Frank E. Peretti is an American author whose work transformed the landscape of contemporary Christian fiction by introducing suspense, supernatural conflict, and spiritual warfare into mainstream religious storytelling. Widely regarded as a pioneer of the Christian thriller genre, he achieved international recognition with the bestselling novels This Present Darkness (1986) and Piercing the Darkness (1989), books that captivated millions of readers and helped redefine the possibilities of faith-based fiction.
