I expected a well-written romance book and that's exactly what this duo gave me... an older man/younger woman romance story that sucked me in and didn't let me go until the very end. Single Dad's Christmas Present is a roller coaster ride of emotions, heartbreak, loss, blackmail, danger, sizzling chemistry that leaps off the page, family, steamy scenes, and love.

One ride filled with more than I was expecting from an older mad/younger woman. A steamy, emotional, chemistry filled, holiday romance that will have you asking for something extra in your stocking this year.
Amber and Gage had the sparks that she should have had with her husband, Scott. Things take a turn for the worse and she needs protection. That protection comes with a different set of consequences.
There were some tears but I just could not put it down.

A hot steamy read that perfect for holiday or for any other occasion.
A single mom and a single dad romance story, there's cute babies too so this book really warms my heart and put a big smile on my face.
This book hit me with hotness from the beginning and with all those drama happening in this book, also the sensual tension between Amber and Gage, this book is a roller coaster that I can't stop ridin'.
Love every second of it. All the feelings that this book bring.
I got frustrated, I got hot and bothered, and I'm on edge wondering what will happen to these two, will they got their HEA or not, and what happen when Amber's dad found out.
Yes I can't put this book down, once I start it.
As for characters, I love Amber and Gage, I can feel their chemistry and the pulls they're feeling towards each others. Two people that really know what heartbreaks feels like and trying to ignore their feelings to protect themselves.
These two are a lovely couple, so perfect for each other.

Amber has a lovely little boy called Ethan and a vile, wife beating abuser for a husband called Scott. She has started divorce proceedings against him and he is out to cause trouble for her and her Dad who is a congressman. beau, her dad, contacts his best friend, Gage who is a widower with a lovely young daughter called Lily, and asked him if he would take Amber and Ethan to his home in Montana to protect them whilst Scott is threatening them. Gage remembers Amber as a lovely teenager but when he meets her all grown up he is in a for delicious shock as she is stunning and he wants her. But he knows this isn't possible as she is his best friend's daughter plus she is getting a divorce! But Gage is a protective alpha male who is caring, gorgeous with oodles of charisma and can't get Amber out of his head. bearing in mind that she has had a crush on him since she was a teenager and she realises that he fancies her...well their chemistry positively leapt off the pages of my Kindle and sizzled. They must keep this a secret at all costs. I thought that Amy Brent had really created a fantastic couple in Gage and Amber. There is so much attraction between them, even though he is almost twice her age, but they are both caring parents who will do anything for their child. In Single Dad's Christmas Present, the reader is privvy to their witty dialogue and lustful glances as well as some extremely hot and steamy scenes that you may need to switch on a fan or your air con to cool down. Amy is a mistress at writing suspense, twists and turns in a story, fantastic characters and with such an intense storyline as this, it is sure to be a winner. I read this book in one go and it will be re-read so many times as it is such a winner. The bonus material at the end of the book is one that you will want to read too as it is so good.

OMG! Amy has done it again. What an outstanding book. A perfect Christmas romance. Bravo Bravo
Gage is a single father, losing his wife to cancer a few years previous. His best friend Congressman Beau calls one day asking a favor, to which Gage has no choice but to agree, seeing how Beau was there for him when his wife passed.
Amber is the daughter of Beau and she is going through a terrible divorce, from her abusive husband Scott. After leaving her husband with a few belongings and her son, Scott begins to plead to the media that she is a liar and he will take his son back. To get her away from the media storm her father asks a favor from his best friend Gage.
Gage takes Amber and her son to stay with him and his daughter. As time passes the four of them become close like a family. Gage and Amber fall into love. With one phone call from Scott that all changes. With Scott threatening Amber she runs. How will Amber fix this? Gage is upset and has no idea where she is? Can they find a way to fix this and come back together?
This book was so sweet. I’m a sucker for a good romantic knight in shining armor kind of tale. This book has everything. It has pain, fear, blackmail, sadness, family and love. I just love the characters. I just fell into their story. Two wonderful people who have had a rough time of things lately, coming together to heal each other.
Amy has such an amazing way of telling a story. The story flows so flawlessly and effortlessly. She creates a story that is believable. She also writes steamy scenes that have you begging for more. I like how her books are balanced with a perfect mix of sex and story. Sex not overtaking the whole book. She creates characters that make you feel invested in their story and have you falling in love. She is an amazing writer. I enjoy all her books.

Gabe lost his wife to cancer so he's raising their daughter Lily on his own. When his friend calls to asks to meet he never expects to be asked the favor his friends asks. Amber is coming out of an abusive relationship and with her father's help both her and her son are somewhere safe. However her dad is getting ready to go out of town for his campaign and he doesn't want to leave them alone so he asks his friend Gabe to look after them for the month he's gone. Amber is upset she doesn't want to be a burden but gives in and goes. She's always thought Gabe was a sexy man and that certainly hasn't changed. Things heat up between them as they are living together with their kids. Things seem very much like a family for them so its not a surprise when they give in to their attraction. However when things with her soon to be ex-husband take a turn for the worse it send Ava running from the very thing she wants more than anything....Gabe. What's going to happen if it gets out that she's carrying his baby while trying to divorce her husband? Will Gabe be able to convince Amber to give them a chance?
I loved this story. I laughed and cried during parts of this book yet I still couldn't put it down. I can't wait for more by these authors. If you haven't grabbed this book do so now you won't regret it.

First of all, this is not like any other single dad, older man/ young woman, story you have read till this moment. Since the first chapter you will be immerse inside the story and it will keep you wanting more!
Amber has wanted him since she was 15 and have not seen him since her high school graduation party. Now she is 25 years old, have a 3 year old boy and in between a nasty divorce, and she still want him and she knows he want her too. But can she do something about it? The press is already having a field day with her divorce and this could put her father out of his chair in the congress.
Cage is 47 years old, have a 10 year old daughter and is a widow. His friend asked him to take in her daughter, of course he said yes. He didn't expected how beautiful Amber is right now, she isn't a teenager anymore. But she is his bestfriend daughter, a younger woman and she divorcing a woman beater. They cannot do a thing about their growing attraction or can they?

Incredible Story
I loved “Single Dad's Christmas Present”. This book consumed me and I couldn't put it down until the last page. The story is well-developed and the characters irresistable. Gage a handsome single father is trying to get over his wife's death. Beau a congressman and Gage's good friend asks him to take care of his daughter, Amber who is going through a difficult divorce. Amber's ex-husband was very abusive and Amber and her son need a safe place to stay. There is sizzling chemistry between Gage and Amber despite the massive age difference. Can they act on their feelings? Any hint of an affair would damage Amber's father Beau's re-election campaign. An affair would also cause problems with Amber's divorce and custody settlement. “Single Dad's Christmas Present” is a fantastic story. An emotional, heart-breaking, romantic, steamy story. I definitely recommend reading “Single Dad's Christmas Present”.

Amy Brent and Candy Gray have written a great Christmas story. When Amber and her son Ethan need to be safe, her Dad arranges for his friend Gage to look out for them. Amber has had a crush on Gage for years and now she is 25 that crush turns to love. Gage keeps Amber and Ethan as safe as he can, and Gage’s daughter Lily grows to love them too. Circumstances change and Amber and Gage are forced apart but there is something that will always keep them wanting and needing each other. The court of public opinion is one that causes people to do stupid things but once Amber and Gage are safe from that, they can be together with their children as a family. Lovely book to read. Good story. I was privileged to have an ARC of this book but was unable to review it on Amazon, so I did not hesitate to purchase a copy so that I could share how good the book is.

I love single dad’s stories and I liked this one.
G is best friend with A’s dad so it’s just not any girl, he is older that her but that doesn’t matter when the feelings are real.
Both of them are trying to “get better”after their past relationships, both of those really different but that’s what makes them get together.
This book is sexy, sweet and hot. You will get a love story with single parents trying to find happiness again, and when they found find it together they are afraid what other might think. But they are willing to face everything to finally be together.
Because of their past relationships they are both mature enough to know what they are getting into and I like that there is not unnecessary drama just the correct amount to enjoy the book.
Loved the secrecy about the relationship because it made it a little more forbidden and sexy and it was what made me really enjoy the book.

I had the privilege of reading an ARC copy. Amy never fails to keep me hooked. Gage was asked by one of his good friends if his daughter could stay at his remote cabin for awhile. Amber was in the middle of a divorce and her ex was making life miserable for her and their son, they needed to get out of town for a while.
Gage had known Amber her entire life. He had ignored the attraction he felt for her, but having her in his house made things more difficult. Gage tries to ignore it, but Amber can't take it anymore, she has had strong feelings for Gage since she was 15 and she was going to follow through with them now.
But Amber's ex throws more wrenches into their lives and Amber goes into hiding for months. Gage can't find her, but when he finally does he is surprised to see she is pregnant.
They both realize they can't stay apart or keep their kids apart, they have become one happy and now growing family that has to stay together no matter the odds.

A hot and taboo love story from Amy Brent and Candy Gray. The more books she puts out, though, it seems the more she digs into her emotional side and puts into to her stories. I really think this collaboration was a huge success. This book really had my heart hurting in places for these two main characters. There was certainly passion between them but there was also a real bond that you could feel coming through the pages. Absolutley loved it. Each new book from Amy is just getting better than the last. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

When Gage gets a call from his friend asking for a favor it’s not why he thinks it’s going to be. Taking Amber home for a month so she’s not on her own with her son with everything she going through he never thought he would look at her in a different way.
Amber can’t believe she’s looking at Gage she’s always wanted him since she was sixteen and her feelings are coming back so spending time with him isn’t going to be easy. When they spend a night together it’s more than they thought it would be, but life gets in the way will they both realize before it’s to late what they won’t or will there second chance slip through there fingers.

Another great read from Amy Brent with her friend Candy Gray. There's nothing more sexy than a sexy, mature man who knows what he wants and doesn't need to beat a woman to be able to get himself off. I was glad that Amber and Gage didn't take the majority of the book deciding if the relationship is right. It's right as long as it's not incest or she's a minor. Love happens and it doesn't worry about age differences. I did get frustrated with Amber when she didn't tell Gage. If he, and her father knew about everything then they could get ahead of Scott's manipulations. Amber, you should have trusted Gage. He was mature enough to handle it. Wow what a book! This is an amazing story. So well-written
and such a good read. This is a big age difference but age is
just a number.
This is about Amber and her Dads best friend Gage. Man
has amber been through a lot her divorce. It is not a pleasant
one. She is not only fighting it in court but everywhere. Even
in her church. But when dad suggests she stays with Gage
she is not happy and he is unsure. But as time goes they fall.
That is till his ex shows up with a way to end it all. I never

Amber and Gage have amazing chemistry. Yes it's taboo because he is her dad's best friends.
Amber is a single mom who is trying to escape her abusive"ex" husband. After three years of hiding bruises from everyone, Amber decides to leave him, for her and her son's safety. Gage is a single dad who lost his wife to cancer. He is struggling to raise his young daughter. After receiving a call from his BF to help him out, Gage soon discovers he is in over his head. Amber is not the dorky teenager he remembers, but an attractive, beautiful grown woman with a child. Lots of dark thoughts run through how head. Amber had always harbored a major crush on her dad's BF. Now being stuck with him 24/7, things head up. Can their crazy feelings keep going?
Love this story. Amy Brent did a great job on the story, keeps you wanting to turn the pages.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Gage and Amber. Both are fighting the attraction to one another but neither realizes it at the time. What happens when they can't fight their feelings anymore? Will they get a happily ever after or will we find more than one broken heart by the end of this story?
This book is so good it will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There are some ups and downs that I really want to tell you all about but don't want to ruin the story for anyone else. I will say this book is one of those books that will have you locking the door, ordering in dinner and not stopping until you read those two words the end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

I have voluntarily read this Advance Reader Copy. Gage and Amber have known each other for a long time. She’s the adult daughter of his best friend. She’s going through an ugly divorce from her abusive ex and her dad asks Gage to take her away, out of the spotlight and paparazzi that comes with being a congressman’s daughter. While Gage feels a bit awkward about “babysitting” Amber, he’s repaying the kindness he was shown when his wife died. He feels a certain kinship with Amber, both of them having gone through a loss, and both dealing with how that loss affects their children. That kinship gives way to an intense attraction and longing. Gage finally asks himself if he’s willing to cross that line and act on the desire he feels and sees in Amber’s eyes. A very hot and sensual romance.

Story with potential
Overall I have enjoyed the book and up until half way through I was convinced I would like it and give higher than 3 stars score.
Amber and Gage have significant age difference (25/47) but are attracted to each other and eventually fell on love with each other. Both have child from previous marriage and are to become parents again. The story develops well but half way through at the pregnancy point and her ex-husband's blackmail attempt, both start to behave immaturely which I really don't like when heroes do that. The author should have been more creative in that respect as the story was too far fetched.
So overall enjoyable book but could have had better storyline aside hot scenes and thus deserving higher rating score.

Well this definitely starts with a bang 😜
This is probably my favorite book my Ms. Brent! There was absolutely nothing about it that I felt should be changed or different.
I loved that both Gage and Amber were both single parents and really, the kids, Ethan and Lily, made the book. It was an emotional read because of Gage’s wife’s passing and Ambers divorce from her abusive ex, but it was great!! This author writes so well that you almost feel the emotions that the characters are feeling. One of my favorite reads so far by this author and I would highly recommend you buying a copy for yourself!!

Amber just left an abusive relationship w/ her son, Ethan.
They are both trying to cope with their own heartache.
Gage is asked to protect Amber, so he take her to Montana.
In Montana, Amber is away from the Paparazzi, so she can finally breath.
Now, she just have to fight her attraction to Gage.
Being in close proximity does not help at all.
This was a very heartwarming story.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well written and had a lot of chemistry. Amber has always had a crush on Gabe. And when she and her son stay with him while she is going through her divorce from her abusive ex it becomes apparent to Gabe that his feelings are growing deeper for Amber. I was hooked from the very beginning Amazing story and wonderful writing! All characters are three-dimensional and believable. The storyline is intense, it's gripping in the best sense of the word. This book is great, a must-read. The author is one of my favorites and I look forward to more books by her. I loved the HEA!

A well written story with the topic older man/younger woman romance. I like the storyline and plot. It was very captivating from start to finish. The story flows well and is well balanced. It has a nice story but also some really hot scenes. I like the chemistry between the main characters. They are well described and develops nicely. There is passion, drama, heartbreak, emotional ups and downs, family issues and twists in this story. All this makes it a great read. Sometimes Amber was a bit immature in her actions. She could learn a lot if she wanted to communicate with her loved ones.
An absolutely enjoyable read.

So this is an interesting review to write. I really liked this book and wanted to give this book 5 stars. I really did. But I had to go down to 4 stars after thinking about it for a while due to the whole Amber leaving Gabe part and not trusting him. She put herself and her father above everyone else and I just can't get over that. Other than that I did enjoy this book. Gabe is a wonderful alpha man and he is a great father. Amber, I just didn't like that much. Even at 25 and going through a horrible divorce she still acted like a child when things got rough. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Amber first noticed Gage ten years ago, when she was fifteen. She knew that he was the kind of man she wanted to be married to. However, she ended up with an abusive man and they have a child together. Amber's dad is a congressman, and her ex-father-in-law is a rival politician, so appearances are everything. Gage, and his daughter Lily, re-enters Amber's life as a babysitter/safe haven during the media storm. The family time the four of them have is tranquil, and the time these two spend together is fiery! Hot romance with some political angst and trust issues in this older man, younger woman romance. Well worth a read!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book. I was in tears reading this book. Gage lost his wife to cancer. Will he ever find love again? He doesn't think so. Amber is going through a rough divorce. Her and her young son Ethan have nightmares from their past life. Amber's Dad is a congressman, always in the limelight. He takes an opportunity to get Amber and his grandson out of the lime light by asking his best friend Gage to allow Amber and Ethan to stay with him and his daughter for a month. Will something spark between them? I'm sure glad it does. It's hot, sometimes stressful.... A Fantastic Book!

A sweet older man, younger girl romance. Gage is her father's best friend and her father asked Gabe for a big favor. Would he let his daughter and her son live with him for a month so she'd be safe from her abusive ex. The chemistry between them was explosive and they tried to ignore it until they couldn't. Lots of drama with trying to keep the affair secret from her dad and trouble with her ex. A good read with a happy ending. I received an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

A taboo relationship between older man, and younger woman and worst of all Amber’s dads best friend. This is Gage and Amber’s story of a crush she developed when she was a sophomore. 10 years later after her father insists she stays with Gage to get out of the paparazzi chasing her for info on her bitter divorce and custody of Ethan. This is also a sweet romance both with their children Gage has a daughter Lily who adores Ethan. So their relationship begins. I really enjoyed this book and this is my honest review of an ARC I received.
