Memoirs of a Houseboy

Snakes and Ratters And Other Bits

Rate this book
Another serving of houseboy witterings from Gillibran Brown. Snakes and Ratters is a tasty new tale sandwiched between two other light bites about life with Dick and Shane.

These stories really are the sweetest ones we've gotten from Gilli so far! Even Shane is sweet (in his own Shane like way). Of course I was chuckling along to Gillis antics yet again! Boy that boy makes me laugh!!!

Another fine addition to the memoirs. <3 I've read this whole series several times through and can't express properly how much I adore it.

A silly gillisnack: A short set of visits with my favorite houseboy and his unusual household

Three short tales of a silly careless houseboy and his two doms. As in all the Gilli tales, it's about Gilli's unique point of view in his unusual household. He's forgetful, loving, goofy, anxious, jealous, and little bit sneaky, our Gilli. I am quite fond of him and was so happy to have a short visit.
Sufficiently edited.
All of the Gilli books are from his first person point of view and often they are written in a long somewhat piecemeal style that tends to be typical of online series where we ride-along with the character from event to event. Gilli does bits in the style of a diary, then short stories to detail certain events.
These particular stories, in Snake and Ratters, are fast paced, and mostly show silly Gilli, but that's just one facet. These stories might be a good introduction to Gilli, but to fully enjoy, I think you should read through the series, starting with Fun with Dick and Shane. Gilli is such a mixed character, a philosopher, a self-centered brat, a loving soul, prickly and cuddly, and sometimes anxious and filled with pathos. I recommend you give the series a try.

Involves discipline relationship, power exchange and aspects of bdsm. Corporal punishment is used to enforce household rules and guide behavior. In Snakes and Ratters stories, mm sexual scenes are not detailed and faded to black. In the broader series, mm sexual scenes are more detailed.

Possible trigger
Snakes and Ratters involves limited examples of discipline (a few spanks). Since I recommend the whole series, I want to mention that the longer series involves more incidents of a naughty Gilli, variations of corporal punishment, and submissive/dominant sexual interaction, bondage. If corporal punishment is a trigger for you, reading about a discipline lifestyle will probably not appeal.

Enough said that I was up at 2 am just to finish this book. There are 3 short stories which are Gilli to a t but it was the April Fool's Prank which had me laughing out loud.
If you love Gilli you will love his latest book.
Highly recommended.

Three short vignettes that if you follow Gilli's blog you might have already read: 'The Cactus Incident' and 'The Curious Incident of the Cat on The Duvet' but 'Snakes and Ratters' Gilli's well-executed April's Fools Joke is new.

Always with Gilli's sense of humor and unique perspective on life with his Daddies.

I loved the comedy in this. Being a prankster at times, I could really appreciate the April Fool's joke.

Absolutely one of my favorite series ever, ever, ever!!! Revelations (book #6) finally released in December 2021 but covers the years 2009/2010 and was just as fun, witty and entertaining as ever. I thoroughly enjoyed re-reading every book, short and diary entry in chronological order (the diary entries are available on the website by year and go through this current year).

Gillibran Brown has me literally laughing out loud (which is always fun to explain to the family). It's light domestic BDSM, menage, sexy, fun - yes!

www.gillibran-brown.com/diary website - well worth visiting!!
