run as far as Hadley did. Probably wouldn't have taken me 9 months to break my own rule either. I'd be waving that little white flag pretty soon. I liked how the author portrayed these characters. Both of them are strong willed and stubborn. She's obviously sassy as hell and we love it that about her. He's determined he's not taking no for an answer. This story held my attention from the first word.
The story Had Enough by Anie Michaels is a contemporary romance book. It is a wonderful story that I loved reading. It will draw you in from the first chapter and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. I loved reading about the main characters and how they interact. She is a woman who only does one-night stands, a quick hook-up. She doesn’t let anyone in or allow herself to have feelings for anyone. That is until him. He knew from the first time they met that she was different. He is determined that what they have will not be for just one night. This is a couple that knows they are attracted to each other. He does everything he can to pursue her. She tries to push him away. The chemistry between them is red-hot and steamy and there is a connection between them. What does the future hold for them? Can he make her see just how deep his emotions for her are? Will she stop running away from him and admit to the deep feelings she has for him? Will this couple get their happy-ever-after? This is a beautiful love story. I loved reading about this couple and the way they felt about each other. This is a story that will have you believing in true love. It is a story that got emotional for me and there were times where you just have to say “Aww” to what was going on. There are a couple of other characters that you were introduced to which are the friends of this couple and I loved reading about them as well. With the roles that they played, I couldn’t see the book without them. This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. She is a wonderful storyteller and has created amazing characters. I can’t wait to read both the other books that she has already written and also any new ones.
Had Enough is a standalone novel by one of my favorite authors, Anie Michaels. If you read Kiss Cam then you have already had the pleasure of meeting both Justin and Hadley as Cameron and Riley’s best friends. They were there to witness their best friends falling in love and now it might just be their turn.
It’s been nine months since Justin and Hadley met and since that day it’s been a game of cat and mouse. Justin knew she was different from the moment he saw her and when she opened her mouth...he knew he was fucked. He had been a playboy until that moment and from that moment he only saw her. She only saw him too but she wouldn’t go there. And the more they saw each other it only proved what she already knew. He was the only man who could break her heart and she wouldn’t let him. Then Vegas happened. She did exactly what she was avoiding. And she did exactly what she had to do. She ran.
Justin knew her too well. That was why he let this game go on for so long but he was done playing around. He wanted her to stop running. He knew he would keep chasing if he had to but it was different now. He had her once and he wouldn’t let her go again. He knew she needed space especially after the night they shared in Vegas but then it was on. He wants to prove to her that they belong together. To not let her fears take over. Can he show her that this isn’t just a game to him?
Justin and Hadley’s relationship is complicated, fun, sexy, and beautiful. They have to navigate through without having any real experience. They were both no-strings attached type of people before they became friends. They don’t want to fuck this up. Whatever they think they could be. Will Hadley run again when it all becomes too much?
Overall...I loved Justin and Hadley! Justin knows what he wants and goes for it. Hadley is an independent and strong woman. Together they are determined, sexy, and fun. I only gave it 4.5 hearts and not 5 because I just felt something missing. Not sure what. I felt their connection. The story was awesome. Maybe it was me that didn’t connect to them as much as I did with Anie’s previous couples. IDK. I do love them though.
Quotes:
I’d had some shimmering hope that she’d moved past the “Let’s Pretend Justin Doesn’t Exist” phase of our relationship.
“Coming?” she asked coyly. Fuck. “Hopefully,” I said before I could think better of the statement.
“Hadley doesn’t realize it, but she likes it best when I push her buttons.”
Okay, I’m almost positive that every girl is looking for a Justin. Geez, I’m looking for a Justin! I was waiting for Hadley’s story since we met Riley in Kiss Cam and now we finally have it. And it’s a hell of a story! Justin is the most patient, loving, honest, will do anything for the ones he loves type of man. Ohhh I almost forgot protective, romantic and passionate! I don’t want to give anything away and ruin the book but he knew from the first moment he laid eyes on Had that she was it. She had her doubts and kept pushing him away, but he knew to give her room. To let her work it out. He knew she would realize it sooner than later. I think any girl wouldn’t want their heart broken and I understand where she is coming from. Never knowing how love feels and then feeling this new thing, it scares you. Terrifies you even! She was happy the way her life was and didn’t want to ruin that happiness with what if and let’s try. BUT if you don’t give love a chance or try it, you’ll never know what you’ve been missing. What love really feels like. What having someone love you so much, that they would give up everything for you. I’m so happy this story played out the way it did. I think if what happened in Vegas (tee hee...you must read it) didn’t happen, they would still be where they were, flirty but not crossing a boundary because Hadley might run (or ignore you, like you don’t exist lol). Anie, I love your words and you know how much I LOVE Porter, well I think I might have a new love! **swoon** Justin is just....wow! Thank you for making me laugh, fall in love, get mad and cry all in one book. Had Enough gets 5 stars and can definitely be read as a stand-alone. And I highly recommend it.
•~• I receive this ARC from Anie Michaels, for my honest review and opinion •~•
Had Enough by Anie Michaels is a standalone romance book about Hadley and Justin. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I am looking forward to reading more by her. Justin was a lot like Hadley before he met her, a no strings attached, catch no feels, one and done kind of guy. Then he did meet Hadley and his days of chasing everything in a skirt ground to a halt. There’s only one woman that he wants to chase, and chase he does. Hadley has no intention of ever falling in love. As far as she’s concerned one night with a man is enough for her. At least it was until she did the one thing she told herself she’d never do, have sex with Justin. After one amazing night with him she knows for sure what she’s been suspecting for a while, Justin is the one man that could break her heart and she’s not about to let that happen. Doing what she does best she runs. She runs from him, his feelings for her, and most of all she runs from her feelings for him. Only this time is different. Justin is done playing this cat and mouse game. It’s time that he finally makes her realize that they belong together. I absolutely loved this book. I was drawn into this back and forth game that Justin and Hadley had going on from the very first chapter. Watching these two grow was an amazing ride. I laughed, teared up, screamed into my pillow, and almost tore my hair out on more than one occasion. This book wasn’t just well thought out it was well written and captivating from the very first word. I’m giving this book a five star rating for having a story that comes alive before your eyes.
Had Enough by Anie Michaels is a contemporary romance novel that can be read as a stand alone. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Her writing style is such that she can pull you in right from the beginning. Her story is engaging and fast paced, you won't be able to put it down until the last page. Her characters are creative, connectable and lovable. They will take you on a journey of taking chances on romance. This is the story of Justin and Hadley. These two meet nine months ago because of their best friends. He was lost to her from the very beginning. Now, one night has changed everything for them. When Hadley wakes up next to him, she runs. Now that he has had her once, he is determined to have her again. He is willing to prove that they are meant to be together but how far will he have to go? Their attraction is off the charts and so is their chemistry but she knows that he has the ability to break her heart if she takes a chance with him. They are both no strings attached type of people but will he be able to prove to her that he can be what she needs? These two are really great together. They are funny, hot, steamy and their banter back and forth make their story flow. He knows what he wants and just plain goes for it. She is strong and independent. They just fit together, I found myself hoping that they find their happily ever after. I enjoyed the secondary characters just as much. They are supportive and help make the story flow into what it is. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to see if these two find their happily ever after.
Had Enough by Anie Michaels could for sure be read as a stand alone. However, I fell in love with these characters where it all began in Kiss Cam. If you have read Kiss Cam and Riled Up you will for sure need to read Had Enough. These characters and story lines are way too good to pass up. Reading these books as a stand alone or all at once will keep you wanting more, no doubt about that. I'm going to admit it. I finished Had Enough late last night and I am currently having what most call a "book hangover."
'A book hangover: the struggle a person goes through trying to reconnect with reality after finishing an amazing book.'
This journey in Had Enough has left me wanting MORE. Don't get me wrong, the story is absolutely fantastic and it is fully complete. But I want MORE as in I did not for the life of me want this book to end. I was so captivated by the book. The emotions, the feels, the surprises, the characters, the story line...I felt like I was in this book right along with characters. I laughed a lot, blushed a few times, and got a little teary eyed. Had Enough has so many emotions and feels. That right there tells you this book is FANTASTIC.
I highly, I mean highly recommend Had Enough to every single person reading this. I can promise you, that you will not be disappointed. Anie Michaels has done it yet again in Had Enough. I can not wait to see what Anie Michaels has in store for us next.
I always liked when the best friends find best friends and get together. I believe it makes their family stronger than ever. That is what happened in this book. Camden, Justin's best friend, has found Riley, Hadley's best friend, and is totally in love. The first time Justin meets Hadley, he knows that this is going to be the one to keep. Hadley likes what she sees too, but is totally afraid of commitment. With all this being said things happen and at the end of the day Hadley avoids Justin as much as she can. What happens next is that Camden and Riley decide to get married in Vegas and invites everyone along. Needless to say, Hadley and Justin hook up and a series of events then occur. Hadely runs. Justin chases. When they finally get to talk well more things happened in that one night than both of them knew.
This is a fun story. I absolutely loved Hadley. She was sassy from start to finish. She never changed and I really like that in a character. I don't like it when people change for other characters in the book and that is what made her stand out. Her personality was full, it brightened the book up at times and gave you that sass that the book needed. She has commitment issues and she has never really been in a relationship, so all of that combined scares her. Justin has always been up front with how he felt for Hadley, but her avoiding him didn't help matters. He wants her to be his, but he is going to have to fight tooth and nail for that to happen. Justin is that guy. That guy that you love because he does these little things, makes you feel special, wanted, needed and that tears at your heart piece by piece.
There is a lot of things that happen in this book and sometimes I feel it was a little too much, but the book flowed really well. There is going to be some tense moments in the book and fears are going to come into play. A big secret that Justin has, but he doesn't think it is a secret will be what you will want to look out for. Hadley will be someone that you will love reading about and see how she manuevers through life when Justin becomes involved in it.
Anie Michaels serves up another fierce, funny, and delightfully sweet romance with Hadley and Justin’s story in Had Enough. This standalone will make you laugh and leave your heart overflowing with all things warm and fuzzy. Having first met Hadley and Justin in the With a Kiss series, I was more than a little intrigued by their obviously electric chemistry. Anie Michaels definitely didn’t disappoint, surpassing any and all expectations with this couple and delivering plenty of sincere emotion, witty dialogue, and even a few surprises that kept me flipping the pages. I adored every moment of this perfectly sweet journey. Anie Michaels left me no choice but to absolutely devour Had Enough!
Hadley was every bit the firecracker I’d hoped she’d be and then some. She was sassy, independent, and driven – the kind of heroine you can’t help but invest in. I adored how the author carefully unraveled this character over the course of the story, exposing her insecurities and fears in a way that made her easy to relate to and that much more lovable. Justin made Hadley come undone in that way only your perfect match can and I loved every second of the unrestrained emotion he pulled from her. Justin was equally captivating, proving to be so much more than I first thought. The cocky playboy I met in Kiss Cam turned out to have a heart of gold. Justin was serious, protective, and deeply invested in his feelings for Hadley. Willing to be vulnerable and unwaveringly loyal, Justin proved to be book boyfriend perfection.
This breathtaking journey was part friends-to-lovers part second-chance romance and one hundred percent addictive. Anie Michaels writing is enchanting, bringing Hadley and Justin’s world to life in a bold and beautiful way. I was thrilled to see so much more of Riley and Camden (from the With a Kiss series) in this novel too. Their friendships added so much light and love to the story. Hadley and Justin’s chemistry is as intoxicating as ever and I lost myself in the thrill of the chase. The fantastic push and pull between this duo had my heart all over the map and ensured I was deeply invested in Hadley and Justin’s happily ever after. Anie Michaels undoubtedly has another swoon-worthy romance on her hands with this one - Had Enough is sexy, entertaining, and full of feels!

Wow! What a story!!! Since I will keep this review spoiler free, you best be prepared for a few jaw dropping WOW's!! Hadley & Justin's story was AMAZING! Flawlessly written with a few twists! It was great that we got snippets of Camden and Riley! Love them! This is a great read!
Had Enough ( With a Kiss Book 3 ) By Anie Michaels
Had Enough ( With a Kiss Book 3 ) By Anie Michaels is the third book in her With a Kiss series.I absolutely loved this book I couldn't put it down once I started reading . This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first two books in this series as well.I really like the authors style of writing and her ability to grab your attention from the beginning and keep it till the end. I like that this was some what fast paced .The characters are amazing and I love them all. This is the story about Justin and Hadley. These two meet when both of there best friend’s get together, from the moment Justin first saw Hadley he was a tongue tied goner. He knew in that moment he wanted her for more than just a one nighter.Hadley is attracted to the hot tie that is Justin but she just can't go there. These two the attraction is off the charts but she's not quite willing to admit it just yet
Then one night they hook up she automatically runs and convinces herself it was a mistake but even she knows it wasn't. Only problem is now that Justin has had a taste he not only wants more but he wants it all with Hadley. He just has to somehow prove to her how good they are together. How far will he have to go? I love Justin because he's a man on a Hadley mission and he's out to get the top prize.I loved, loved, these twos story.Do they get a HEA? I highly recommend you read this book if you want to find out what happens with these two. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Had Enough by Anie Michaels is the story of Justin who we met in Kiss Cam – best friends with Camden and Hadley, Riley’s best friend. Had Enough can be read as a stand-a-lone.
Both Hadley and Justin have been avoiding each other for months and finally hook up when they are in Vegas for Camden and Riley’s wedding. The following morning Hadley wakes up and does the walk of shame. Hadley cannot recall the Vegas evening with Justin. She just wants to forget the one night stand and move on, but Justin won’t give up. Unbeknownst to her she finds out more about that evening which sets the story into motion.
I am a big fan of Kiss Cam and Riled up and loved Had Enough. My only criticism was that I wanted more. I hope that we will see the two in future stories.
Had Enough it's a beautiful, funny and sad story of how Hadley and Justin come together. Justin is just amazing, so patient and understanding. He's the kind of man you long to find. One who will never give up on you no matter what your damages is. Hadley is just scared, drawn to Justin but pushing him away cuz he wants more and he lets it be known. 9 months of struggle and here we are Hadley is ready to give it a chance, she's tired of fighting it. But Justin has a secret one he thought she already knew. They struggle to find their balance as a couple. How will Hadley react to the secret and can they find their balance? I love Hadley and Justin. Definitely recommend you read this book.
I received an advanced readers copy and I'm leaving a voluntary review.
Justin and Hadley seriously made me swoon while reading Had Enough!
I loved Riley and Camden from the Kiss Cam books and was wondering if Justin could measure up. How wrong I was, though. He has a huge heart and is a romantic even if he doesn't always show that side of himself to others.
Similarly, Hadley appeared previously in the Kiss Cam books but you really get the chance to know her better here. She is passionate about her job, extremely loyal to those she cares about, and independent.
Hadley loves to have fun, not relationships, and she has rebuffed all of Justin's attempts to get close. However it has been hard to avoid him with their best friends being newly married.
If you are looking for a sweet romance, this is definitely the book for you!
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
"Had Enough" is a stand-alone romance that is sweet and salty and funny and touching all at the same time.
Hadley and Justin have best friends in common and spend a wild night in Vegas while their friends get married. Hadley loves her chosen career and doesn't want to be in a relationship. Justin does want a relationship even though he has a bit of a playboy reputation. Watching them interact is fun.
This story is set up very quickly and is an easy read from cover to cover. This is the first book I've read by Anie Michaels and I suspect there is another book that runs along a similar timeline starting the best friends. I will be checking that out after I post this review.
Had Enough by Anie Michael's can be read as a standalone romance. However, these characters were introduce in Kiss Cam and then again on Riled Up. These characters are electric together. Hadley is a straight shooting, speak your mind and live with no regrets kind of girl. Justin is every girls dream! He is handsome and so sweet. He will make you swoon for days! Had Enough has a great story line that will suck you in and keep you guessing until the very last page. Fantastic 5 star read by one of my all time favorite authors!
Justin and Hadley story is sweet and romantic. Justin is sweet, caring, and very understanding of Hadley and how she has built walls to protect herself. Hadley with her crazy fun job that inspires her daily to be herself. This story is breathtaking and very well written. The humor Michael's provides makes you laugh and even in the more intense serious moments she is able to lighten the stress of their situation. This story shows the meaning of true friendship and being surrounded by people who do not judge you but understand that life happens. I can't wait to see how these two characters continue to develop and what may happen next.
Had Enough by Anie Michaels was a hilarious contemporary romance that I loved! It’s written in alternating first person POV by the two main characters: Justin & Hadley. This grabbed me from the start, and was read in one sitting. I love in the blurb how Hadley is described as “eye-rolling, f-bomb-dropping, crazy-sexy wildcat” because WHOA it fits, and she is ah-mazing! Love Hadley! She has no time for fools, and doesn’t commit. Then she meets Justin, and their chemistry is HOT, the banter is oh so good & witty. The characters seem so real, like you have known them forever. Really enjoyed this, and will be looking at her other books to read next!!
Had Enough by Anie Michaels is book three of the With a Kiss series. This series doesn’t have to be read in order to be able to follow along with the story. This is actually the first book that I’ve read by this author. I was sucked into this story right from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. I’m pretty sure I read the book in one sitting.
Hadley and Justin have crazy chemistry but Hadley keeps Justin at arms length, or further, because she is sure she doesn’t need to depend on anyone. She just knows that if she lets herself feel for Justin, the potential to be hurt is great. After a surprise trip with friends, everything changes and Hadley finds herself wanting to try at a relationship with Justin. The chemistry between them is amazing and undeniable any longer but what about their feelings?
This story has so many emotions it’s hard not to experience them for yourself. There were times The plot actually surprised me and it was so entertaining. I liked this book so much I might go back and read books one and two.
If you want a sweet love story with crazy chemistry and some surprises, this book is definitely for you.
The author provided me with this book and I have to review. I love this book so much, I love the craziness, the love, the tears and the laughter. I am gushing with emotion with this book, I cried so much thanks Anie! I smiled through this whole book and laughed out loud. This is definitely a book you will want to read and absorb it will give you the feels. I love this author so much she hits every point of emotion possible. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Justin and Hadley's story is definitely one of a kind, this book was definitely something totally new for me to read. But the push and pull from these two is definitely that keeps you glued to the book, the way that Justin shows how much Hadley means to him, and how much he wants to make thing's work, is probably every womens dream! the love and affection just makes it and all around wonderful book to read, the obstacles that occur between the two of them as well, they truly made it through anything :) totally recommend this book to any one who is looking for a good read.
Had Enough is the third book in the With A Kiss Series by Anie Michaels. This book can be read as a stand alone, and I know this because this is the first book I have read by this author, but it definitely won’t be the last. I will be going back and reading the first two books in this series. This contemporary romance had my attention from the first page. It just wouldn’t let me go, I ended up reading it in one sitting. I loved the easy flow and the way the author drew e in with great character descriptions and plotline. It was like I right there with Justin and Hadley. Hadley is a strong character who doesn’t is enjoying her free and unattached life. Justin is a down to earth guy and the chemistry between them is off the charts. When Hadley wakes up next to Justin, she does what her instincts tell her to do….run. You will have to read this great romance to find out if Justin is able to catch her. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read ,ore by Anie Michaels.
Had Enough is the third book in Anie Michaels With A Kiss series and WOW! What an amazing read!! I couldn’t put this book down from the minute I opened it. This was definitely a book that grabbed me by my collar and didn’t let go until the final sentence. I wish I would have read the first books in this series, not that it would have made this a better read, but because I loved the writers style so much that I need more of her in my reading life. Had Enough follows Hadley and Justin through the cat and mouse game of their love affair. I couldn’t get enough of Justin, talk about a hot HOT guy, and they way that he was with Hadley could short circuit any woman’s brain. The sex was off the charts and the story line behind it just made me love them even more. This is the first book my Michaels that I have read, but I have since picked up every book of hers, I loved this one that much. I can’t wait to see what she does next, and to delve right into her other books until her next one comes to my e-reader. If you are in need of a new book/author obsession, or just can’t say no to a get read than this is a book (heck a series) that you need to pick up today!!
Hadley keeps her feelings and her heart locked up tight. Feelings just gets in the way and makes things messy. She has always been a one night hookup kinda of girl and was okay with that. Justin was the same in his stance on dating. He was cocky and arrogant, but as the story progresses he shows another side of sweet and charming. He always considered himself a playbook until the moment he laid eyes on Hadley. He knew he was screwed because he was gonna make her his she just did not know it yet. Nine months later is where it picks back up their friends decide to go to Vegas and get married. Hadley finds herself in the one place she swore she would never go, in bed with Justin. So the only logical thing she could do was run. Justin is determined to break down her walls and try to prove to her that he is worthy of her. Only time will tell if he is right.
I loved this book!! Had Enough is the story of Hadley and Justin, the cat and mouse game of running and chasing, and finally realizing when you've "Had Enough". This book was so well written. It is a quick read because you once you start reading it you won't want to put it down. I am a fan of books that tell the story from both point of views and this one does that so well. Hadley is a girl after my own heart with her independence, strong work ethic and sassy mouth. She knows what she wants and doesn't apologize for it. But even those with the toughest exterior can be soft as butter on the inside. Justin is patient, sweet and probably every girl's dream. There story is a must read! This was my first Anie Michaels book, and I wasn't aware that this was book 3 in a series. That being said I didn't feel like I missed anything from the first two books. But that doesn't mean I won't go back and read the first two!
Oh wow! This is a standalone. However, I feel in love with Hadley the best friend in Kiss Cam. In Had Enough, I still love her and hot Justin. So, Vegas blew my mind and the ending - I had tears. This book was sweet and sexy. The relationship between the two, you just need to read this book.
Cute story. I like this author's writing style and that she doesn't add childish or crazy over the top drama to her stories. It was a fun story with like-able characters and I found myself eating up this story. A good follow up to the Kiss Cam story I read previously from this author.
