Dnf 38%.... I can't finish it. I thought maybe just maybe it was going to be different but I was fooling myself.

Apparently Authors think every reader out there wants to read how the ow rocks the hero's world in bed and out? I know some readers don't actually care but I'm not one of them I do care.
Do they actually think it'll make me believe in his "love" for the heroine?
I don't mind when both main characters moved on but is usually the hero who has out of the world sex with OWs while the heroine is at home crying over him.
She dated 2 times and had sex with only one of them during those 8 years they were separated and hero has had plenty and I mean plenty of sex partners.
And he's thinking If he wins the presidency he will make the heroine his First Lady while still f%*#ing his girlfriend and parading this OW everywhere. How does he think this will work? People and the ow are thinking that he will marry her.
And when they find an email that someone planned to assassinate him his first thought was him being scared about the girlfriend not the heroine you know the one he supposed to be in love with? Only seconds later he thinks about her but she was NOT his first thought.
Let's not forget He's a cheating bastard, he and the heroine almost had sex and later his girlfriend is giving him a bj and he said that seeing this powerful and strong woman wanting to please him was a turn on.

Wow, not feeling the love for the h in this one whatsoever. Scuzzy ZH (zhero) with thoughts of how much the ow rocks his socks of in bed, was with her her years, thinking how much she compliments him. The h only came into the picture really when she showed up again, didnt feel this great love, certainly not the H's action thats for sure. Felt cheated (pun intented) reading this book! No great love between H/h hear, didnt believe in the HEA -- yuk

When I read the blurb for this I wanted to read. So intriguing and alluring. It lived up to this and more. From the very first page Mia Villano enraptures you into this tale of love, anger, jealously and danger.
We have two very different brothers and one seems jealous but also very lost. he allows his demons, anger and drugs to take over his actions. I don’t feel he ever grew up because he was always given help out of situations and always babied. His jealousy and anger lead him down a dark and dangerous path that definitely destroys him piece by piece until really reality crashes in on him and he is at bottom. You hope that this wakes him up.
The other brother,Sebastian, is the main character. He is a good guy. Strong character in principles and caring guy as well. Sebastian has worked hard to get where he has a chance to be president but has always had one moment in his past that has left a hole in his heart. When Daria walked away he was lost. He heart never really recovered and instead of letting another woman in he became similar to his dad when it came to woman in his bed. Only it didn’t affect his career. He was laser focused there and it paid off.
Now Daria is back in town and his feelings have surfaced with a vengeance. At the same time as Daria comes back danger has surfaced for him. He has leaks of information and threats against him.
As him and Daria begin to learn about one another again, we see the love expand and that Sebastian changes. He becomes more grounded with a woman. Finds his love helps to get him to focus on his goals but also free him. At the same time he sees his brother for who he is-an addict who needs to hit bottom so he can climb out and become the person he should be.
The story is intriguing and captivating. Reading Sebastian’s thoughts and feelings are wonderful and touching. Seeing why Daria left and how she feels is heartwarming and heartbreaking. The story is romantic in how Sebastian and Daria are given another chance and all that Sebastian is willing to do to keep Daria in his life. The struggle he has over the threats to him is heartbreaking. All the characters will evoke some emotion from you as does the story. It is character and emotion driven for sure. The journey of Daria and Sebastian’s second chance at love and his success is a wonderful story of heartbreak, love, family and friendship.

I was so excited about this book and it lived up to everything, I thought it would be. What can I say about the author is, she is very talented and I’ve enjoyed every book she has written. Mia Villano is one of those authors, I will always 1-click no matter what she is writing.
“I can’t let you go. Not ever again. I can survive losing the Presidency, but I can’t survive losing you. There are times when I’m amazed at how much you mean to me, how you move me, and how much love I have for you. You are mine, Daria and no one else’s. We may not have been together for a while, but you are a part of today, tomorrow and my forever.”
Who doesn’t love a politician? I just imagine what Sebastian looks like and how Daria fits him so perfect. How these two reconnected after several years apart and the chemistry they share even being apart like they had. It was easy for these two, but through it all, when you love someone everything else that is an obstacle makes you stronger in the end. In this book you do get the drama that comes along with family and being a politician as well. I’m not going to lie the sex scenes are off the chart and just enough.

“I love you more than anything. I love you so much I left you so I wouldn’t be in your way. I loved you so much I was willing to stay away from you so you could be who you were meant to be. Yes, Sebastian. I love you”

This story has everything. A powerful story of love and politics. Sebastian and Daria are two people who can't keep their hands off each other. This story will have you at the edge of your seat. It is gripping, hot,sexy as hell. Sebastian would give up his dream of becoming president just to be with the love of his life. Daria is a girl with a crush on a candidate and falls hard for Sebastian and when a life changing situation makes Daria leave the love of her life. But a chance encounter brings them back together and they rekindle their love and stop at nothing to be together forever. Mia you have done it again, you have made an amazing story that captures you from page 1 right to the end. I can stop reading this book ,its addictive. X

What a good book
I have to say I'm impressed. Although figuring out what sent Daria running was easy to figure out the rest of the book I didn't see coming. I didn't figure out the identity of the enemy till it was revealed and man it's a doozy. Good job Mia!! Great book!

This is the first book I have read by Mia Vilano. I love romantic suspense and she’s definitely taken the bull by the horns and written something that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Great book!

I was sadly let down with this book. I read some of the reviews and had high hopes coming into it.
I liked the concept of the storyline. Second chance love of a Presidential Candidate. It had the makings for some scandal, stolen moments, maybe some danger. And I will say that those elements were in the story, but it just didn’t have that “wow factor” I was hoping for.
I had a difficult time connecting to both Sebastian and Daria. I never really felt his strong attraction to her, and I never understood why she loved him with her whole heart. He didn’t seem like that great of a guy. Maybe a bit more character development and backstory other than times they had sex would have sold me on their love.
I also found the timeline hard to follow. One POV would progress over a period of time (like weeks) only to switch to the other POV going back to an encounter they were having earlier.
There were some plot holes, inconsistencies, and the tense shifted from one sentence to another. I was given an arc of this book, so I may have had an uncorrected edition, although it was after the publish date. I hope the published edition went through another round of editing and proofreading.
Other reviewers gave this book high ratings, so maybe this just wasn’t the book for me.

The question is will their love be able to overcome the secrets from their past or will it tear them apart and destroy their future and any chance of Sebastian making his way to the White House. Mia I absolutely loved Whispers on the Potomac, Daria and Sebastian were such wonderful characters to love and their past was so beautiful. I'm so glad you wrote another political love story, this is a must have buy it you won't be disappointed.

I love political love stories and this is a top 5! Yes they had to go thru heartache to get their happily ever after. It was great a storyline and quite steamy. This was a very good read!
