Execution

Rate this book
The Kingdom of Akeldama has long been blessed—or cursed, if you prefer—by the gods. The indomitable and awe-inspiring kingdom lives and breathes through the blood of the ones bound to its essence. Never before has an outsider successfully taken the Akeldama throne from the rightful heirs...until now.

The secret’s out... Princess Sienna is alive and now everyone knows it, including her husbands; but... she’s still trapped in that dungeon and time is running out...in a way that no one realizes.

Seeing the last Akeldama heir alive has brought hope to people that had long ago given up. Now they are ready to fight for their princess and the future of their dying kingdom.

Only the false king has ordered a public execution and their army is vastly outnumbered, will they make it in time?

AUTHOR NOTE: This story is a historical fantasy (heavy on the fantasy), reverse harem, SERIAL. There are twelve parts to it and I will release another part each month (barring catastrophe). Also, there may be triggers so if that sort of thing gets under your skin...maybe this isn’t the book for you?

Execution picks up where Captive left off. This installment sees more action than the first. We also get more character back ground like how Sienna met her husbands. We also see her strength as a character, and it shows in her not giving in to demands. I was shocked that she didn’t give in at one instance, which goes to show her determination to not let the bad guy win. It was an interesting take to see her husbands and their personalities more. We also have the introduction of a new character, which you can judge if he is needed or not. And again Faith does an awesome job of building the story, creating the back drop and painting the picture. Overall I would recommend Execution, especially if you enjoyed Captive.

I'm having a hard time with this. I really enjoyed book one. I also really enjoyed seeing what a strong character Sienna is. She manages not to do something stupid to save her people in the short-term. This is impressive in an era of pridefully stupid heroines. Execution is as well-written as book one, obviously, as the introduction of a new character has left me cold. I dislike his character and the dynamic he introduces to the husbands. I'm sure he has redeeming qualities, but nearly this entire book was following his egotistical ass and mind around...And he's not a likable character. There is certain to be redemption, but right now, all I can see him adding to the mix is ego and arrogance. Two things that do no mix well in a harem.

With this second book in the series I am loving it even more! In this book we get some more information on each of the characters and how they are connect with the MC. I still love the way this story is told with flash backs to the past for the background. This book definitely had a bit more action in it since we were introduced to pretty much everyone in the first. There is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but it is an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book!

Continuing the high intensity “what’s gonna happen” from Captive, Execution is a pretty ok second act. Enjoying the addition of the mystic aspect and definitely loving her interaction with the other prisoner. Her husbands are still question marks (I’m sure they’ll be better fleshed out in the next one) and really not a fan of Rhys.
Still, I’ll continue reading. Faith does action and suspense well and I’m admittedly on the edge of my seat wanting to know what’s going to happen.

Must read!

Starting off right where it left off, and it does not disappoint. I am loving this world F. N has created. Slow burn, keeps you on your toes and a amazing MC.

Another wonderful addition

What can I say to give this book the Recognition that it warrants. This book grows the Characters and further highlights their growing relationship. Can't wait to see where it takes us.

Part two was even better than the first! You get to know Sienna and her husbands better in this installment. If you didn’t love them before, you will now! I’m excited for part three and to see how the story and characters continue to develop!

Historical RH with a hint of supernatural

The book continues with the Princess and the King Killer still in the basement. Rhys tells the others that he has found her and has a plan to rescue her. Looking forward to the next in series.
