He wanted more than her body, he wanted her complete submission, her abject, on-her-knees surrender.Rachel craves excitement and pleasures she's only dreamed of. She wants to experience the height of ecstasy, and when her friend says there's a man who can offer all that and more, she's intrigued — intrigued enough to trick him into believing she's much more than a novice. It takes Sir James about two minutes to realize the vulnerable woman on her knees is inexperienced. Even though he's angry at being deceived, there's something about her that captivates him. Despite his reservations, he agrees to train her in the finer arts of pleasuring a Master…of pleasuring him.Rachel never dreamed he would demand so much. Sir James won't be satisfied until she offers everything sacred, including her Unbound Commitment contains scenes of humiliation, beatings, mild f/f touching and other aspects of lifestyle BDSM that are not for the weak-hearted.

This one... ohhh, this book. One of the things i constantly tell people is that this lifestyle "isn't about the sex", it's about so very much more. It's about trust and honesty and all the beautiful and hard things that entails.
This book explains that statement in a way that i never could. But then again, i'm not a writer. This book is about the training of a slave, the hard realities of it, how a submissive must learn to trust, even though she's not been able to in the recent, or far reaching, past. It's about letting go and just "being".
This book got in my head, and made me take a good long look at myself (and my relationship). To me it was so much more than "just another erotica story."
i normally only read this genre for the entertainment value, but i've found lately that some of the erotica writers that i'm enjoying, are either connected to the lifestyle or have done their homework and have learned the real inner-workings of a D/s or M/s couple, and they bring some of that into their books.
Don't get me wrong, i still enjoy some of the erotic "fantasy" books for some escapism, but this one didn't hit me as one of those.
Master James is a no nonsense Dominant and Rachel wants to learn from the best. i feel she got *much more* than she bargained for.
The book has some "fantasy based elements" of course, but there are also lessons within the pages that every submissive or submissive slave can take away from this book. If you're a slave, you'll recognize them right away, if you're a submissive, (and or a slave) you'll find inspiration in this book and more than a few passages for food for thought in your own relationship.
All in all, this was a great book, the submissive training fairly dead on by a Master that only asks for complete trust and honesty. Cornerstones.
Had trouble with this one. Somethings happen in this is contrary to everything else I have read in BDSM genre. I am not an expert, I just read about it. But I always read that a good Dom does not hit or act in anger. That happens here. I also thought that a good Dom does not hit between the ribs and the bum. 0_o
I hate it when there books that are describe submission as only being ONE way. If you not EXACTLY like _____________ Or if you don't like_____________ Or are unwilling to do ___________ Then you are NOT submissive. I HATE that really. True, she may not be the submissive for YOU. She might not be to YOUR taste. This book actually offended and pissed me off a bit. I would have safeworded kicked him in the balls then sweetly said "Oh sorry Master, I don't guess that was very submissive of me" ASSHOLE!
Dominant Sir James is intentionally tricked into meeting and interacting with submissive Rachel. But it only takes him two minutes to realise that she is a BDSM novice. However, despite being deceived Sir James decides to take on the role of trainer for a week. He gives Rachel every opportunity to walk away from his demands and BDSM challenges. When she shows determination and perseverance his heart melts and he wants more...
Probably 3.5 stars. Last week I would have given 4 stars, but this year i'm going to be stingy with my ratings, as when i read a fantastic book, and can only give 5 stars, then wonder why I gave another one not nearly as intriguing 4 stars!!! So although I enjoyed this read 3.5 stars it is
