Metropo: Eight stories from the unending city

Rate this book
'The city’s asymmetric pulse surges through its grids.
Thousands are lost and you are no exception.
But the pulse does not cease. Neither the city’s nor yours.'

Welcome to Metropo with its gleaming spires and forgotten depths. A city so vast and dense it almost feels alive. Artificial or otherwise, its denizens struggle with familiar heartache and tackle questions we are only beginning to ask.

This ‘slice of cyberpunk life’ collection takes us into the hearts and minds of these denizens, presenting eight stories from the lives of those in the unending city.

Proud to say I was part of this book's Kickstart. It was a rollercoaster and a joy to read. Even though cyberpunk is a word that gets thrown around a bit, it is sometimes hard to find a book or a movie that truly sticks to the genre as inspired by cyber-overlord, William Gibson. I'm happy to confirm Metropo is one of those works forged from the original furnaces under the Sprawl, and Aspli is a man who not only understands the genre to its fullest, but is noticeably passionate about it, bringing it to life along with his misfit gang of artist collaborators or with raw prose. Eight stories from the Unending City I hope turn into many more.

A fantastic look at the world a few leaps into the future. I enjoyed the fact it was just standalone stories that didnt have far reaching implications into this world. Just people living their lives.
My literal only complaint is I wanted MORE but alas all good things end and the brightest stars burn half as long.
