Other thoughts I'm throwing in: A sweet short story that is complete without dragging things out via headache-inducing drama. Okay there is a little of drama, but the length makes it an enjoyable mini drama. (If the story had continued after the ending I would have gotten bored.) Despite the length, there was enough to make me feel sad. (Tears but no nose blowing.)
So disappointed, it had the promise of being an incredible story. It ended so suddenly I felt robbed of getting to know the character's that have been introduced and really understanding the events that transpired to bring both their lives to their present status. If felt short.
I expected it to be short, however i expected there to be more than a couple of lines of dialogue between the two main characters. To oversimplify it, to me it was hi, how are you? Horrible and you? The end. It started off with potential but the ending was too abrupt for me.
Even though this is only 26 pages long, it shows that time does not get in the way of love. Hannah was forced to marry a not so nice guy, forsaking a young Frenchman she rescued from shipwreck.
