Read in 1998. A gangster and a priest trade places in this engrossing thriller set in New York and Mexico in the 1920's.

This guy writes such a great book. Apparently he stopped writing after "Big Time" and it took a lot of nagging from those close to him to write this one. Im glad he did as are many other people. I don't know the man's situation but he should write more.
If you like Lorenzo Carcaterra you'll like Marcel Montecino.

Talk about turning your life around from a mobster to a preist, what a story!!!!!!!!

The story was so drawing that after reading a couple hours last night, I ended playing hooky this morning to finish it.
