J.P. Leck is the architect of The Endless Elsewhere, a vast, multimedia narrative, which consists of novels, short stories, short films, radio plays, comic books and a podcast. Some installments occur in the distant past, while many do so in our own present, and still others are set in the far-off future, yet all of it belongs to one vast, interconnected story. This is a saga of the phantasmal and the fantastic, of the weird and the wondrous, of a great darkness and a greater light that overcomes it.

Another great entry into J.P. Leck's Elsewhere World multimedia shared universe! In THE THIN PLACE, Leck introduces Violet, a cancer patient suffering from Alzheimer's who happens to be the grandmother of a character we've seen before. She recounts a pair of chance meetings with previously introduced Elsewhere World characters Rex Benton (heard in the radio play THE INFERNALEERS and seen in the short film THE NOVELTY) and Dr. Frederick Hardesty (seen in the short story THE MUSIC BOX and the short film THE SHOULD-NOT-BE).

This story not only gives us a meeting of three important Elsewhere World figures, but also shows us the origins of an important artifact, The Lantern (itself the subject of a short film of the same name).

With this story, Leck gives us an important piece of the puzzle he continues to build with the Elsewhere World and begins to connect several dots to bring together this sprawling narrative in continually exciting and surprising ways! I always look forward to new installments and THE THIN PLACE certainly lives up to all my expectations!
