Private investigator, Hallie James, is hired to find out who is robbing the local banks. The crafty criminals change their MO with each robbery, making them difficult to predict. When they begin to kill, Hallie knows they must be stopped.

At the same time, a friend asks her to look into mysterious deaths at a seniors only apartment building. Is it murder, and who would want to kill the elderly residents?

With the two cases heating up, a major glitch in her personal life threatens to change everything. Hallie fights to keep herself from being distracted and solve the cases, before anyone else dies.

Hi, I’m DK (Danelle) Herman. I was born, raised, and live in a small town in Central Pennsylvania. I've traveled a bit, but I love my home on top of a mountain.
I'm married to a wonderful man. I've known him since first grade! We have no children, but my husband and I love to spoil our dog, a Labradane puppy.
I spend my time writing, walking, spending time with my family, and reading. My taste in books is as varied as my taste in music. I also enjoy older movies, some newer TV shows, (not reality TV, yuck), cooking, crafts, classic cars, and sitting on my porch. A porch swing is a wonderful thing!
I love hearing from readers! You can contact me through my website, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

I;ve enjoyed the entire series so far. Hallie James has a wonderful life, if you can overlook the dead bodies that keep popping up, the danger, and a whole bunch of things the rest of us, hopefully, never have to deal with.

She's a terrific character, except for the fact that I hate her because if I ate 15% of what she eats, I'd be the Goodyear blimp. Or the Fuji blimp, or whatever they'er calling it these days. But boy can she eat. And as great as her metabolism is, her brain and the ability to solve crimes is even better.

Her family, a wonder. Her boyfriend, a boy, and her ability to run a business and her life an inspiration.

And a lot of fun to read. I've gone through four of them in as many days, the highlight of and escape from a tension filled week. Enjoy!
