A unique storyline about vampires, humans and an unusual relationship. A fantastic story and very enthralling. I loved every minute of it and I am definitely going to read more from this author. I highly recommend both books.
A *very* unique series. Vampires, human, apocalyptic, etc. Even a dash of sci-fi. But just a dash mind. There were a few issues but overall I found it enjoyable. I've a feeling that this author is just gonna get better with time.
To put it simply, I like the level of intimacy between Adrianna and Heather throughout the two books. The story was definitely different...interesting. Sorry to reveal the ending but it was new for me to read a vampire to human story in comparison to the usual belief that human have to become a vampire in order for the two species to sustain a relationship. In the first book, I couldn't for the life of me stand how immature Adrianna was being presented, esp. since she's over 200 years old. I realized by the second book that this was indeed deliberate and not a fault of the author. So I hope others can get past this to the ending. I can't say that I really liked the writing style especially for most of the dialogue. Overall it was an interesting read.
I don't give follow-up books a full 5-star rating, heck I hardly give normal novels a 5-star unless they make me cry, or I feel profusely inspired after having read the story, but this definitely deserves a read, if you haven't I suggest reading the first book because that sets up nicely to read this one. It's just such a nice character buildup throughout this one and the next one, I was at one point wondering if Adrianna was going to choose to have the other one back and to leave Heather, but then I was like, there's no way because they fought so hard to get back to where they were at in their relationship. I'm not the greatest libra when it comes to relationships, but I damn sure still love a vampire-on-human romance of any kind, and this story was no exception (it actually was an exception and was a very interesting ending I thought). I'm going to be keeping an eye out for more of Arizona Tape's stories since, even though she's so young (I'm a young writer as well, yet to be unpublished, but I'm working on that and know just how much time must've been spent in just these two books alone) she has this sense of maturity when it comes to her writing that not a lot of college students that are in my college classes with that are going to be poets, I'm the only writer in the class, and some of them don't even have that type of detail and maturity in their writings.
Adrianna has let her love, Heather, leave but needs to find her. The setting is two thousand years in the future where Vampires rule the world and Human were thought to be extinct. Heather was proof some humans are still there. In the last book Heather was in the vampire world, now the tables are turned. What can she find out about humans, the missing years of history and her own feelings for Heather?
This is the second book in the duology My Own Human and is a vampire-human romance with a twist. The characters are well developed, interesting, strong personalities and the capacity to change. While I liked the first book, I enjoyed the second book even more. The interplay between the two main characters was great and finally expressing their feeling was amazingly done. The dialogue was great and the narration gave enough deal to help one imagine the human down world. The storyline is creative and easy to read with a surprise ending. In this book the author does a great job of showing the wonders of the world, cooperation between people, and ultimately sacrifice for those who we love. Great book.

This book picks up weeks later after the ending of the first. Ade's world has been turned upside down since Heather left. With the watchful eyes of the Vampire council on her, Ade attempts to mend her broken heart. One day while in the forest Heather suddenly pops back into Ade's life. Only this time Heather offers to show Ade her world. As Ade enters Heather's world she is faced with hard truths about her people's history. Through it all, Ade and Heather are able to build an endearingly sweet romance. Arizona Tape throws in one final twist that you will never see coming. In the end Ade and Heather's love conquers all and our two leading ladies get their much deserved happy ending.
More adventures from Adrianna, the Vampire, and her human lover, Heather. We're given a tour of the human settlement underground and told of the shocking consequences of these lovers' union. According to the author's notes at the end, this book is the end of the series but there's just no way this is the end. The second book adds so much depth to the two worlds and to the two individuals that it makes me scream for more story. We're at the author's mercy but either way, I really enjoyed both books. My favorite aspect of the books continues to be the voices of the main characters, really fun and charming. Here's hoping for some future reading.
Picking up where the previous left off this pseudo vampire romp did a decent job at bringing the girls back together and deepened their love, but it felt like it was trying to sprint the finish line with no real reason to. It was nice to see the human world and how it contrasted to the world of vampires above, but it didn't let us linger their long enough. There were many threads that were just left dangling unfortunately and the two books could have benefited front being combined to one and adding 30,000 more words. I liked the ending events though. There was something poetic about something that Humans formed and bastardized with hate being cured with love. I wouldn't change that one bit.
I added a star which I denied the first book. Finally some decent world building. But I also deducted a star due major oversight which made the book really inconsistent.
The eyes! In book one it was a big issue, contacts where needed..the other way around? Nope. Even worse: the eye color did got mentioned multiple times and became a thing, however it never addresses the fact the color was wrong in the human world.
Perhaps I missed something?
All in all it seemed the writings of a young starting author and its just me being spoiled through more seasoned authors.
Don’t get me wrong: it’s a pleasant read, and combined the books give an entertaining story.

This book picks up with Ade longing for heather. Eventually heather does appear and then takes Ade to see her world. Ade gets to see how the humans live and survive. Ade also learns of her HISTORY. A lot of conflict enters Ade's mind after hearing. Also while among the humans Ade begins to change, She realizes this once she has returned to the above ground and things feel slightly off. Heather and Ade must make some tough choices in the end! Great book, Fills in some of the missing parts from book one !
Your Own Human picks up where book 1, “My Own Human” left off with the separation of Adrianna and Heather. Adrianna was able to battle her demons and grow because of her separation from Heather is breaking her heart. When they see each other again their worlds shift. This story has more depth than book 1, but it also leaves you with more questions at the end. I really enjoyed both books each for different reasons and together they tell one story of the true meaning of love.

Your Own Human picks up several months after My Own Human. Ade is is dealing with the emotional fallout of Heather leaving, and the fallout out from the scientists. I like that after Ade finds Heather, we get to see Heathers world, I like that in YOH Ade really grows as she learns some truths and her eyes are opened in regards to the past. Heather and Ade’s romance is sweet and I like seeing them figure out how they can be together. This is a beautiful love story.
This story picks up some time after the first one, Ade is dealing with the heartbreak of Heathers departure. But don't worry, Heather comes back into Ade's life and shows her, her world. Learning the truth of her history is tough for Ade, but true love conquered all. Left me with some questions but I'm okay with that, let's my imagination win wild. Well written and loved how the girls were portrayed.
This is the second book in the My own human duology and it picks up where the previous book ended. We watch and Adrianna and Heather have handled their separation and some really strange things have started happening to Ade. With her world turned upside down Ade attempts to mend her broken heart by meditating near where she found Heather and lets just say things happen. I enjoyed how the humans survived underground. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Heather and Ade are just my favorite. We kind of knew that Ade would find her way back to Heather and I’m so glad Heather was able to show her the underground human world. Ade of all people would be able to appreciate it. And she took Heather’s history lessons seriously. I need more of these too. Now
I do wish I knew more and if things turn out well for them both. I'm very intrigued how it all came about though and kindly glad at the same time I can imagine their life together. Thanks for a wonderful read. I look forward to checking out more books.
now they are in the future and the vampires now rule. She wants to find out what has happened to the humans and where or if any still survive. Will she find any alive? Will she learn to become more human? Follow her journey to find out

This being the next book in the series was a great story and read. The author Arizona Tape did a great job writing this This followed from book one .This time Aria finds Heather and goes underground to where she lives. If you have read the first book them you will enjoy this as well.
What a beautiful sequel! This book brought all the feels...heart break, flirting, love, wonder, devastation...and more. I love the world that Arizona created. Getting to know the human side of things was just as interesting as seeing the vampire world. I am sad it's over.
This was a great conclusion to Heather and Adriannas Story. Trying to reconcile who they are as a couple, how they could coexist. Whose world would they live in? Absolutely adoreable.
This is such a good book. It starts back up three months after My Own Human. Ade is trying to heal a broken heart when Heather shows back up. Innthis book we get to see how the humans live. The heartbreak and romance will keep you wanting more.
Ade finds Heather again. She gets to go to where the humans are underground and learns about their history. Interesting follow up for the first book. But still feel things left unfinished.

I would have given this book a 5.0/5.0 but the ending just left so open like that makes it hard to swallow that it is over after so many months ago I finished reading it. Like ambiguous endings are good if we would be getting a follow up book in this series Book #3 We Are Only Human.
This book picks up 3 months after My Own Human ends, when Heather leaves and Ade is devastated. Ade has been attempting to mend her broken heart when Heather suddenly pops up again. This time we get to see Heather’s world and how she’s been surviving. We get to learn more about how vampires came to be and Ade has to come to terms with the difficult truths about history. Their pain, struggles, and love are so beautifully written, you feel it all along with them.
