Hook, Line and Sinker – A Detective Al Harris Cold Case How long would you wait to prove your son's death was no accident? Dozens of family members and loved ones who never got any closure call Detective Al Harris to look into their cold cases. He ignores most of them, trying to get back to focusing on not doing any real work. Then a particularly persistent woman piques his interest. Her son died on a fishing trip with his friends almost a decade ago—seemingly just a tragic accident. But his mother is certain that it was no accident. When enough details don’t line up, the detective agrees to take on the case, even if it means the end of his career. 2nd short story in this series; while stand alone still connects to the first story. Well written and really tunes in on the minds of teenage boys. Detective Al Harris is still fighting his Chicago demons. I wish there was a little more meat to the story. Not that it needs puffing up, just more detail about the trip as it is being re-investigated. I am glad that the story is clean and respectful. I was given this free review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A new Al Harris' short story, this one lives to the high standards set by the first one.

A desperate mother, an old cold case, and a case that could be detective Harris end make this a thrilling read that will keep you glued to the screen/pages until the end.

I never even heard of this author until a few days ago and this is my second story today and since the story was only 65 pages long I figured what the heck. My gain! A captivating detective read engrossing main character and the story has an unexpected twist.

Short But Sweet!

It’s great how each book starts up from where the last one left off. It helps the series run smoothly.

Although the storyline had an interesting premise it felt like there needed to be more to the story, like it was cut short.

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.
