I'd once heard that your senior year in high school is supposed to be the time of your life. I guess they forgot to mention the crazy girl who thinks you're after her boyfriend or the wolf that attacks you in the woods during the senior class camping trip. Between strange dreams that border on nightmares and Kodi Barrett, a fellow senior that I've been inexplicably drawn to for years at the center of it all, i was positive that life at Mountain Falls High School was about to get much more complicated. I didn't need my senior year to be perfect; I just needed to survive it!
Great start, but then it became too wordy. Needs a professional editor. I do not need to know every detail about your meals. Move on and please do not share every thought the character has about everything. Go back and delete. delete, and delete. The book would be so much better. It had a great plot and characters, but the details took away from the story.
It's your average YA shifter romance, which I'm all for, but it was very wordy which made it hard to follow sometimes. Half the sentences in this book could have been shortened dramatically and it would have been fine.
I expected it to be a run of the mill werewolf story, but it had some nice twists in it. The main character’s personality was very down to earth and likable. The high maintenance Alfa female can get tiring, so she was a nice refreshing change. And the hero was just a nice, strong loyal guy. Makes you happy they are together. Can’t wait for the second book to see how it goes.
I thought it was great storytelling. The characters were all likeable other than the characters that weren't meant to be likeable lol. I could totally see this as a Netflix series or movie.
Overall this is an entertaining book, it's average in someways; the whole teenage werewolf cliche. But still entertaining and I appreciated beyond words that there was no sex. I also appreciated the story for several reasons. First I was impressed by the insecurity that Megan suffers with. I kniw it may make her seem weak, that she is insecure about her weight, but that insecurity also makes her more real. I hope and expect that she'll continue to surmount that insecurity in the sequel. Maggie was also a fun little twist to the story and I truly hope she appears in the sequel.
I'm not giving a star rating because this just absolutely wasn't what I was looking for. I thought it was NA, but definitely YA. No sex on or off page the entire book, they aren't even fully bonded at the end. Had some potential, but overall was disappointing. Hated the way they made the heroine this insecure frumpy blob that even the H was like "I don't mind that you're fat" 🤣🤦🏼♀️Broooooo....not sexy or romantic. It gave "You have a beautiful personality" vibes...that's just not it for me.
I loved the storyline which is the only reason I continued reading. The reason for only 3 stars is because of all the mistakes. I don't know what it takes to make a book for kindle but I assume with any book it needs to be edited. The editor needs a new job because they majorly failed. Hope book 2 is edited better.
This is a cute high school wolf shifter romance. 🐺 🐺 This duet has so many things that I like about wolf shifter stories! Plus, I really enjoyed how the relationship developed between the FMC and MMC. Definitely a wolf shifter story to put on your list, especially if you like to stay more on the close door side of romances.
Good fluff piece, with decent writing. Just another teenage love story switch werewolf thrown in. Sugary sweet. The rating is because I don’t see much emotional development, rather insta-love at the beginning. The villains gave up too easily at the end.
Kindle version has gramatical errors and would benefit from a review by an editor. Other than that, it is a very interesting story with great characters.
Slow start but once the story picks up you won't put it down till you finish it. The writing could've used some editing as there are lots of typos but other than that it was a good book.
Tried reading it during my shifter/wolf phase, sadly I was not gripped. Had major issues with the layout for one and I could not get hooked. Hopefully other do find this book enjoyable.
