Lutheranism ROCKS! If you already know that, the book is a super fun explanation of what's wrong what our secular culture. If you do not know that lutheranism rocks, well you might still give it a try, right? it's just a book. And If you're unsure. If you were raised lutheran; and now are not sure if you still are or need be. Read the book! The lutheran world view you were raised with so so different from the cultures. A great reminder of who you are, a stranger in a alien land, for "heaven is my home!"

Authentic Christianity is a must read for anyone who wants to understand Western Civilization better. Also, if you claim to be a Christian it is a must read as well. Having grown up in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod & switching to the Association of Free Lutheran Churches as an adult, Authentic Christianity explained Lutheran theology in a way that I wish the pastor’s had done for me in my youth & my current pastor’s would do now. Especially in regards to vocation, and the hidden presence of God.

If you are a Lutheran, read this book. If you are curious about what Lutheran's teach and believe; read this book. If you consider yourself spiritual and are looking for the depth of that spirituality; read this book.

This is not a book in defense of Lutheranism, nor is it a book in defense of religion. It is just a well written, well thought out and easily readable book about faith in God.
