With no past and an uncertain future, Emily St. Clair leaves the monastery to become a mail order bride. Her journey is made easier when she meets a kindred spirit along the way, someone she could care for, whose troubles seem greater than hers. Deciding her future would be what she makes it, Emily embraces the idea of all the possibilities which lie ahead.
Only problem is, she’s not Emily.
Lonely and in need of female companionship Steven Kelly sends for a mail order bride, unprepared for the surprise that awaits him on her arrival. The woman who came to be his would-be-wife, was already married—to him. Although this woman looked like his wife, sounded like his wife and was wrapped in his wife’s skin, she wasn’t his Adriel. He didn’t know who she was.
The wife he thought dead, was back, but she was different.
Was this his second chance to right the wrong he’d done, or was she back to torment him? It hurt to be forgotten. Would his love alone help her to remember?

Sandra E. Sinclair is a dreamer and hopeless romantic. Sandra grew up in London, England where the skies are often gray and the streets could be cleaner. However, she doesn't let this dampen her spirits. She loves her hometown and considers herself a true-blue Londoner, who is happy to find her sunshine overseas, and she does as often as she can. It’s through traveling abroad that she finds her inspiration for her stories.
Her stories are designed to elicit every emotion in her readers. You will laugh, cry, be shocked, and titillated. The one thing you won't be, is bored.
While this is best read as part of the series you could read it as a standalone, there is enough included in this book that you wouldn't feel lost without the other books.
What a bunch of twists, it made for a really great story. I enjoyed getting to see another viewpoint of the characters from the previous book Sandra wrote in the series, the two fit together really well.
I lovely way to spend an afternoon.
The narration is excellent, I enjoyed the character voices and the delivery is smooth and conveys emotions well.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
What a story. The tale of Steve and Ariel's romance picks up after the author's last. Book, but reads well as a stand-alone. The author did well presenting the back story to bring the reader up to date to the present scene. A strong thread of suspense held my interest from beginning to end.
Captured Heart by Sandra E. Sinclair was another good read. This is book fourteen in The Sweethearts of Jubilee Springs Series. Emily has no clue of her pst and decides to leave a monastery to become a mail order bride. Little did she know she would find out the man she is to marry is already her husband and Emily is not her name. I loved reading Steve and Adriel’s story.
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. This is an awesome tale, covered partly on "Gambled Pride", this is Steven Kelly and Emily St. Clair's side of the mail order bride's tale. It includes amnesia, kidnapping, rescue and much, much more. It has a love match that endures hardship and separation. Yes, it's a grand tale, to be sure!
Wow, I loved this book so much that once I started reading it I couldn't put it down! It is one of those books that just sucks you in and makes you want the characters HEA, and Mrs. Sinclair has become one of my favorite authors, can't wait to read any other books by her!
While highly improbable, this entertaining, lightly Christian mail order bride story tell the story of Steve preparing to wed a mail order bride, finds his long thought dead wife from Ireland, when she shows up in town as someone else's intended mail order bride.
A mystery, love story and beasties all rolled into one. Well written. Tugging at emotions on every page. I love this series and the characters in Jubilee Springs.
