Side note: I think this is the first time I've ever seen the world "intersex" used in a manga. (Possibly the first time it's ever been used ... ?)

this series is starting to get more interesting. we meet more new characters and a new mysterious adversary?? not sure when the third volume will come out but in the meantime I will attempt the novels

Well f*ck. I'm reading manga to relax and enjoy myself no to be emotionally devastated. So let his be a warning to you, even though the slime is cute the story isn't afraid to become quite serious if need be.

Крайне импонирует, что в этом томе судьба двух персонажей пересекается, но не идет по миллион раз хоженым тропам. Когда герою говорят, что у него есть предначертанная судьбой дама, то сразу в голову лезет возможная романтическая линия (даже с твистом вроде предательства/нахождения по разные стороны баррикад и т.д.). Но TenSura говорит фиг, и за один том умудряется перечеркнуть все возможные варианты развития событий с ее участием, при этом не опровергая предсказаний. Это и правда судьбоносная встреча, только смотреть на нее надо под другим углом.

За два тома главгерой успел подмять под себя деревню гоблинов, что теперь почитают его за божество. Сходить в гости в соседнее королевство (ничего особенного, если честно. Кроме ожидаемых будущих проблем в лице жадных человеков). Привлечь ресурсы со стороны и начать строительство государственной структуры на ровном месте. Пока все у него получается на раз-два, без длинноквестов и серьезных препятствий. Не удивлюсь, если постепенно под его крыло перейдут все местные группировки. Дополнительный балл за то, что население его лесного царства составляют сплошь монстры, а люди максимум мимо проходили.

Не стоит забывать, что сам главгерой – все-таки slime, как ни крути… Что является нескончаемым источником для стеба, даже с приобретением (около)человекоподобной формы. Очень надеюсь, что тема «бесполости» главгероя сохранится до самого финала, даже при наличии гарема.

Good, but still painfully slow.

I thought that the storytelling would pick up and go a little faster in this one. It didn't happen, which was disappointing but bearable.

The story in this one picks up the last volume's events smoothly and transitions into the next sequence of events decently. Somehow the story keeps surprising me, even though I should guess what is happening next. It's enjoyable (except for a few short parts) and really takes a cool turn.

The character development was done well but subtly. Nothing really major to say here.

Art style is good. The continuity is smooth.

Onto the next volume!

Cada vez se pone mas interesante,  Rimuru va descubriendo su gran poder y todo lo que es capaz de hacer. En este volumen conoce a Shizu, una guerrera muy fuerte y que comprende su situación y de donde viene. Lo que no me gustó es que su interacción con ella y lo que viven juntos es muy poco, me hubiera gustado que su historia juntos fuera mas larga.

Rimuru continues to crack me up and be spot on with his assessment of characters and situations. This volume we meet Gaval, Eren and Gido, a familiar trio of adventures! As well as Shizu who's also familiar from the first volume....and happens to be a legendary hero! It's nice to meet some new characters this volume, as they added something extra to the volume, as well as the story! We also briefly meet Leon Cromwell, a demon lord who summoned Shizu from Japan and I'm assuming is going to be one of the bad guys we'll go up against eventually! "Hot guy sounding name" fully cracked me up and had me in stitches, can't lie!

There's some action this volume, as we fight Ifrit after making a speedy exit from the Dwarven kingdom and the trial. We continue at a fast pace, but other than Rimuru gaining a human body which should prove to be interesting in coming volumes....not that much happens in this volume. We do appear to have a bad guy to facedown and a quest which should mean the next volume picks up some. Oh and Veldora's slime observation journal continues to be hilarious! I'm still not entirely sure which way this series is going to go, I usually have some idea by the second volume but this one has me a bit torn!

This volume has a slower pace than the last, but it does lend itself well to the story as a whole, easily securing events and tying up loose ends to make the narrative flow.

First, we've gathered some essential companions to build a home base. Second, we have fully explained the why Rimiru looked different in his 'dream'. Third, we have firmly established who our main villain is...or at least who seems like villain from our perspective. I'm looking forward to seeing how this story evolves and if our new villain is in fact a villain or if he is 'doing the wrong things for the right reasons' kinda character.

This is like reading a Critical Role story mixed with a classic RPG fantasy game. I love it~!

The second volume in the series, this one covers the conclusion of the dwarven city arc - with Rimuru returning to his people with new dwarven allies who have unfortunately been banished from their home thanks to a douche noble and a crooked lawyer... but who now have a new home with Rimuru!

It also (surprisingly) introduces Rimuru's "fated one"... and it's not often that something like that happens so soon 8'D Even if it did end up with her death due to the ifrit inside her having to be removed to prevent her from being completely taken over... oops.

Overall, this volume definitely seemed a bit slower than the first, but it's obvious that there's still a lot of world building and character introducing going on at this stage. I assume once that's all over... and once I pass the point at which I saw with the anime... that things will start to go much quicker!

The plot thickens, with a pig demon (orc apparently) being named Gerude, and being given a purpose to become “The Orc Demon King”. Dun dun dunnnn...

Side story: More fantastic observations from Veldora covering all the events from this volume ;D Doesn’t really add too much to the story as a whole, but getting to read from Veldora’s perspective is still fantastic :|
Plus, it also gives a bit of background knowledge to everything that’s going on, which is appreciated!

Summary:

Mikami's life hasn't gone as planned – or hoped. Unfortunately, his left was a fair bit shorter than ended. The one bit of good news is that he woke up in a new world. The strange news? He's now a slime.

Now that Rimuru is in charge of a village, he needs to step things up and ensure they're taken care of. Step one, find some better builders. That's why he was in the Dwarven Kingdom, to begin with. Which may or may not have kicked off a bit of chaos...

Review:

As expected, the series is getting more interesting by the minute. It makes it easy to understand why so many people gush about That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. I think I have another volume or two to go before I'm truly hooked.

The biggest problem is that much of the story is still pretty slow. Yet the main character keeps getting what he wants in leaps and bounds. I know that sounds contradictory, but bear with me here. They're still fleshing out the world, and that takes time. However, the main character's power continues to grow, though sometimes in unpredictable ways.

In truth, I'm not sure how to feel about the main arc of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol. 2. On the one hand, it was nice to see Rimuru leveled by such a human event. On the other hand, I don't know where this will go or what potential implications it will have. Only time will tell, I guess?

Après une courte empoignade avec le seigneur Vester, le Slime réincarné et ses amis se retrouvent mêlés à un procès qui menace de les exiler.

Durant ce procès, des révélations surprenantes sont faites et des alliances inattendues se forment…. Vous verrez bien ! ...

Le groupe d'aventuriers, avec Ellen en particulier, fait face à de nouveaux défis et risques.

Limule Tempest, le slime devenu souverain, doit prendre des décisions cruciales pour assurer la sécurité de son peuple.

Gobuta apprend au peuple de gobelins placés sous l'autorité de Limule Tempest a invoquer un loup tempête. Ceux-ci sont environ 500. « Il faut se dépêcher de tous les loger » en effet Il se déroule une lutte territoriale entre les monstres et cela peut engendrer des dommages collatéraux. de nouveaux héros entrent en lice, en particulier une brave combattante, Shizu, qui vient aussi du Japon. Slime et Shizu affrontent les insectes géants pour protéger le peuple des gobelins.

Gido, voleur, aventurier. Ellen, sorcière, aventurière. Kabaru, guerrier, aventurier.

Shizu voyage avec Limule sur le toutou monture, quand soudain elle jette le Slime le plus loin possible. Ses compagnons aussi se voient repoussés. Shizu possède un côté démoniaque qui prend parfois le dessus, voilà pourquoi elle voulait se retrouver seule quitte à lancer Limule.

Je trouve cette histoire intéressante celle de Limule une petite bulle de Slime qui a démarré tout en bas de la chaine alimentaire et qui en 100 pages à peine passe à la tête d'une petite nation de gobelins…

« C'était un héroïne louée sous le nom de Maîtresse des Brasiers »

Le « bon » côté de Shizu lui dit que Limule est son ami et qu'elle ne fait pas le poids face à lui.

Il se passe des choses très inattendues mais je ne vais pas vous spoil car on arrive doucement vers la fin!

Limule peut désormais prendre l'apparence d'une être humain.

Ce tome plonge encore plus dans l'univers fantastique de Rimuru et de ses fidèles compagnons, offrant une intrigue riche en rebondissements et en révélations sur les personnages.

On creuse un peu plus les relations entre les personnages, avec des moments touchants et des évolutions intéressantes qui enrichissent l'histoire.

Les scènes d'action sont bien orchestrées, offrant des combats dynamiques et stratégiques qui tiennent en haleine les lecteurs.

L'auteur continue d'explorer et d'élargir l'univers fantastique du manga, introduisant de nouveaux éléments qui renforcent la cohérence et la profondeur de l'histoire.

Le style artistique et narratif reste cohérent et agréable, offrant une lecture fluide et immersive.

En somme, ce tome 2 de « Moi, quand je me réincarne en Slime » parvient à captiver les lecteurs avec son intrigue bien menée, ses personnages attachants et son univers fantastique riche en surprises. Une lecture recommandée pour les amateurs de fantasy et d'aventure.

J’avais hâte de voir après ce premier tome introductif, ce qu’allais nous réserver la suite des aventures de notre petit slime. Il s’était fait verser de l’eau sur lui, mais le nain mécontent qu’on s’en prenne à son ami, avait mis un coup de poing légendaire au ministre Vester. Sauf que tout cela à finit par un jugement devant sa majesté le roi.

Ainsi, le tome commence là-dessus. Mais heureusement, le roi est plutôt clément et va juste les exiler du pays. Ainsi, les nains peuvent continuer leur route jusqu’au village gobelin afin de les aider à le construire.

Ainsi, un moment donné, près de son village, il va finir par aider un groupe d’aventurier qui étaient en difficulté. Parmi ces personnes, se trouve la fameuse fille. Celle dont il avait rêvé quand il était humain et qui d’après la boule de Cristal qu’on lui avait montrée dans le bar, va changer sa vie. Cette rencontre se fait plus tôt que prévu. En quoi cette fille changera son destin ?

Au final, le premier tome était vraiment introductif, mais ce qui est sympathique, c’est qu’ici, on commence à voir un début de quête pointer le bout de son nez pour notre petit Limule.

Il y avait beaucoup d’émotion dans ce tome et je l’ai vraiment encore plus apprécié que le premier. J’aime vraiment beaucoup l’histoire et j’ai hâte de voir sur quoi se concentrera franchement le premier arc, même si avec ce tome-là, j’ai ma petite idée.

En bref, Moi quand je me réincarne en slime poursuit son bout de chemin. On apprend progressivement à connaître et appréhender l’univers qui entoure Limule. Un début d’aventure et d’objectif commence à se mettre en place et l’émotion dans ce second tome était au rendez-vous pour ma part.

I really enjoyed reading "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol. 2" by Fuse. As a continuation of the series, it kept me engaged and wanting more. However, I still find it to be a relatively average manga overall. Therefore, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

The story follows the protagonist, Mikami, who finds himself reincarnated as a blind, boneless slime monster in a world of dragons and magic. Mikami's disappointment at his new form and lack of power is relatable, especially considering his unsatisfying life in the human world. Despite his initial setbacks, there are opportunities for even a slime to become a hero.

The author, Fuse, does a great job of blending fantasy elements with the gaming world, which will resonate with fans of games like Monster Hunter and Dungeons & Dragons. The premise of the story is intriguing, and it keeps the reader entertained throughout.

Overall, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol. 2" is an enjoyable read that continues the story in an engaging manner. While it may not stand out as exceptional, it is still a solid addition to the series. I look forward to continuing with the next volumes.

Mikami's middle age hasn't gone as he planned: He never found a girlfriend, he got stuck in a dead-end job, and he was abruptly stabbed to death in the street at 37. So when he wakes up in a new world straight out of a fantasy RPG, he's disappointed but not exactly surprised to find that he's not a knight or a wizard but a blind slime demon. Rimuru got in a bit of a pinch at the end of the first volume, so this one first solves that and then throws new challenge at him when he meets Shizu, a powerful adventurer.

I saw some people saying that this is slow but I think the pace is just fine. Sure, this is still more building the setting than active adventuring but on the other hand Rimuru already meets Shizu that was teased as super important person in the first volume. And that meeting ends in a way I didn't guess! That also leaves me wondering will there be more of her in her Shizu form or is she only a part of Rimuru now? Anyway, that was interesting turn!
Shizu also brought some action to this volume, although pretty brief. Of what there was, was fine.
As I've said in many reviews, I love fantasy world-building, so I don't mind taking a bit more time for it.

Rimuru's mix of being funny, helpful and adventurous, and a bit of silly too, makes him fun and likable protagonist. And I don't think the charm of him being a slime will wear off for me, it's just so amusing. And cute. I like Rimuru's human form too but slime wins. ;)

There are a few colour pages which are nice. There's also more of Veldora's diary and I think this time it was more worthwhile read than in the first volume. This time Veldora commented more on things we didn't get to know in the manga portion of the book, like how summoning from other worlds works.

Volume 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime picks up right where volume 1 left off. With Rimuru recruiting some master craftsmen dwarfs for the Goblin village. It's starts up with a dramatic court case. The other big part of this volume is Rimuru picking up some amazing new abilities, through some surpising events.

The volume is filled with a new mix of comedy and heart wrenching moments. If you enjoyed the first volume you are in for a treat. There are also some classic RPG references sprinkled throughout the volume. The artwork continues to be pleasing, and with a heavy amount of classic fantasy races easily stands out from the crowd. A personal favorite of mine being the goblins that Rimuru takes care of. I know in the last volume the artist said he has a difficult time drawing non humans but he really does a great job with them.

A fun final note is appears a villain has appeared, it'll be interesting to see how that will affect the series as it goes forward. Will this new foe be a match for Rimuru or will Rimuru's slimey might be to much to handle. We just have to wait and see.

A great continuation of the series. This volume coincides with episodes 6-8 of the anime. In this one, we see Rimuru continue to develop the town and come across some new companions who may make things more complicated for him.

As always, love the combination of adventure and humor. Great art style with plenty of fight scenes.

One of my favorite aspects on the manga is the bonus stories from Veldora’s point of view. It's really interesting to get his perspective and explanations of what's happening with Rimuru. At the back are a few short comics and explanations of some of the references.

Despite it's chunky size, this is a pretty quick read because of the nice pacing and interesting characters.

Siis tää oli todella hyvä, vaikka ei aivan yhtä hyvä kuin toi eka osa. Tää oli hieman hidas ja mua harmittaa et täs ei ollut paljoo Veldorasta (täs ei ollut lähinnä muuta kun toi lopun bonusnovelli).Noi bonusnovellit on muutenkin mun mielestä hieman tylsiä.

Nää hahmot on tosi kivoja ja jotenkin täs on mun mielestä sama tunnelma mikä seitsemäs kuolemansynnissä (mikä ei oo todellakaan huono asia), vaikka näis ei oo varmaan mitään samaa.

Tää piirtotyyli on tosi kiva! Nää hahmot on kaikki tosi kivoja (Veldora varmaan mun lempparina :DD). Nää kaikki hahmot on erilaisia ja muutenkin mielenkiintoisia.

Es genial como en estos capítulos del manga el pueblo de Rimuru crece y crece aumentando a sus aliados.

Y me pareció muy bien hecho lo del cuerpo humano de Rimuru, ya que al no tener un sexo definido es posible que el lector se identifique de la manera que quiera además de dar libertad de transformar al personaje sin problema. Y hasta podría contar como representación de la comunidad no binaria del colectivo LGBT+

Además de que es muy gracioso leer las notas de Veldora sobre los eventos del manga, como si fuera otro lector y con un conocimiento sobre el mundo. Y interesante que se sorprenda de los actos de Rimuru como si su posición de monstruo superior lo hubiera alejado del mundo así que todo es nuevo.

Suite des aventures de Limule, un slime "intelligent" voulant venir en aide à un peuple gobelin. Il part chercher de l'aide chez les nains. Hélas même dans ce monde, jalousie et traitrise vont de paire.
Les aventures continuent, et les êtres qui gravitent autour de lui sont plus nombreux et surtout très différents des uns des autres: humains, gobelins et nains. Limule lui continue d'évoluer tant au niveau des compétences acquises que de son apparence grâce aux rencontres qu'il fait.
Au vu du final de ce tome, je suis curieuse de savoir comment l'histoire va évoluer, car elle présage encore beaucoup de rebondissements.

Si j'avais été un peu dubitative sur le premier tome car je n'avais pas totalement accroché au personnage principal j'ai beaucoup plus apprécié ce second tome. L'univers se met en place, de nouveaux personnages apparaissent et avec eux l'intrigue et l'histoire se construisent un peu plus et cela devient assez intéressant. Limule semble un peu moins arrogant que dans le premier tome. Il créé des liens avec les autres et semble même avoir des objectifs plutôt louables qui donnent envie de connaître la suite. Quant à la fin elle laisse paraître une nouvelle menace bien mystérieuse... J'ai très hâte de lire les tomes suivants pour savoir ce qu'il en est.

Ok so definitely interested in this series. He has an analytical mind that really focuses on the surroundings and sees things that others will not. It was a caring move to help and assist his friend even if the results were not as expected. I will admit the thing that really keeps drawing me back is the diary entries at the end of the volumes commenting on what has happened. I find them fun and intriguing analysis from a different point of view. I will be interested in seeing where it goes from here.
