Lela is in danger, knowing at any moment she could be killed, and all because her boss, a Texas Senator, is in collusion with a cartel. She has the evidence to prove it, and agrees to testify at his trial. However, first, her safety needs to be assured, and so, into witness protection she goes. Unfortunately, before that can officially start, even more trouble happens, and now she's on her own, running for her life, literally, with a bodyguard, a former SEAL she's forced to trust because she needs him to survive.

Ripley (Rip), a security analyst for Stealth Security, becomes aware of the danger surrounding a woman from his hometown. Not only is she an innocent caught in a deadly situation, but he knows only he can help her, and he must do so quickly, before the cartel finds her, and makes her talk.

As Rip and Lela begin spending time together, even surrounded by danger as they are, feelings begin to emerge, joining the mutual attraction that started almost instantly. But with Rip's love growing for her, his fear of failing her does as well. He's already lost one woman he cared for, and the thought of it happening again, especially with Lela, terrifies him. The fourth book in the series brings Lela and Rip. The author brings strong well developed characters and weaves an intriguing story filled with twists and turns as well as suspense and danger. She brings the heat and I enjoyed watching them fall in love. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes and is a great read.

Grave Peril by Emily Jane Trent is the 4th book in the Stealth series. Lela Cabell is on the run for her life. She has evidence that her boss Texas Senator Ortiz is working with the cartel. Taken into witness protection Lela was supposed to be safe but her protection were murdered. Lela is one tough woman. She has trained in Krav Maga and learned other survival technique from her father who was a cop before he was killed by the cartel. Ripley McConnell, ex SEAL, is married to his job at Stealth Security. He grew up in Houston. Reading the hometown news he sees Lila's story and knows he has to help her. He can let another innocent woman die. Rip sees himself as damaged goods. He takes blame for failing to protect his fiancée and she was killed by the cartel.

Rip powers into Lela's life announcing himself as her bodyguard. She has done well in hiding but he knows she will need help against the cartel. The stakes are high for Lela. Her best friend and her mom are targets. Rip and Lela are attracted to each other but aren't sure if it is the intense situation or true feelings. Lela's first marriage ended up on divorce when she wouldn't be what her husband wanted.

The action is well paced and you can't help but root for the good guys. Rip and Lela have chemistry and his strong desire to protect her portray him as sexy. Grave Peril has a few POVs other than Rip and Lela. The Senator, an assassin and the head of the cartel all drive the action. Since there is a lot going on in the book, you can be sure you will be turning the page.

Gotta Love The SEAL's!!!!

Holy YES!!! Rip gets his story and boy does he get a workout to protect his girl. Lela Cabelo works in the law office of Texas state Senator Ortiz but when she gathers evidence against him for his dealings with a cartel she doesn't realize how much danger she is in. She is now on the run after her FBI escorts are murdered during an attempted kidnapping and she doesn't know who to trust. Ripley "Rip" McConnell happens to catch the story of Lela's plight in his hometown of Houston and feels he is the only one who can save her. Lela is not sure if she can trust Rip and feels she can't drag him into the danger she faces but Rip is determined he can't fail to protect another woman he has fallen in love with. With the cartel dogging their heels and calling in a deadly assassin with ties to Rip's past will he be able to save Lela so she can testify?? Losing Lela is not an option, she makes him want things he never thought he deserved. This is an exciting story that will have you turning the page to see what happens next. I love Emily Jane Trent's books!!! You get a romance with some suspense, danger, sexy protective men, strong women and the good guys win!!! I can't wait to see what Emily comes up with next because I'll be reading it!! This series is a must read and well with a one click purchase.

The adventure of a lifetime...

She use to have a life until one stupid moment and as the saying goes no good deed goes unpunished.
So here she was desperately to escape the danger nipping at her heels.
It never cease to amaze him the rising level of violence in today's society.
Ripley McConnell or Rip as most people called him was now a man on a mission.
Lela wasn't sure what to make of a man like him; maybe it was because she was overly annoyed since he did some how found her.
Or it could be she was just vexed because he looked like he stepped out of some hero movie.
The girl; no she was a woman and she had some serious kick but skills she totally stumped that vermin into the ground making sure he suffered.
The only thing they could do was hopeful stay a few steps a head of all those chasing her.
Lela only wished she hadn't inadvertently left her good friend or even her own family with targets on their backs.
Rip knew sooner or later he wouldn't be able to stop himself from acting on his budding attraction towards Lela
and once they took that step he never wanted to look back.
Rip never realized his own past would end up rearing it's ugly head until now.
However he made Lela a promise and nothing under the sun would ever stop him from keeping it.

This is the fourth installment of the Stealth Security series. If you've been following the series, this is Rip's story. He is a security analyst and he becomes aware of a woman, Lela, from his hometown who is in danger. Rip feels he is the only one who can save her, and there is no time to waste. As they spend more time together, their attraction for each other begins to grow, despite the danger that is surrounding them. Can Rip keep her safe and protect from those who want to kill her? The story pulled me in right from the start and held my attention till the last page and kept me on the edge of my seat, anxiously turning the pages to find out what happens next. Ms. Trent paints a wonderfully vivid image of all the danger and excitement through her great descriptions and really brings the story and characters to life. A thrilling read, for sure, and I happily recommend!

Our heroine knows something that can get her killed and it is up to our hero to keep that from happening.

This is book four of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required to enjoy this book.

This is a romantic suspense story and it comes out strong right from the start. I love this genre because of the mix of action and romance and this one certainly works on all accounts. The story is well written, easy to read and has a fast paced plot. The characters are well developed and both are tough and smart, which is what I like in my leads. There are some nice twists and turns to the plot which keep things interesting, as well as some nice steamy moments for our couple. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and am definitely looking forward to more in the series.

A story full of suspense, excitement and action.

When Lela finds information that her boss is involved in criminal activities with a drug cartel, she decides to report it to the FBI. To protect her they want to take her to a safe house but on the way they are attacked by gangsters. The FBI agents are killed but Lela manages to escape.
In Los Angeles, Ripley reads about the event and it brings back memories of another innocent woman he could not save. He decides to go to Houston to be her bodyguard and keep her alive until the Senator trial.

Lela is portrayed as a creative woman who can save herself. She doesn't wait for the bad guys to catch her, but she manages to stay ahead of them every time.
Rip has his own reasons for protecting her from the gangsters drug cartel. At the risk of his own life, he stands next to Lela. A good-natured man for Lela, a tough nut for his opponents.
An attraction grows between them, but personally they were words. The feeling was not conveyed to me in the words the writer uses.
Nice to read what the senator thinks and how he talks himself clean of his actions.

Yet another of Emily Jane Trent's engrossing stories. This time it's Rip's turn.

Rip is Stealth's analyst expert and he picks up on a story about Lela who is on the run for his life. Putting his analytical skills to work, he headed of to Houston to protect a woman he has never met.

Lela is employed by a dodgy senator, and her morals do not to allow her to his misdeeds. Once she has collected evidence, she passed it on the feds and she agrees to testify against her boss. Lela is then placed into the witness protection programme, then things went very wrong - that is when Rip picked up on the story.

Rip drops everything, tracks Lela down in Houston, and they then run for Lela's life.

I thoroughly enjoyed the read, it moved a long quickly, and keep me reading through the night.

This is book four in The Stealth Security Series and it is Lela and Ripley's story. This book has so many twists and turns that it definitely keeps you on your toes and it is a real page turner and I couldn't put it down. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and I had to keep reading to see what would happen next and it was so addictive. Emily Jane Trent is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed as they are definitely worth reading and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

Plenty of action:
This was a thrilling tale with a good balance between the romance and the suspense. I was drawn in from the very beginning and the way the author intentionally left you hanging or interspersed episodes of action made me want to devour the pages all the more quickly.
Lela was independent and feisty yet when she found herself in trouble she had to accept help in the form of a hunky bodyguard. Rip was fiercely protective and although he found himself falling for Lela, past guilt and misguided loyalty got in the way. I was so glad when these two finally found a way to be together.
A bit improbable at times, I nevertheless enjoyed this addition to what has been an exciting series.

Lela couldn’t ignore what she found out about the senator she worked for as a paralegal. She turned the info into the feds. She would have to testify in court, witness protection was the plan until....
Ripley McConnell (Rip) couldn’t believe the headlines coming from his hometown. He had to help Lela. He was a member of Stealth Securities, they did protection, bodyguards for the rich and famous. He just needed to clear the request to go back home. He had to protect her....
You’re going to love the story of danger, death, drug cartels, love in Grave Peril.

This series keeps getting better and better. There's plenty of action, deception, attempted murder and evading capture. Lela is on the run to stay alive and to testify against a senator she worked for. When Rip sees the news, he volunteers his own time to be her bodyguard. With what happened in his past, he was not going to let another innocent die. So these two are one step ahead of the bad guys constantly. Excellent read. HEA. The thing that jumped out at me from the start in this was how strong a character Lela was, she was Rip's equal and not afraid to show her emotions, her faith, her values and her love. I liked her so much and enjoyed seeing her and Rip get to know each other, trust one another, support each other and fall in love. I liked getting to know Rip better and learning about his past, I enjoyed them together so much that I was sad when I got to the end of the book.

An awesome story with a lot of action and heartache. Lela found evidence of her bosses corruptness and turned some of it over to the FEDS. They attempt to put her in witness protection and it turns deadly for the agents. She goes on the run on her own. Rip sees the story and wants to help and is determined to be her bodyguard. He tracks her down and she doesn't want his help because she fears him getting killed. He must convince her to let him help her.

This is the fourth book in the Stealth Security Series. Rip and Lela's story is a roller coaster ride for your emotions. The story starts of fast and it keeps up to the very end. Just when Rip thinks they're safe, bam here comes more trouble. They are attracted to each other but is it because they're surrounded by danger or is it something more. They both have past experiences that make them gun shy when it comes to love. Can the survive long enough to beat the cartel that is after them?

A PARALEGAL A BODYGUARD A CROOKED STATE SENATOR AND THE CARTEL

Lela has turned state evidence against her boss Senator Ortiz who is on the take for the Cartel. The FBI has lost Lela and shes on her own till Rip with the Stealth Security agency comes to her rescue. Lela tries to keep Rip out of danger while he is trying to protect her. They have chemistry and try to not give into their feelings. Loved this story the series is a must read.

This book is a great romantic suspense. Lela and Rip are quite the couple. Lela needs protection after she turns in a senator for illegal activity related to a cartel. Rip is determined to keep her safe but not fall for her. He’s loved and lost in life and isn’t prepared to do that again, but Lela is the perfect woman for him. Feelings start to develop while they are on the run, but will they make it out alive? If they survive, will Rip find room in his heart for a second love?

Lela and Rip story is a great read! Lots of action, suspense, and hot romance.
When Lela is kidnapped and her FBI protectors are killed Rip knows that is not going be easy to rescue her.
She doesn’t know him so to make her trust is job and a half.
This storyline line is rollercoaster of drama, the book you want to read until the end in one sitting.

I thoroughly enjoyed this new "Stealth Security" story! This series which involves former military men who are part of a group who help protect others as bodyguards. It is suspenseful and very intriguing. This is Rip and Lela's story! Great chemistry and interactions between these two. This story has danger, suspense, action and so much more. Nicely developed and well written story. This might be my favorite!!

Lela is going to testify against her boss who is in league with the cartel. Her guards are killed, but she makes it away. Rip is out to find her and protect her. So much action and suspense that hooks you right from the beginning. Great characters and storyline. Plenty of surprises and twists that you do not see coming. Well done.

Bodyguard by Choice

This is an action-packed thrill ride. Rip's decision to "volunteer" as a bodyguard for a total stranger began a long trail of danger from all sides, leaving no one to trust but the brothers at Stealth Security. This will appeal to anyone who enjoys military/romance with a healthy dose of suspense. Great plot and strong characters like all the Stealth Security stories. This is a great series.

As Rip works at the office he struck to helo a woman on his own terf but he has no idea where she is but that doesnt take long. Lela always thought she gave up on love and so did Rip but keeping each other alive from the cortel makes you learn stuff about each other.

This book had so much action I needed to have a cup of tea and relax after reading to settle down. Escaping, running and outwitting the cartel with Rip by Leas side was exciting and dangerous as well as very sexy. Ms Trent wrote so well I thought I was there experiencing the danger.

An enjoyable read! This was a fast-paced story with lots of action. The romance was a nice addition, and I liked Lela and Rip together. I was also intrigued by her friend Ashlee and hope she gets her own book!
