Zero Hour is the last of a five part series. It in total may be the best EMP event work I have ever read. It culminated with a truly honest description of an ambush with the preparation of a killing ground. Unfortunately I know what they are supposed to look like, and what happens when the first round is fired. But Jay Falconer had first hand advice and it worked to perfection. Of course this is a work of fiction. The best I’ve yet read. I offer two things I have learned the hard way. No hole is ever deep enough. Amen. And if you see an RPG heading right at your position, don’t ever try to outrun it. That’s why you dug that hole that is not deep enough.
I love all these characters. I cried with what happened to the Sheriff. I believe in starting over. Jack is the epitome of this. He is more honorable than he will ever figure out for himself. I think Daisy can help, along with adopting Megan and his comrade, Tango. I would love to know what happens to the world, what will become of Stephanie and Jeffrey. What happens to the strong town of Clearwater. This feels like a cliffhanger not the end. There are too many questions left unanswered. Please don't let it be the end!
I loved this series. I thought the storyline was well defined fast paced and exciting. I couldn't put any of the books down. This series grabbed me from the first page. I enjoyed following Bunker, Stephanie, Gus, Daisy and the kids. I felt I was walking with each character . I really hope not books will be written for this series. I need to have many a questions answered... Where did Misty go, did Steph find her family, what happened to the Russians, and did the kids sees come for Bunker
Jack has decided his plan and with the help of his small band of residents he's prepared to set the world on fire, or a small piece of it anyway. Just when he thinks everything has gone to plan perfectly a betrayal just might be his end. Wow, I think this is a fantastic end to an exiting series, and I hated to see it end. Action packed, violence, betrayal, suspense, and an unexpected twist in the plot wouldn't let me put this book down. The characters are all wonderfully well written, compelling, and utterly fascinating. I loved this series.
This is the final installment of the Bunker series. As with the other books, it is a well written thriller. I appreciate his authenticity of the strategies, battle scenes and weapons descriptions.
His development of the characters from book one to book five, was well done. Sometimes redemption is possible.
Would I recommend this series to my friends and family? Yes I would.
I enjoyed it, for the most part, but the characters (who are well-developed) would wander aimlessly in their heads occasionally. This happened mostly before a high-tension event and I just wanted to discover what happens and how. I still recommend this series and I already have book 6, hurray! It’s apocalyptic drama with a great storyline and a few editing corrections needed.
I don’t write very many reviews but I enjoyed Jay Falconer’s books so much, I had to say so. He teased his readers about possibly continuing this series but that was about two years ago. Oh well, I’ll move on, avid reader of action fiction that I am. His Redfall books were pretty good too. I wish him the best.
This was a fairly entertaining series. That said, would've been better in two or three books instead of five. It was more like a serial than a series. Jay had a good storyline and strong characters but some things had way too slow a pace and too much unnecessary detail. I liked it enough to try some of his other books.
OK this story is getting a little far fetched but we are coming to a ending. The first 5 books are available on Kindle Unlimited however the 6th is not. That is a bunch of B.S. (in my opinion). Either have them all on Kindle Unlimited or none at all. The 6th book is $6.99. I am NOT going to buy it. There are MUCH better series out there on the genre.
Absolutely loved this book along with the four previous books in this series. Falconer's attention to details and worldbuilding easily immerses you into Bunker's world. Just wish this wasn't the end of the story!
Loved this series. Each character had me tied down and invested. Hopefully you do some spin offs, I'd love to see how Stephanie and Dickys travels go. Also how Bunker and Daisy turn out
J Falconer created a great series with Bunker. Bunker #5 continues the high standard of the rest of the series. Now I wish there were more of this series to read. If you like PA fiction, this is a great series.
Liked the series which had endings without ending the storyline. Not a cliffhanger but would’ve loved if it had been a single book. Narrator is terrific and I’m glad they had him perform the whole series.
This way one of my favorite series that I have read using Kindle Unlimited. I seriously hope the story continues and we learn more about the aftermath of the invasion including who took the pictures!
This book kept me listening for hours. I can’t wait to see what happens. This action-packed story will have you on the edge of your seat as the Russians attack. I just hope the townspeople can survive. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Different type of post-apocalyptic series involving an attack on America with an EMP and invading force. 5 books in the series and a lot of plot holes. Decent writing, great action, but a little more depth to the main character from the get-go would've made him a little more likable.
Great ending to this book. Too bad friggin Libby doesn't have the final piece. I need it bad.
Bunker is a hell of a character with a hell of a past. It was woven well throughout the story and relationships rear their true heads throughout the finale of this book. Damn well done
I've read the entire series and loved each one of the books. The character development is amazing, the plot is well thought out and the writing is superb. If your looking for something to grab a hold of you and not let go, this is the series to do that!
