My name is Ria Miller, and living a secret life as a teenage monster hunter is absolutely killing me. My friends won't talk to me, my teachers think I'm weird, my car is still broken, and the only time I go out at night is when my parents and I have to kill something that should've stayed dead.
But I might not have to worry about that double life much longer. Because when I stumble through a broken window into the path of a monster I've never seen before, I uncover a vast conspiracy that puts my friends and family in danger. Now I'm in a race against time to save the ones I love before its too late.
Nigel Henry writes gripping fantasy novels about monsters that want to beat up the world, heroes who have to beat the monsters, and distress-free damsels who can beat up everyone.
As a child, Nigel was the boy who constantly walked into street signs because his nose was buried in a mystery, adventure, or fantasy book. As an adult, he’s managed to get his sign-bumping down to “only occasionally.”
Nigel is the author of The Demons of Sedona epic fantasy series and Ria Miller and the Monsters, an urban fantasy adventure series. By day, Nigel is an award-winning digital journalist. He and his wife live in New York City.
Like the other books in the Ria Miller series, Ria's Broken Window is a fun, fast paced read. Our snarky teenage heroine is still kicking butt and also starting to growing up. Can't wait for the next book.
For those who want to know: This one has violence and a lot of language.
How do you balance a normal teenage life while being a monster hunter? Ask Ria, she's got... well some of the answers anyway. Action, monsters, there's tons of fun here, a page turner indeed!
It's great to be inside the head of a teen. Hunting creatures in the night with her family. I'm enjoying this series very much. It's a different take on mother hunters.
