Similar to another entry in the way of life series, 'One in a Thousand - The Way of Life on the Road to Hollywood' (it even references that entry in the text), but with a different focus. Rather than only looking at the performer, this covers every other major job in Hollywood - Producer, Director, Scriptwriter, Agent, Cinematographer, Props, Wardrobe, Makeup - all of the miscellaneous careers associated with motion pictures. Told as a story, it follows the production of a fictional film from beginning to end; and while some of the details are obsolete much of the information is still relevant today.
