Lily, Zack and Khal can't believe it when the new headmaster at their school bans football in the playground. What are a gang of football-mad kids meant to do at break-time now? Then Zack has a brilliant plan and a very secret football club is formed...Light-hearted and uplifting, this tale of football-underdogs-with-a-twist is lots of fun.
When a new headmaster bans football/soccer at this school our kids are going to do anything to keep on playing. They find a hidden court, clean it up, and train with all their might. However I did think the way they were discovered was just dumb, not to mention that they were almost discovered by one of them who couldn't keep his mouth shut and had to shout and scream like an idiot. I could understand the reasoning behind the headmaster and the ban, BUT I think it was a bit over the top. The ending was nice, well at points, I did love the match, but found it a shame that happened. I guess I could have expected it, it is still a children's book. There were also illustrations throughout the book and I liked them very much.
