An Unlikely Match

Rate this book
They have nothing in common … except two adorable children, and enough heat to roast about a billion marshmallows.

Nia Harris is a devoted mother who works long hours to take care of her son, Tyrone.

Her workaholic ex has no interest in being a father, but his financial support pays the tuition for Tyrone’s private school.

When Nia gets a call that Tyrone has been suspended, she meets the rough-and-tumble little girl he’s clashing with … and the girl’s devastatingly sexy father.

Dylan Yurkovich loves his daughter, Molly, but his IT securities firm takes up most of his time.

He can’t help noticing that Nia is lovely, even if she is a bit of a control freak.

Neither one of them can afford to take time off, and their usual sitters aren’t available during school hours.

With no other choice, the parents work out a deal to trade off childcare for the next three days.

The arrangement gives Tyrone the rare chance to play outside in the dirt, and Molly the opportunity to be a girly girl.

Their parents, meanwhile, see eye to eye on almost nothing … but they can’t deny the attraction sparking beneath their arguments.

Strong as their chemistry is, it’s no guarantee. Can two such different people bridge the gaps between them? Or will they say goodbye forever when those three days are up?

**** This is a standalone full length BWWM romance novel with an HEA. ****

I ignored the word Billionaire in the title and read this book anyway and it was a very enjoyable read.

A single mother with a son meets a single father with a daughter and the rift between their two kids brings all of them together to create a family. Very sweet!

Ups and Downs

Nia and Dylan's initial encounter is not a good one. They meet for the first time at a special PTA meeting. Their visions of what 's good for the students of the private school their children attend is very different. Nia sees Dylan as a guy who use his charm and money to get what he wants. Dylan sees Nia as a tightly wand controlling parent. When their Nia's son Ty gets in trouble in school because of a little girl named Molly, Nia gets called in. When Dylan's daughter Molly gets in trouble because of Ty, Dylan gets called in. Both children get expelled for two days. Problem! What to do? Nia finds a camp for kids for Ty for the two days. She tells Dylan about the camp when he explains that Molly's can't work during school hours. Nia takes Ty to camp to take the last space available. Dylan takes Molly to camp to take the last space. While they try to set up a way to share the last space it was given to someone else. They compromise. They each take both the children when not working and then turn them over to the other one to take care of so they can go to work. It works out well. Nia and Dylan get to know each a little and the kids learn to be tolerant of those they don't get along with. With time and exposure to each other they all learn to like and respect each other. They all start to spend a lot of time together. With feels start to grow between Nia and Dylan. When Dylan and Molly go to visit his parents he invited Nia and Ty to go along. The weekend is going great until Dylan's mother comes home early from her girls' weekend. After that weekend they spend all their weekends and some weekdays together. Sunday's include Mr. Larry. Things are going along great. Thanksgiving comes and Nia works hard to make a perfect family dinner. Dylan's and Mr. Larry are to meet at the family dinner. Surprise! Molly's mother shows up with Dylan's parent. Dylan's mother invited her. The close knit family that Nia, Dylan and kids have built is in danger of being lost. Nia cleans up after dinner and decides to leave Dylan's house and maybe Dylan. Dylan will give her time but he will have his family back. When Mr. Larry has a heart attack at work, Nia and Dylan both get a phone call from the hospital. Nia's friend Julia takes her last appointment of the day at work and gets Ty from school and stays with him until Dylan takes to his house. Nia is at the hospital waiting o see papa Larry. She trying hard not to brake down when Dylan shows up. After sitting and waiting for hours Dylan sends to his house to sleep. In the morning Dylan goes home to change clothes and bring his family to see papa Larry. After that they all go to Molly's dance recital. Through it all love grow in this family. Love that last through all the objections of Dylan's mother and ex wife. Dylan let's them know this is his family, like it or leave. Well done.

Finding love unexpectedly

This is a interesting story about two parents who meet at the school their children attends. There was an altercation between the two children and they were suspended from school three days and the parents had to make arrangements for their children to be taken care of. They took turns in keeping each other children and spending time together which ended up with them becoming a family.

A great duo of stories

Love stories. Different and good in their own way. Both stories have HEA with a look at love that is not all roses and pillows. The conflicts were real and dealt with effectively. Not a fan of piling on but the second story was so full of it for Chelsea. So glad that everything workouts.

Nia and Dylan's romance seemed to have sprung from nowhere. Life has a way of throwing good things into the mix of what we think are horrible things, and then turning out to be more perfect than not. Reading their love story showed how love can come in many forms and from any direction when you least expect it

Pretty delightful...

Nice linear development of two people as individuals, parents and a couple. Nia, Dylan and the two adorable kids Molly & Ty are sweet, funny and surprisingly relatable. There are a few predictable incidents involving Dylan's Mom & Ex and a few typo's but not a glut of them. Enjoy..👍

Terrible Book for Me

I found this to be a less than lukewarm book that was not captivating at all for me. I struggled to finish the story and decided not to even try the bonus book.

Unlikely Like

I really liked this story. I like the fact that it had somewhat of a different spin on the regular storyline. I loved the passion he showed people. It showed that money don't buy manners

Missing puzzle pieces

Perfect couple without even knowing it. Everything he is she isn’t and vice versa. With Kids fighting, parents disagreeing and being at different ends of the socio economic spectrum these two don’t stand a chance! Or do they? Good read, smooth pace.

Love is in the air

Cute story … I enjoyed the character development … wish there was a part 2. I wanted to see how the relationship evolved between Nia, Dylan and his mother! Hag that she was!

The dots connected

This book was written and connected the dots for me. Their mutual feelings aligned and worked well together. Although conflicted the heroine was connected to the hero. A few errors but written well.

😉

That was very underhanded that Yvonne did to Nia. If she didn't like she could very well been woman enough to say it. Instead of being catty about it. Love it.
