Deimos #1

Handling Haven

Rate this book
Haven Caldwell had the world at her feet. Traveling around the globe, hobnobbing with the elite, she did things other people could only dream of, but it was all a cover. As a covert operative of Deimos, a US black-ops agency that has more secrets than the CIA, she knew how to handle herself in any given situation, even if it required killing someone. But when her latest mission goes awry, leaving her in a wheelchair, she feels she has nothing left to live for.

Delta Force member, Sergeant First Class Lucas “Frisco” Ingram, will never forget the day he met the pretty spy whose life was turned upside down in a split second. Torn and bleeding, she begged him to leave her to die, but he couldn’t do it. Now, he can’t get her out of his head, and she wants nothing to do with him.

But when the threat of a nuclear bomb comes too close to American soil, Haven, Frisco, and the rest of the Delta and Deimos operatives must figure out who is behind it and how they can stop him.

While forced to work together, can Lucas convince Haven his feelings for her are not a result of guilt or pity and he has truly fallen for her? Will Haven figure out she has something worth fighting for staring her right in the face? Or will their chance for a happy-ever-after be blown to hell?

Deimos - the Greek god of terror. Seems a fitting name for THE most covert black ops group in U.S. history. When a communications snafu leaves both Deimos and the Army's Delta Force in the dark about the other's, and Trident Security's, involvement in an undercover op in Mumbai, everything blows up...literally! Haven Caldwell, long-time Deimos field agent, is gravely injured. Lucas "Frisco" Ingram from Delta Force reaches her first. The gorgeous woman's injuries terrify him! Haven's soon whisked off for treatment. The prognosis? At best, she's temporarily paralyzed from the waist down, facing months of hard PT. At worst? She may never walk again. Frisco feels a deep connection to Haven. He's never felt anything like it before. They've never met before. They probably never will again. Months go by. Haven's impatient with her lack of progress, her reassignment from field agent to desk jockey. Most of all, she's frustrated she can't recall specifics of the op in India. She saw someone. She knows him from somewhere. She's sure he's integral to the ongoing op. But she just CAN'T remember. Meanwhile, Frisco can't get Haven out of his mind. As Frisco's Delta unit is tasked with helping Deimos identify the terrorists responsible, unforeseen circumstances sideline Frisco, forcing him to work side-by-side with Haven. Haven trusts no one after being undercover for so long. And charming, handsome, sometimes overconfident Frisco gets on her nerves. Haven fights Frisco's attempts at friendship every step of the way. But she knows the answers are inside her head. She just needs to keep digging, To do that, she needs Frisco's help. Time's of the essence. The terrorist has a suitcase nuke. He's still out there, searching for what he needs. As another op is planned, this time it's Haven and Frisco who get left behind while their teams head out to face possible death. When everything starts to fall apart again, will Haven finally regain her memories? They just might be the only way to save the team. What of Frisco? He's helpless. Deltas don't sit back, watch, and wait. Can he find a way to help from the sidelines? And what about the attraction between Frisco and Haven? A semi-paralyzed Deimos agent and an active-duty Delta aren't a fit. Do they even want to try? Even if they do, can they? How? So many questions...so few answers. Ultimately, trust is the only answer to all the questions in play. But can Haven, Frisco, and the others reach that deep and pull what they need from the depths of their beings? Or will everything again blow up, this time maybe forever?

Samantha Cole combines military ops, suspense, thrills, and romance in a way like no other. I knew I'd love this book before I started it. Ms. Cole never disappoints. This is another offshoot from the original Trident Security series, and it's extraordinary! Some of the characters are old friends. But this story's centered around Haven and Frisco. Samantha Cole excels at blending familiar friends with new, creating a one-of-a-kind new world for her fans to fall in love with. One of my favorite parts of this book was the complex storyline: the terrorist activity, the roles of Delta and Deimos in investigating and attempting to take them down, and the incredible accuracy of the military and covert ops details. Samantha Cole shines in her accuracy, as always. Haven and Frisco's relationship captivated me. Their VERY rocky beginning, the stirrings of trust, then the obstacles placed in their paths, all led to emotions and feelings that pulled me deeper into the story. The action is nonstop. Nothing is as it seems. I loved every character in this book. Samantha Cole's talent is exceptional. Believe me when I say that Handling Haven deserves more than five stars, but that's the best rating I can give it! Congratulations, Ms. Cole! You've created another special gift for your readers!

One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

OMG!! I've volunteered to review this book for the author. Samantha did it again with another amazing hit, just like her other books. This story is full of suspense, love and emotion. This story is about Haven and Frisco. Haven is a member of Deimos, a group of US black-ops called in to assist on very dangerous missions. During one of their mission something goes wrong and Haven needs to be saved by Frisco. After that everything changes. If you want to know what happened, you need to get this book. I think Frisco and Haven is so close to becoming my favorite out of Samantha A. Cole's stories. I haven’t been disappointed by any of her books yet!! Keep up the amazing work girl! Can't wait to read your next book.

Wow! Haven is an undercover operative & has the world at her feet until the unthinkable happens. An op goes awry & she is shot, ending up in a wheelchair. Is she up to the battle back or will she give up?

Frisco was on an undercover op when he saw a female operative go down. When he reached her, she begged him to leave her to die. With his war experiences, there was no way he could do that. Can he help her realize there is still a lot to live for?

I loved this story. The characters were realistic & well developed. The descriptive narrative had me picturing them all in my mind. The scene where Frisco saved Haven & the ones in her hospital room were so emotional & were described perfectly. Haven had to follow her journey of self discovery to realize she deserved love & wasn't to blame for all the bad in her life. Frisco had his own journey with his PTSD to maneuver. Great story & I can't wait for Book 2.

As well as some of my favs from Samantha’s Trident series! Looking forward to reading what is next in her new series “Deimos”. Loved the way Samantha made the connection between her and Susan’s characters seamless! And to have 2 of my favorite authors in one book!! Priceless!!!

Samantha has done it again. I loved this crossover with Susan Stokers Special Forces.
The introduction of Deimos was exactly what I hoped it would be, especially as it’s made T. Carter who he is today.
The story of Haven was full of sadness, loss and determination. Then we have Frisco. A determined soldier, who refuses to give up.
I was so pleased to get a happy ending. Looking forward to the next Deimos/ Trident/ Omega Team already.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was skeptical at first because these two worlds are so different. But I was WRONG to be skeptical. I loved how the two sets of characters met for the first time on the one mission. I also loved seeing the two groups actually work on the missions rather than just know they had been on one. Ian was on point with his usual grumpiness and nick names. My absolute favorite part was Annie fleecing Carter. I love that kid. It was nice seeing Carter have to worm away from a female even if she is young.

I have loved Susan Stoker for a long time. Samantha is newer but still an absolute favorite. I refuse to decide my favorite because it is a 10 tie for first at this point. All depends on what I am in the mood for. But I am so happy these two worlds collided. Keep up the great work and Samantha you did an awesome job combining these worlds and people together. If you are not familiar these two ladies I highly recommend getting up to date. More awesomeness is coming from both.

Handling Haven is the first book in a new series by Samantha A Cole. I love everything this author writes and this book is no exception. It was so very easy for me to get caught up in this book and I didn’t put it down until the exciting end.

Haven was a member of Deimos, a group of US black-ops called in to assist on very dangerous missions. When something happens and she needs to be saved by Frisco, a member of the very elite Delta Force, her life is changed forever. When they meet again later, their connection is there but will Haven get over what has happened to her and move on and live life? I enjoyed her journey as she figures out if she can get over what has happened and learn to move on. I enjoyed the chemistry between Frisco and Haven. Add in Carter and some of my favorite Trident guys and I could not put this one down.

"Handling Haven", is yet again another phenominal read from Samantha Cole; already fan? The. Your going to love this story filled with. Characters you already love Diemos agents Carter and Jordyn; trident team members , Ian Sawyer, Babs and then the men of Delta force and among this wonderful mix our struggling couple Haven Caldwell, a sexy , smart Deimos agent and Lucas "Frisco" Ingram of Delta force.
These teams find themselves all working the same job on foreign soil and the mission is to bring down a terrorist seeking the detonation codes for a stolen nuclear warhead . The meet is to be at a dignitary wedding to which the Deimos agents go in disguised, but the last thing they are expecting is for bombs to be going off, mass hysteria and a shooter aiming at them.unfortunately while trying to get another agent to safety Haven takes a bullet. Frisco seeing her go down thinks nothing f his own safety and runs into the melee while Trident team leader Ian Sawyer calls Babs in with the helo.
When Frisco reaches Haven however she is telling him to leave her, having realized her legs are not working, but he can't , doing a quick carry hold he lifts her and gets her on the helo out of the danger zone and to a navy ship equipped to handle her injuries.. Once the team that went with Haven gets confirmation that she did well through surgery and Carter and Jordyn arrive Frisco and the rest to leave for stateside, which just does not sit right with Frisco .
Haven doe not do recovery well, she is giving up on trying to walk again around the same time as the buyer re-aapears on the dark web looking for those codes again, she may not be able to be feet on the ground this time but , she can coordinate the ground mission between The Deimos oprativie and The delta team backup and since Frisco is Pt'ing his own injury he gets teamed up with her as the go between for the two teams. Frisco is going to use this time together not only to get Haven to work harder but to prove to her that the instant connection the two had is real and worth exploring, and the fact that he does not care if she is in. Wheel chair.
Sweet romantic gestures and sexy times ensue, nights at Havens house on the coach move to nights spent in each other's arms and days planning the mission to finally get this terrorist.
handling Haven is a suspenseful, page flipping romance!

May I start by saying if you live a good sexy romance with lots of suspenseful spy/special ops action, Ms. Cole is one of the best. Her style and attention to details is superb and this is ever so present in Handling Haven.

Haven is one bad to the bone special ops agent. She lives, breathes and loves her job and she is one of the best. That is until that awful night she is shot in the back during a mission.

Frisco is also a special ops guy, only from another sector than Haven. When he see’s her on screen he is wowed. Not only by her beauty but her skills and dedication to protecting the asset. When he sees Haven fall to the ground, Frisco take off to get her out of harm's way. What happens when he gets to her will haunt both Haven and Frisco for months.

Do they get Haven to safety? Yes but at what cost to everyone involved. This storyline is both heartwarming and heart wrenching. The pain and dedication everyone goes through is nothing short of amazing. To Ms Cole I would like to say Kudos for an awesome book with wonderful characters (both new and old) that feel like family to me. To other readers I recommend all of Ms Cole’s books as the are all exceptional and Handling Haven is right up there as one of her best (IMHO).

Whenever you are combining anything in a book, particularly two worlds colliding, it has the potential to be catastrophic or utterly amazing. No fear here, Samantha blended these seamlessly. I’ve not read much Stoker, but now I want to so I can learn more about these characters.

There is plenty of pulse pounding action from all of our favorite alpha heroes and heroines. Amazing cameos from both worlds, and a very particular kick in the a*s CTJ speech from Jordyn that completely resonated with me. I can’t forget Carter getting manipulated by a cute little girl!!

What made this book one of my new top favorites, was the unique development of the connection between Lucas and Haven. An initial attraction, turned contentious by circumstances, then leads to devotion and love despite all the obstacles. This was probably the most emotional I have felt for Samantha’s characters. ALL THE FEELS!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

A heartwarming story with enough action and interaction to keep even the most fastidious reader enthralled from the very first page to the last written word. Haven had the world at her feet before the actions of an unknown assailant left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Can she overcome not only her psychological reactions but also the physical limitations to take whats on offer or will her anger leave her with nothing but bittersweet memories and an e\mptiness that is all too familiar? Once again Samantha A Cole writes a story that has been well researched and has both a heart and soul. This author has become an automatic buy for me and I highly recommend her books to anyone looking for action, suspense and romance all woven into an intriguing and unique story.

This story gets two thumbs up! I SO ENJOYED Haven & Frisco! The introduction of Deimos at the beginning was really neat. I struggled a bit w/ all the team introductions, but it's introducing teams from three different series, and was done very well. Loved the dynamic & banter between everyone, and the connection between Frisco & Haven. Haven is very real - her reactions to her situation, I completely understood where she was coming from. And Frisco... He understood, too. ; ) The action was intense & well written, and everything came together so well! And the end...!! Swoon! Definitely give this story a read. : )

Handling Haven

Samantha A Cole
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 boom stars

There is nothing Samantha Cole cannot do. She explodes every Book from the 1st page! No surprise Handling Haven was that and do much more. I was expecting a horrible accident and a drama filled recovery, but really start was I thinking..... Samantha doesn’t do stories like that hers are much more sexy Alphas, gorgeous bad ass women, blowing shit up, terrorists and plots to have your heart racing.

In the current world we live in with suicide bombers, guns, bombs and terrorists, the stories make, make believe so real. Sadly this is our world and Sam brings in some sexy men and women to bring the baddies down... Handling Haven has all the usual traits of Sam’s other stories, hellbent on bringing the bad boys down these operatives are tee one watching your six. Frisco and Haven are part of a team working to bring down a terror cell ready to destroy the world. Sadly these jobs can end in hurt and Haven, is hit with the worst injury anyone could endure. She always knew there were chances of being hurt she never thought that it would be her left paralysed.

Haven Caldwell has had issues her whole life and the last thing she needed is to be paralysed by the people she hellbent on stopping. Now in a hospital work nothing but pity for herself, her whole world is fallen apart before her own eyes. She was the ultimate field operative, working for the United States, scared of nothing and prepared for everything. Sadly this was not the case in India, the whole thing was a clusterf*&k. Now she will have to make the ultimate decision- live a life in a wheelchair in a sorry state of “poor me” or kick ass like she is known for. Although a difficult one, friends like Carter and Jordyn make it a lot more simple. Suck it up, get up prove everyone wrong.

As soon as Delta Force, Sargent First Class Lucas "Frisco" Ingram, saw the hit Haven took, he knew it was bad news. Something in him felt different, he wanted to be there for her, help her... With ab option to see her, he jumped at the opportunity, only to be yelled at by a clearly pissed off woman, devastated and shocked he walks away from her. 6 months after the accident while attending a PT session for his injured shoulder, he once again sets eye in the woman who has haunted his dreams every night. The connection is electric, and Haven may have apologized for her hospital outburst, but she has some serious issues in her head. Frisco will break her walls down, to open up to the man who saved her life once and we'll do anything in his power to save her a 2nd time.

Handling Haven will take you on a journey of high stakes warfare, absolute devastation, overcoming hurdles that would challenge any lay person, let alone an up and coming operative, Haven will face head on her biggest fears, both in healing and in love. While Frisco overcomes his own issues to win the woman’s heart who stole it from 1st sight.

This story is a cannot put down job, call in sick, unplug your phone, feed your kids then sit down for a wild ride..

Handling Heaven was a very great story, I love how emotional it was...

Haven, is a covert operative for the US. She was traveling all around the world with her team mates, working on so many classify cases that no one could ever guess or imagine about her life, not to mention Haven was not her real name or identity anymore.. until one of her missions went wrong and something debastating happenes, that changes the course of her life and world...

Frisko, a Delta force member that works for the US who happened to be in the same mission, where the life of Haven changed forever.. she begged him to leave her, she begged him to not help her at all because the only thing she felt and saw was her life was completely lost..

There were so many great moments on the book, but what i love about it was, that it wasn't all fire and bombs .. there is love, pain and struggle. We can see Haven is having a hard time recovering for what happened to her, you can feel her struggles, her desperation to be herself again. how she misses her old job and to be on the field chasing all the bad guys, how she misses flirting and having a man in her life..

The love story between Frisco and Haven is beautiful and i think very special.. Samantha take us on their love journey, easily and slowly, giving us time to feel their love and see their struggles..
From the moment they met, until they felt in love but also, we can feel how hard was for Frisko to help and make Haven feel his love, in a way that she would stop feeling sorry for herself and also thinking people were pitying her.. the whole story has a great flow and the love between Frisko and Haven its a beautiful journey..

One of my favorite quotes was, when Frisko is talking to Gunny,

"You tell them, I did it, Gunny. I did it for you, them, and every veteran who's ever defended our flag"

Another favorite moment, when kick a..s Jordyn, talks to Haven or better say when she spoke some truth to her senses...

And the Bonus points of the story are? If you are a fan of The Trident Security Series, like the handsome and sexy Mr. T Carter, You can see him and many more of the hot characters of TSS showing up in Handling Haven .. we also get to see new characters, some of them you'll love some of them you are going to hate .. and some of them are going to make you laugh..

last but not least, you are going to die with Ian and his nicknames lol they're the best...

Haven Caldwell is 34 years old and a secret operative with Deimos. She is working undercover with Kenny "Preston" Reardon when an explosion occurs and she knows she must make sure Kenny is able to escape - no matter the cost. And for Haven the cost is high.

Lucas "Frisco" Ingram is the man who saved Haven when she did not want to be saved. Now as he watches her wallow in self-pity for surviving he tries to help but is shut out.

When Frisco and Haven are assigned to the same mission working together will Haven find a way to forgive Frisco for saving her? Can Haven realize that she is still worth loving and the same person she was before?

This was a great book about overcoming our self obstacles and realizing our self worth is still the same.

I can't imagine what Haven went through after realizing how much her life changed in an instant. Anyone would have a hard time but being an operative or in any job like that would cause a person such mental anguish feeling like you are no longer valuable and of any use. She had to overcome her own mental blocks before being able to be move on and heal herself.

Frisco had his own ghosts to overcome with his past being involved in the war overseas and losing those closest to him. There was no way he was going to leave Haven to die when he could save her. He was a great character and I loved how patient he was with Haven and was able to gradually gain her trust.

I loved that this book involved so many of our favorite characters from Trident and how each truly played a role in the story and the big events in the book.

I loved the link between the past and present for Haven and how she was able to put everything together! The end was awesome and I am so excited for another series by this author!

Synergy
The interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects.
Cooperative interaction among groups, especially among the acquired subsidiaries or merged parts of a corporation, that creates an enhanced combined effect.
An instance of either such interaction.
Why am I starting my review with a dictionary explanation for the word synergy? Because Samantha A. Cole is an amazing writer who writes some of the most kick butt military romance there is, add Susan Stoker’s Delta Force series to her already amazeballs cast of characters, and you have an explosion of literary magic!

Handling Haven explores what happens when a soldier/agent is injured and what they deal with afterwards. Haven is part of the Black Ops team Deimos, government operatives hand-picked for their skills and intelligence, they hunt and terminate those hell bent on destruction and the American way of life. They are also “dead” and have new identities. Carter is also a Deimos agent.

Lucas “Frisco” Ingram is a member of Delta Force, and working a wedding of Bollywood royalty. Ghost and Hollywood’s team is there along with Sawyer’s team from Trident. Haven is with another Deimos agent undercover. A man known as “Mr Smith” is there looking to buy nuclear launch codes. But things go FUBAR, and Frisco has to rescue Haven, who wants to be left to die.

The rest of the story is an emotional and suspenseful read that had me glued to my e-reader. Samantha Cole has outdone herself with this crossover into Ms. Stoker’s Delta Force series, and has turned out a fantastic read that no one should miss!

A crossover of Deimos, Trident Security and Delta Force Team=amazing!

I can't say that this is could be a stand alone as I have read all the books in the Trident Security and Delta Force series and was pretty excited to reconnect with them in this book. All that Alpha in one book is almost too much to handle!

Haven Caldwell, operative of Deimos, is injured on assignment. Lucas (Frisco) Ingram, Delta Force member protects Haven after she's down and gets her to safety. Haven asked him to do that unthinkable. He's now living with guilt thinking he made her injury worse. Haven is now in a wheelchair and presently is not in a good space. She's very angry and shutting everyone out. After some 'tough love' from Jordyn Haven starts to fight to regain her life.

Frisco has felt a connection to Haven from their first moment and would like to have a relationship beyond work. Haven has to believe in herself before they can get there. She sees herself as someone pitied. She doesn't see herself a desirable woman.

With these teams working together there is lots of action and intrigue. Personally, I don't think you could want much more in a book than what is in this one.

I love that we got to reconnect with all the characters and their lives.

What I really love about Samantha A Cole is that she has a way of writing that pulls you into the story that keeps you invested into the very end. This is a story you will not be putting down.

I have a rule, if it's written by Samantha I am reading it!

What would you do if your life as you knew it ended in a moment? That you might never be the same? That you might never do what you love again?

That’s what Haven Caldwell is dealing with right now. She’s angry, feeling a bit hopeless and wondering just what in the hell her future is going to look like. How can she ever be the badass Deimos operative she was before?

Two words—she can’t, but it doesn’t mean what she can do isn’t just as badass as what she was doing before. That she’s just as amazing working through her injuries and in a wheelchair as she was when she was walking on two legs.

This is where Lucas “Frisco” Ingram comes in . . . as a Delta Force member, he’s badass all on his own, but he too, fights the demons that haunt him from the first night he met Haven—and saved her life.

Holy moly, I adored this story. Adored the relationship between Frisco and Haven. Loved watching these two stubborn, smart, sexy, deadly characters fall in love and attempt to save the world. Some seriously swoon worthy moments. Once I started Handling Haven I refused to put it down until I read the very last word. I loved Frisco and Haven and I can’t wait to see what other pairing Ms. Cole has in store for the next Special Forces: Operation Alpha release! ~ Missy, 5 stars

As always Samantha A Cole delivers a book full of interest, suspense, love and emotion. Haven is hurt during a mission which is always a sad thing for a main character in a story, but this story shows not only the downside of early recovery but the strength and determination of not only Haven but her friends and colleagues not to let her give up but to fight back. I love the strong women that show in these books, they do not give up, yes they may have weak moments and times of despair but sooner or later they find their core strength and fight back. The teams from Susan Stoker's Delta work along with Trident and Diemos to solve the threat and keep everyone safe, these crossover stories give you even more hotness and excitement as well as intrigue. I for one am always happy to get more of my fav characters so to get two or three for one is an added bonus. Incorporating characters from another authors books isn't an easy thing to do, to keep them as close to original as well as details I don't envy any author doing that but having read about all of these I am happy and thrilled with how well this worked out for both authors. Fantastic read and well done with the realism and accuracy Samantha.

Holy smokes what a fantastic book

Having never read Samantha A. Cole before I have to say I really hope she writes more about Deimos Security because Haven's story was completely a wonderful story.

Haven Caldwell works for Deimos Agency as one of their best agents but while in Mumbai, India a bomb explodes. Just when I think Samantha Cole can't do any better with her writing, she goes and writes this book. Haven suffers the unthinkable when a mission goes wrong and wants nothing more than to be left there to die. Frisco watches her getting wounded and rushes to save her only to hear her tell him to leave her there. He's been drawn to her as soon as he saw her and doesn't listen to her. Carrying her to the chopper, the gang leaves the screwed up mission. Months later, he is asked to go see her. What happens next is so emotional and gut wrenching that I actually had to get out of bed and go sit in the living room so I wouldn't wake up my husband who was sleeping. The pain and heart wrenching emotions coming from Haven made me cry.....a lot!! I loved the fact that Frisco doesn't give up. And getting to see some of my favorite Trident Security guys was awesome. This story will make you mad, make you cry and then flip around and give you hope! I HIGHLY recommend this book to add to your collection. It is one I will read over and over.

This was a full to the brim story, which created a great tension between Frisco and Haven.

Haven and Frisco are working for Deimos and Delta respectively. They find themselves working on the same operation, cos as usual the alphabet agencies don't coordinate! Haven is injured whilst protecting her tech geek/friend and Frisco makes sure she gets out of the action.

Fast forward a few weeks and Haven is not dealing with her injury the way this kickass, take no prisoners agent should be. She is becoming mean to everyone and she even manages to make Frisco not want to be around her with her attitude.

Fast forward a nother few months and Friso and Haven are forced to work an op together and finally Haven opens up and lets Frisco and his endearing and stubborn flirting in!

I loved the slow build up between these two. This was a kinda instalust on behalf of Frisco which seemed to seep into his bones and which Haven did her best to ignore. I can't wait to read more in this world as the writing was superb. The banter was witty and smacks of proper team camaraderie and the passion is HAWT!

What a great way to start a new series. The first couple of chapters are full of suspense and action we have come to know from Samantha A Cole's books.

We meet Haven, an undercover operative for Deimos and Frisco, a member of the Delta Force Team.

When both are on the same mission (unbeknownst to each other) little did they know when it started, that they would be thrown together and what a life changing mission it would be.

When Haven is left wheelchair bound she struggles with this knowledge and wants to shut herself out to everyone. Frisco is struggling to come to terms with his part in this. should he have moved Haven, but leaving her to die was not an option. He would do the same thing again. Can harsh words and another mission be the thing they need to bring them back together?

Ian, Carter, Jordyn and a couple of the Trident Team make an appearance in the book.

I am looking forward to reading more in this series if this book is anything to go by.

OMG!!! I absolutely loved this story!!! I was compleately pulled in from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down until I had finished!!! (I was up until gone 4am!)
This is Frisco and Haven's story...
When a mission goes wrong and an injury changes Haven's life forever... can Frisco prove that his attraction to her is genuine... when she is convinced that he is just feeling pity!!!
Without giving away spoilers... I will just recommend for you all not to miss out on this book!!!
Packed full of twists and turns... that will have you white knuckled and on the edge of your seat... nail biting moments where you want to scream at the characters in frustration... and in true Ms Cole fashion... scenes that will steal your breath and leave you panting... in all the best ways possible... of course!!!

Haven is seriously hurt during a mission. The book is mostly about Haven's recovery and how she finds love and the will to live again. But 'Handling Haven' is also about so much more.

It is a story that touched me very deeply. While reading, there were scenes that made me cry and sometimes I wanted to kick someone's butt. I also cheered when Jordyn told Haven a few truths. And then there is this sweet love story of Frisco and Haven. Both are damaged by the past but somehow manage to help each other, sometimes without even realizing it. I can't even describe how much I love this book.

All in all I feel the book is the perfect mix of suspense, hot military men, loyal friends and strong friendships and, of course, love. This is a must read!

Handling Haven Rocks!!!

Handling Haven is an emotional rollercoaster ride full of terrorists, alpha military heroes, retribution, Love and loyalty and one if the best HEA endings ever. Samantha Cole can wring every ounce of emotion out of her readers and have them begging for more. From beginning to end Frisco and Haven are both kick ass, lovable characters and you want them to get together and be happy. I like that their love story evolved slowly and built to a crescendo the made me smile. Every step of the way Frisco knew what he wanted and he went for it. The blend of Susan Stoker's Delta Force characters and Trident Security members and all the other alphabet agencies was perfection. You can never go wrong with a Samantha Cole book and this one is utter perfection.

I received the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I’m Samantha’s super fan and she never disappoints! Handling Haven is another great masterpiece! I would have read it all in one day yesterday but because we were replacing our carpet with wood flooring I had to help my mom completely clean out our place which made me have to read this in two days. Nonetheless, it was another amazing read! Haven is another one of my favorite characters among her books. I swear Samantha gets better and better. The way Haven develops in the story is quite remarkable. From beginning to end, I was captivated. I honestly can’t wait for more!
