Rate this book

Love is hard when there are three hearts involved — and for Alex, Neal, and Desmond, it's about to get even harder.
When the trio finds out omega Neal is pregnant with alpha Alex's child, Desmond can't help feeling like a third wheel. Meanwhile, Neal's changing hormones are making him anxious about the changes ahead.
As tensions rise among the three lovers, old grievances and new resentments threaten to eclipse the joy of their growing family.
Will their happy home fall apart at the seams, or can Desmond serve as the thread that holds it all together?

I feel like this book is supposed to be in the middle of a series not the first. Immediately, we are hit by a tsunami of information with zero context what so ever, and just as I started to piece some of the loose pieces together, another wave is thrown at me. The chapters also seemed to take pleasure in jumping ahead of time with no warning, skipping plot points then half-hearty retold it to us in broken pieces.

I hate writing this review.
This book just didn't make any sense to me. It jumped all over the place and didn't explain much. There are other children but who do they belong to? What do these guys do that one is always gone? Neal sounded like a twelve year old most of the time. I really like this author but this book didn't do it for me.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster. Three very different men in a relationship, all three from different backgrounds. Alex is now going to be a father, a night with Neil and they find out Neil is pregnant. Desmond seems to be the most level headed, Alex seems a bit self serving and Neil is an emotional up and down kind of guy. But it works and they love each other. The book takes you on a journey through the pregnancy of Neil and the life changes they make and the compromises each have to make so they stay together and raise their children. I loved that it takes you beyond the birth, to how much the men have changed for each other and their children.

I wanted to like this series but this book was so hard to read due to a lack of character development.

The author appears to have suffered from verbal diarrhea; there were lots of words but little useful content. Some things were hinted at, but there was never any explanation of how the characters got to where they were.

The characters are completely forgettable, and just didn't appear very realistic.

A beautiful and poignant read that makes you smile, shake your head, and fan yourself vigorously! Loved how Ms. Bourgeois is able to describe Neal's mood swings and Desmond's fear of being the odd man out...all of it rings so true! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
