Sam Noir is a deadly detective adept in boring one-liners who has left many dead bodies in his wake, most of them enemies, but some loved ones who still haunt him. He is well known in the mercenary industry, so there is always someone gunning for him from the shadows like in any bad noir movie. The most recent attack almost kills Sam, but a stranger named Eddie, a police detective with a shady past (fit for pulp fiction), saves his life. The two band together to find who tried to kill Sam in a black-and-white adventure, part violence, part origin story and part 'snappy' one-liners.

This is a review for the whole mediocre story. They encounter and fight a woman with a rhino and then a witchdoctor. Sam's alliance with Eddie is put on hold when the witchdoctor turns Eddie into a zombie. Sam holds his own until the deus ex machina pulls his boring ass out of the fire. He doesn't find his would-be killer, but this leaves the door open for another story. I'm probably not going to read it.
