From the international bestselling author of STOP THE WEDDING! (now a Hallmark Channel movie) and the BODY MOVERS mystery series comes a new story of comedy, suspense, and romance.
Change is good... but not great.
In TEMP GIRL, an entitled diva is forced to take a job at a temp agency to get by, and takes a tumble into reality.
This TEMP GIRL, Part 6 novella is a month's worth of daily segments: DECEMBER
The Part 1 novella is JULY, Part 2 is AUGUST, Part 3 is SEPTEMBER, Part 4 is OCTOBER, Part 5 is NOVEMBER, part 6 is DECEMBER.
(In total there are 6 parts to TEMP GIRL.)
Don't miss out on this fun story everyone is talking about!
USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.
Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.
In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,
Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.
This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book six of six
All the hidden lies told by Delia come out. She is offered a job with her old company. She is getting married but leaves her boyfriend at the church. She starts a new life.
I would recommend this series and author to readers of romantic family and friends relationship adventure novels 🌇🤔 2025 👒😘
I liked this serial for the most part. At times it seemed to be trying too hard to be funny (urine on the floor at the music store). But then at other times, I couldn't put it down. I liked how Della ' s character evolved. I ended up liking Kyle more than I expected. Charlie was great. The ending seemed rushed but everything was resolved in some way. I enjoyed the serial format and reading it every day. I liked Coma Girl better. I am looking forward to a new one in 2018. Thank you Stephanie Bond for these fun serial books!
I couldn't give this a higher rating because of the abrupt ending. The first five parts I rated 4 stars, but this last part was disappointing at the end. Not because of the direction that it went but because of the lack of detail. Still a wonderful series and worth reading!
Everything was wrapped up in a bow but it was underwhelming. Some of the plot points too convenient and a little contrived. For the build up the book created in the first four editions it was a bit of a let down. Della was a flawed yet wonderful protagonist. Kyle was there in all the books but he got unnecessarily served up in Della's journey to improve herself. Her relationship with her family warranted more chapters definitely. Kyle meeting them was supposed to be a pivotal moment but it felt like an afterthought. Even Beltina didn't get its due satisfyingly. There could ve been another book with better payoff. Charlie went hot and cold, again the character from the first four books was tarnished a bit, still he made for a good leading man! Anthony, Casey and Joon-wo were absolutely noteworthy and at some points I cared for them equally, as much as I did for Della. Della was tough to like in the beginning but the journey of how she finds herself through a series of Temp jobs made the book worthwhile! It was good to read her grow as a person and she was constantly sarcastic which made for a humourous read
4 Stars to the overall series! Could've been so much more, just fell short of the mark for me
This is part 6 of 6 part daily serial, part six is December.
Loving the concept of Stephanie Bond’s daily serial books, of which I’ve previously read two lots from authors back catalogue. Anyway in this one, which is called Temp Girl and is where an entitled diva called Della is forced to take jobs at a temp agency to get by, and takes a tumble into reality.
So that is it, the six part daily serial has come to an end. It was highly enjoyable and entertaining from start to finish although if I were to give one criticism it would be that the end/the last part was somewhat rushed in parts. But it hasn’t made me regret my choice in choosing to read this particular daily serial of Stephanie Bond. Plus I will be back to read more of her daily serials n the future I dare say, as they are such fun reads and a break from more serious complex reads.
I have read the whole series and was really enjoying it. However, I feel like this one missed the mark in the end. It seems like there should have been so much more or a different direction taken. This is the second series of this authors I have read. I'm hoping the body movers one is better. I mean I love her style of writing and appreciate the humor along with the creativity it takes to spin a series like this. Like I said, it just wasn't what I expected
So happy to see the conclusion to this story but sad it had to end!
I have waited since the beginning of November to read the conclusion to this story and I am so mad...that it had to end. I have loved Della's journey and shenanigans from the start and have been roped into her world month after month. Stephanie Bond did an incredible job keeping me in suspense and entertained with Temp Girl. Each character no matter how small played an integral part in this serial and I will miss reading about them monthly. I loved Della's interaction with the men in her life. The overworked Jack Terry, dramatic and energetic Anthony and especially the chemistry and banter with Chef Charlie. The female friendships that bloomed out of Della's need to do temp work was the most rewarding to witness. It's nice to see her attitude change from self absorbed to one that truly cares for others along with the struggle to do good. I knew going into this serial that it was going to be an emotional rollercoaster having already read the Coma Girl series. Thank you for such a different format even if personally I would rather binge on the whole story in one sitting.
Della Cullpepper is a successful salesperson in a pharmaceutical company, haughty and driven and nasty to others. She loses her job and has to resort to temporary work in a wide variety of businesses. As she works she grows. Her adventures help to solve crimes and become more aware of those around her.
I read all of this as a serialized daily story on the Web and looked forward to each installment, an interesting and varied tale. I had also read Ms. Bond's "Coma Girl" in the same way. Both sets of novellas are good reading.
Not your typical romance...but a story with great insight into several important issues taking center stage in our society. Very well written (except for some typos), with moments of very real humor. Mae's "coming of age" realizations about herself and the struggles she had choosing between doing the right thing versus the "doing the right thing for me" mirror what people of all walks of life and financial situations deal with. I've always loved Stephanie Bond's writing, and this one does not disappoint.
Coma Girl and Temp Girl were suggested to me by my sister. I drew a conclusion based on the titles and dragged my feet for awhile. Wow. Did I short change myself or what?! Both of these far exceeded my expectations. They are engaging, enlightening, adventurous, sad, funny, heartwarming.....need I say more? I was drawn in immediately and literally gave up sleep because I just had to find out what was happening next! The storytelling is beyond perfect in my world. More please! Much, much more!!!
MaeDella, the Temp Girl, came across as self-centered and hurtful in the beginning (part 1). But as the story continues, the circumstances change and she changes for the better, along with them. Lots of humor had me laughing out loud many times throughout the book. The author manages to include some real life issues in the book which make the story more interesting and meaningful. Many sweet scenes conjured up smiles and sometimes a few tears. I recommend it.
I have always been a fan of Stephanie Bond and will not normally pick up a novella; however, this group of stories changed my mind. Her character development of Della from a narcissistic mess to a truly caring person held me captive. The sprinkling of so many misfits she encountered had me laughing out loud. Only Stephanie Bond can inject so much humor allowing the underdog to succeed.
I loved this series! I purchased the last novella due to the season, was afraid I'd get wrapped up in the holiday and miss a day:( This is the second of Ms. Bond's serials and I loved it! Was hoping Della and Charlie would end up together, such a cute couple! The sex scene between the two of them was perfect! Mystery, comedy, romance, this series had it all!
I have given this five stars because it was fun to read! Temp girl is a good book to read if you are short on time. I enjoyed reading it on my break at work. The last book I read in one sitting. Thank you Stephanie Bond for creating a great read r that keeps you interested and smiling!
Temp girl series...I read them all! I love Stephanie Bond! Maedella, the lead character, is real, flawed and funny. If I'd had to deal with the misfortune and bad luck she did I'd have curled up in a ball and cried. But not Della! This chick is the kind of girl you hate but then get to really know and you adore her.
Good characters. A light read. I liked finding characters from other series interwoven with a new one. The segment formula works well for Ms Bond & the reader. When a book leaves you wondering '...and then what? " the author has done their job well. When the reader finds themselves extending the novel's stories themselves it becomes a creative link.
I have read the entire series. I knew it would turn out the way that it did. Not going to say anything else about that. I am glad that it did and the journey to get there was absolutely hilarious. The only reason for the 4star review is I really hate books full of grammar and spelling issues. Now I am going to catch up with her other books.
I loved the book but I hated the ending it kind of left you hanging sorry I can't reccomend this book totaly good book up till the end maybe you could add a book 7 to it sorry again I do love your other books and will continue to read your writtings , your a great writter and I know we all have off days
These stories are so entertaining and very difficult not to finish in one reading session.
I have recommended all books by Miss Bond since finding and reading coma girl by accident. My sister's a niece as well as caregivers at the assisted living all read and then we talk about the different stories.
I enjoyed this series. As usual it was fun and easy to read. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that, this time, the author chose to include several "sexual" references and scenes that I found unnecessary, and skipped through, but perhaps that is just a reflection of my age....
Great, entertaining series. Well done characters and dialogue and thoroughly interesting story. I'd def read more about Della, Charlie and the rest! I'd say more but don't want to give any spoilers. I read them as quickly as possible and was sad to reach the end.
Couldn't have enjoyed this series more. Am sad it's come to an end, I'm especially going to miss Della and Charlie. I've met so many interesting characters. Looking forward to reading another of Stephanie Bond's series. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this series.
I loved Maedella Culpepper...but not at first. Her character evolves over the course of the series to someone admirable principaled and heroic, even though she seems like a jerk and a self-serving slimeball in the beginning. I wish Stephanie would write an epilogue with Maedella's HEA with MD's hero.
I enjoyed the the a Temp Girl until The December part. I wishes December had a little more detail. Liked how the characters from the Body Movers were a part and how a little for shadowing was happening.
One of those that is great until the really quick happily ever after ending. It was a story well worth the price-just would have liked a more believable solution to her money problems and an ending that wasn't so quick.
Thrilling ending to this serial read! Things are finally coming together for Della. Wedding Bells are Ringing. Beltina has finally called! On her way to meet with her old boss, there is pandemonium & of course, Della is right in the middle of it all! What an ending to a fun read!
The author wrapped up all the plot lines so quickly and not in a pleasing way. All the plot points that took 5 parts to build to immediately ended and in a dissatisfying way.
I truly enjoyed Marcella's story. So much, that I was sucked into purchasing all 6 segments for a total of $17.94. It could easily have been one book at a more reasonable price.
