Smoky Mountain Secrets Saga #3

Murmurs in the Mountains

Rate this book
Lily Larsen’s life has taken more turns than she ever thought possible. Humiliated and scorned, she wants nothing more than to be back in the cove with her son. However, her folks will never allow her to return home after shaming the Larsen name.

With the unexpected help of some dear friends, she moves to Asheville, North Carolina to work as a nanny. Though the family’s four children work their way into her heart, they can’t replace the emptiness left by the absence of her own child.

Violet and Gideon Myers are happy newlyweds. When Gideon continues to struggle with physical limitations, Violet is determined to show him that he’s capable of almost anything. But when sickness comes to the cove and threatens those he loves, Gideon must face his biggest fears of all.

Caleb and Rebecca Henry have finally settled into their marriage. They’ve found joy and contentment in each other and their family, but unexpected visitors change everything.

Hushed secrets become louder, until everyone can hear the murmurs in the mountains.

Jeanne Hardt

Jeanne Hardt has always been involved in the creative arts in one form or fashion.

In November of 2010, a dream inspired her to write her first novel. Having moved from the Northwest to the South in the mid-nineties, she was drawn to Southern history.

Though she moved to Tennessee to pursue a career in music and acting, once she set her hands on the computer keyboard, she discovered her true passion and hasn’t stopped writing since.

Her stories are far from typical romances, though she promises a happy ending. She’s recently branched out into other genres, including young adult and contemporary women’s fiction. However, her true writing passion will always remain with historical fiction.

She currently lives in Tennessee with her husband, their little dog, Jax, and a multitude of dreams.

Story continues

Love getting a little more depth with each story centering more around a selected family member and the current drama facing them. At the end of the day it’s a good read about a heartwarming family that is trying to support each other.

Murmurs In The Mountains

Once again, Jeanne Hardt delivers another historical fiction novel! This was the last???? I'm her SMOKEY MOUNTAIN SECRETS series. Ms. Hardt has a rare talent for making the characters come to life. I find myself looking forward to bedtime (which is my reading time), so I can pick up where I left off. I'm about to begin her Southern History saga. Kudos Ms. Hardt for another five star novel!

Third time is a charm

The third and hopefully not the last in the series. Life does have a way of working it self out. As with Herr other books this o he will grab you from page one and keep you going till the last word. With the series set in the wonderful Smokey mountains so close to where my mom comes from it is truly a blessing. Read the words but let the Lord work them into your life and get a deeper truer meaning. This is a series any person can read and appreciate. I hope you enjoy it half as much as I did, if you do your heart will be happy and thankful.
Enjoy.

Good and appropriate writing. I assume your understanding of the times were as refreshing as the theme of that extreme loss of good

Decent men forced by politicians to fight their own kin. Will we ever learn? I was in nam...we are a nation of peaceful people left pledged to do without thinking of the suffering. SAD

Great read about the bond of home and family

Such a great read about the bonds of home and family. So much history yet in a way that touches your heart to return back to your roots. If we truly trust God He will always show us the way to walk. Hard times do come but good times and love can always overcome.

Ups and Downs

This is a wonderful book of ups and downs in the life of a family. It only adds to the story to be set in the mountains. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I couldn't wait until I had all three. Lily is my best friend now and I am in love with Caleb. It will be one of those engaging books you wish to read again one day.
