Single dad Elliot Spencer gave up on love after his marriage crumbled. He’s been alone ever since, raising his snarky ten-year-old son and pretending he’s fine.

But he’s not fine. He’s lonely, full of insecurities about his own worth—why his husband cheated on him, and why no one seems to want to date him now.

Until Mark Kade comes back into this life—the high school jock Elliot was hopelessly attracted to, and who went on to become a national sports star. But an injury’s put Mark out of the game, and he’s come back home to raise his own son in the quiet of suburbia. When the two boys meet and become friends, it throws their parents—Mark and Elliot—back into each other’s worlds.

Elliot still harbors his crush, but Mark’s straight. Isn’t he? Or maybe Elliot’s insecurities are leaving him blind to not only Mark’s sexuality, but also the kind of relationship he’s hoping they can build together.

Crossed Paths is a 30,000-word MM romance full of love, vulnerability, salty preteens, and steamy scenes.

Single person view

This was told from a single point of view. I️ prefer a 2 person view. I️ like to know what both characters are thinking. One person view makes it boring. It had some funny moments in it between father and son but basically just a boring story. Glad it was a free read on Amazon Kindle.

Cute as a button story. Two very likable MCs, lone dads with kids the same age. One of them has just gone through a major life change. The other, as a contrast, has a life that has gone on without any change at all for far too long. A sweet rather than steamy romance. Loved the bantering ex-husband!
