Clay Jensen comes home from school one day to a strange package full of tapes labeled 1-13. When he sits down to listen to one, he realizes he’s listening to the voice of of his classmate and secret crush who recently killed herself.
Hanna Bakerthe before committing suicide, recorded a series of 7 tapes on 13 reasons of her recite and mailed it out to thirteen people – one for each tape – asking them to pass them on or else a second set of tapes will be released to the public and things will end very badly for the people who were in Hannah’s list.
A complete thriller and heartbreaking story of an high school teenager.

•What I Like About This Book
.
I could be a great time pass for young adults. Sometimes it is very addictive. Very amazing high school drama. This book is trying to send you a message two young adults for mental illness. Also one can feel very emotional about the characters.
____________
•What I Do Not Like About This Book
.
This book glorified suicide. As if it is a a noble job. Hannah blamed 13 people all her entire tape recordings. We must know that most of them are teenagers. They are also messed up with their own lives. The story written mostly from Hannah Baker's and Clay Jensen's perspective. We don't know the other teenagers perspective. There are lots of question arises and the book failed to answer most off them. I think before recording those tapes and planning the whole matter Hanna could ask help from Clay and Tony. Except the rape and peeping Tom case the other reasons for committing suicide were ridiculous. Hannah was upset because no one was complimenting her for her new haircut, she was upset because a newly made 'best friend' broke up with her.. like seriously! You must know when someone is doing something bad to you, you are not the problem, the problem is in them. One must have a good understanding with life so whenever any problem occurs they can fight bravely rather than end their lives. There was a hope at the end but that does not fade the glorification of suicide.

This book is very sad. It's about a girl who committed suicide because she was getting bullied. Each chapter is a reason why she committed suicide. I recommend it to people who are getting bullied, or having a hard time in life. They should speak up, and that's what this book talks about. It is written by Jay Asher.

Honestly, i didn't really get what her deal was. If somebody told me my ass was the best of all the school, I would be flattered, not commit suicide. All of the 13th reasons were stupid in my opinion. Also, the last two seasons were a bit unnecessary because the initial thought was getting blurry. At the end i didn't know what i was watching.
However, Clay's girlfriend said someone really important - suicide is for the weak. I believe it's true.

After watching the Netflix series, I was very intrigued to read the novel. I enjoyed the Netflix series so much that I actually rewatched it multiple times. I did enjoy the book but it didn't give me the urge to reread it. There are a few reasons why I like this story so much, and I will further explain those in the following paragraphs

I feel that this story gives an insight on some high schoolers life for parents. As a high schooler, it needs to become more known that things have changed drastically from when our parents were in high-school. With social media, social expectations, and the exposure teens have; all of our life’s are a bit different then they can look from the outside.

Another reason why I feel like this book is worth reading is… it opens teens eyes to the impact their “simple and funny” daily actions have on peers. It’s so easy for inconsiderate teens to be blind sided by the effect they have on others because they are “joking”, and that needs to change.

Oh no poor thing. Even it is fiction it break my heart. eye-opener. It was so sad to know how even small things that people do without thinking, will affect someones life as big deal later. This one gives great lesson to society, if you are a human please learn to control your mind and mouth. simply that's how we differ from animals it can't be that hard. So don't ever let your actions to make someone life harder.

I really love this book because it shows how life really is and how people are rude and only think of their self and not about others. And I like how the truth always comes out know matter what.

13 reasons?
It is about a quiet student at Liberty High, a school currently mourning the loss of student Hannah Baker, who took her own life because of bullying at school. One of her friends arrives home to find a package containing thirteen tapes and a map of your city. Clay listens to the first tape and learns that Hannah made those tapes before she died, giving every detail of why she decided to end her life, and sending them to every person she considered responsible for her death, whom she mentions on each tape, the first. The tape is directed at Justin, with whom she had her first kiss on a playground shortly after moving her family to the Crestmont area. In that recording Ella details how Justin spread a false rumor that the couple had sex on the patio while sharing a daring photo he took of Hannah at an unfortunate angle, Tape 2, Side A, is directed at Alex Standall, whose Comments about Hannah caused the boys at school to sexually harass her, including popular jock Bryce. On the other side of the tape, Hannah talks about school photographer Tyler Down, who stalked Hannah and took photos of her. The third tape is addressed to Courtney Crimsen, who spread the rumor that it was Hannah and another student Laura in the picture, embellishing details about Hannah's sex life , On the other side of the tape, Hannah talks about Marcus, who went on a Dollar Valentine date with Hannah but humiliated and assaulted her in public.

What is thinking about the book 13 reasons why? Well, I think it's a beautiful book because of the theme of the book. Of course, the subject of suicide is not a wonderful theme, but I think it is good to talk about it, because of the seriousness of suicide it is estimated that 800.000 world citizens commit suicide every year and that is very serious, so it is important to talk about it, so if you see someone who has it difficult, try to talk to that person show that they are not alone, even yourself if you have problems trying to talk to someone, of course it is hard to do that, maybe you are ashamed, but your mental health is going first. Back to the book, sometimes when I read a book, it is hard to understand or follow it, but with 13 reasons why I didn't have it, it was easy to read and follow. Even when I was reading it, I felt a lot of feelings, I am a sensitive person, so I expected that, but it was not only by me, the book makes you feel a lot of emotions. That's why I think you should read the book.

I give this book a 4 out of 5 because it was a good one. One thing I will say though is that this is a really heavy book. It is about a student suicide and you might have to pause while reading it and have to read a happy book after because this one can affect you. I think the author is really powerful and if you enjoy reading books that are sad this one will be a good one for you. I gave it a 4 and not a 5 because I think that sometimes the author stretched the sad parts a little more and that made it a little harder to read. I would say the genre of this book is more of a realistic fiction, but a really sad realistic fiction. I would just say be prepared for what you are going to read because it is going to be quite heavy, but good.

It’s me live and in stereo?? Why would a dead girl lie??? Some of you cared none of you cared enough?? BANGERS!!
The pilot is well-written, but the final cut was better. I don’t like how obviously male-gazed Hannah is (“She’s beautiful but doesn’t know it”— bitch, every pretty girl knows she’s pretty and weaponizes it lmao)
That said — i need a dead girl media renaissance. I need prestige TV! Unfortunately, most people are dumb so we’re stuck with love island and all the other sloppy, trash TV shows. So, there is that factor contributing to why stuff with any semblance of depth/tackling of important themes like this doesn’t get made anymore. I yearn for a first season for YA shows as strong as this one, but that era seems to be a bygone. As most good things are.

This story is a tragedy in the true literary sense, and a tragedy in the life of a girl whose many choices led her down what should have been an "un"-inevitable path. There might have been 13 reasons why she took her life, but there were twists and turns that might have been taken to avoid the final outcome. The book, Hannah Baker's Fatal Flaw, weaves through the story and characters of 13 Reasons Why to rework those decisions and find better ways to navigate the same issues: suicide, depression, sexual assault, PTSD, boundaries, relationships, and a whole lot more.

This book is probably on my top ten list of books. There are many books that deal with the idea of suicide and depression, however, none of them have a more interesting plot and story than this one. This book was an absolute page-turner and I could not put the book down. I would recommend this book to any teenager because this book discusses the hardships and problems that young teens go through.

The way Jay Asher was able to creat such a sadness in a book in a way that can be read by teenagers is powerful. The message she is sending is so strong it was an emotional read but well worth it. The writing is simple but in a way that is effective in sending the message. It is for a sure a book all teenagers should read.

I loved this book but I must admit it made me overthink. Because reading this book, and realising how easy it was for her to hide her feelings. It kind of made me worried, like what if my friends is going through stuff as well but hides it like Hannah did. So if you’re an over thinker it might not be the best idea to read it hehe

!!Sooo sad book
It was emotional and very sad novel, it’s about girl who decided to end her life because of bullying. Each chapter is a reason why she committed suicide , through the pages you can feel how sad she was . I already see the series before reading but once I started reading this book I felt I wasn’t seeing any series before

I would recommend it to those who have been bullied or are still, or who are going through difficult times in his life, it is time to speak up and express what is inside you

Unbelievably well written. Please do not read if you are not in a good state of mind however as it will make you think of the times you were in similar situations or experiencing those same emotions. However, beautiful and awful at the same time.

The book itself was very good. But i feel like the beginning of the book didn't give enough context so if you haven't watched the show its a bit confusing. Overall the book was good and i really like the mystery part of it. But if i could change anything i would make the intro shorter. ANd introduce more characters.

Sinceramente es un libro que según la historia está bien, pero después de haberme visto primero la serie, tampoco me llama tanto la atención. Los personajes no tienen casi desarrollo y no profundiza tanto. Aún así, está muy bien. Me encanta el libro y la trama.
