I Ching, Orion Plain and Simple
A practical guide to the basics of I Ching and how to develop deeper creative insight and intuitive power
The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is a mix of Taoist and Confucianist philosophies that has evolved over many centuries and may be the oldest book in existence. Its main philosophy is that nothing is static and everything changes over time, so our task is to adjust to the ebb and flow of changing circumstances. The I Ching can help us:
· Make decisions
· Manage sensitive relationships
· Tap into our creative insight and intuitive power
In I Ching, Orion Plain and Simple, Kim Farnell has made the divination system as modern, straightforward, and user-friendly as possible.

The I Ching can be highly metaphorical. This edition is plain and to the point. Its directness becomes a weakness, however, as some of the interpretations are trite and read like romance advice. As a primer, the book is useful. For a book that stresses practicality, the omission of a table that converts trigrams into hexagrams is puzzling. Finding a cast hexagram can be a tedious job. Informative but limited in scope.

I enjoyed this little book it was clear and easy to understand and one line: "Tell your enemies to get lost" proper tickled my fancy! I would love to collect the entire 'Orion Plain and Simple' series after reading this one. It's a book I can see myself dipping into here, they are always nice to have around, like an old friend who is always there when needed.
