Firefly – “Adversity battles faith in Tomorrow River Country.”

Felicity “Firefly” Quimbly must make a heart-wrenching, life-altering decision; either choice will propel her into a world which she is unprepared to cope with the consequences. Only days before her wedding to Robert, neither Dan-Pete, the Indian boy she grew up with, nor Felicity Quimby are happy.

Firefly is the story of a spoiled and impetuous young woman navigating the challenges of living in Tomorrow River country in Wisconsin in the late 1800s. Although the adversities of life forced her to grow in grace and faith, will it be enough to bring “Firefly” and her family healing and happiness?

The story parallels many of the same adversities of life today and the importance of forgiveness and faith.

Firefly is the sequel to the award-winning novel “Tomorrow is a River” co-authored by
Barbara Fitz Vroman and Peggy Hanson-Dopp.

The scripture verses at the beginning of each chapter mean nothing when rape is romanticized. This book is literally going into my trash can. I give it a 1 rating only because zero is not an option.
