A girl just starting her journey, Eurydice finds herself thrust into a dark world from which she may never return. Can her true love face death itself and defy fate?
This is the second Latin novella by Miriam Patrick. The first one is 'Pluto, fabula amoris'. This novella tells the story of Eurydice and Orpheus. It uses 206 unique words.
I'm looking forward to more novellas like this! They are very useful to get students reading Latin instead of puzzling through a translation.
Simple and interesting story, with limited and repetitive vocabulary, and so well-suited for its audience: those looking to learn to read Latin as as real language. The repetition helps to strengthen the reader's understanding of structure and vocabulary, and the story keeps them coming back to read more. A welcome addition to my Free Voluntary Reading Library.
