Just when you think you have nothing left to lose…
In the exciting conclusion of White Out, Book 11 of the Irish End Games brings Mike and Sarah to a place they never thought they’d see. Stranded on a remote island in the Atlantic Ocean with no food, no electricity, and a once-in-a-hundred-year blizzard bearing down on them they not only find out just how alone they are in the world—but how treachery from those nearest and dearest is the most crushing loss of all.
Pitting their strengths together—former foes and long-lost loved ones—they must once more come together to do the impossible if any of them are to see another sunrise.
More twists and turns. An island in the middle of nowhere...a two year ice age storm...trying to stay alive until they can escape. Love this series...on to book 12.
I think I was expecting more from this book, possibly because I understood it to be the last in this series. It was almost read like an outline, things (murders) happened incredibly fast so fast that no one grieves, just "another one bit the dust". Sarah is becoming irritating by smothering her grown son, Mike has become a chauvinistic ass (even though he's injured), Insane Aideen suddenly becomes sane and pays for it, Fi has become redundant, Nualla has finally found a good man...hope she keeps him. Now, that it is decided that there will be a book 12 I do hope it is a bit longer and a lot more interesting. I always say I'm not going to get roped into these series but once you do it's hard not to find out what's going to happen next.
I know that offering the first book or two in a series for free doesn’t always work for an author, but in this case I was completely hooked after reading the first one. When I got to the end of what had been written I immediately signed up to be notified of new offerings and even preordered this book and the previous one (White Out). The story has kept me interested and still wanting more.
Boy, we readers have been waiting on this one and Susan did not disappoint! Interesting characters, clever plots, disaster after disaster, and a thrill ride for Mike and Sarah. We will be grabbing up the novellas and anxiously awaiting for Book 12. Susan, we never want this series to end!
I found this series of books to be well written and captivating. Almost breathtakingly pausible. The characters strikingly intertwined. A thin line between those with good and dependable character and those that are heartless tyrants. I hope that Mike and his true love can bring their group through to a happy ending.
The big freeze continues and everyone is trying to get along. Mike has amnesia and thinks he’s married to Aideen. The small remainder of the castle group get to ishmert on a ship. Some people fall in love. Many people die. There are some terrible betrayals. This chapter of the story is a murder mystery and the culprits are very unexpected.
Once again Susan thrills us surprises us, makes us laugh, cry, groan & scream! It was a nice change to have the book end on a good note, but keep us on the edge of our seats as to how they will escape!
I read it to see what happened to the main characters, who were all left in cliffhangers at the end of White Out, but a lot of the plot lines were way out there, even for me. I hope that the authors gets back in the groove with the next book, Cast Off.
I have read the whole series and have enjoyed it tremendously. I hate that it’s over.It kept my interest early on and I had to keep buying the next book. I will read it again next year because I loved it.
Book was very exciting with many twists & turns. Felt the book was too short. Was waiting for this new book to come out & read through very fast. Guess I was looking for more.
The Irish End Games is the best series I have read since Harry Potter!I downloaded Free Falling about 10 days ago and every time I finished one book I immediately downloaded the next one. Can’t wait for Cast Off to be released.
