I picked the audio book hoping for cheesy, beach read for my weekend. Usually the Bennet series contain that. But in this book, it contains anxiety. Due to Caroline.

She is the most anxious annoying person. She is not likeable and i want to strangle her most of the time. I think she has hormon unbalance or something. It makes her super anxious aver every little things.

I do not understand why Daniel keeps up with her. The story is short and cheesy. Not much plot or drama there. Everything is resolve very quickly.

Book 8 is a second chance romance focusing on Daniel Bennett and the women he broke up with 10 years ago - Caroline Dunne. The flashback to when they were first together in all honesty I could have done with out, the breakup scene didn't have me loving Daniel or feeling the revival of their relationship.

I have to say I enjoyed the ending of the book - it was sweet. I was also glad the author didn't position Caroline as being

The books in this series do appear to be very similar when it comes to the tone being used, and overarching traits and interactions between the main characters, so spacing out each book is a good idea - although I'm happy with the idea of not reading any more.

Favorite Quotes:

To her defense, she does have chronic bad luck in the dating department. But maybe her expectation that all men are assholes actually attracts assholes.

I have three sisters. Sugar’s the answer to everything.

I’m sorry about how I handled things on the phone. I was scared and the stupid came out.

I’m sure the right one’s out there somewhere. He just needs a map to find me. Or a compass. Better yet, a GPS. Mine’s definitely not working. Keeps sending me into dead ends.

My Review:

Oh those swoon-worthy Bennett men, all sweet-talking, rich, successful, handsome, thoughtful, romantic, sex-gods, this is how you know you are reading fantasy as these men are as common in real life as a bus driving unicorn. But Ms. Hagen does make them delightful reading with her clever and amusing humor, playful banter, and endearing characters. And those scorching hot sex scenes… an absolute bonus. I enjoyed this sweet and steamy second chance romance from start to finish.

~ 5 Second Time Around Stars ~

Every time I pick up a Bennett book it’s like coming home. I absolutely love this family and the ones that fall for them.

Your One True Love is the 8th Bennett book in the Bennett Family Series by Layla Hagen. Although each of these books are standalone novels and focus on a new couple, we do see other characters and couples from the previous books. So I would recommend reading this series in order. This story is told in Dual POV and is a complete story with NO cliffhanger. I loved the flow and pace of this story. Everything worked well and nothing was missing. This is a second chance romance and I loved every word of it.

In this book we follow Daniel and Caroline’s story. Daniel is Blake’s twin brother and owns his own outdoor adventure company. Caroline is a past love of his who is an elementary school teacher. Caroline and Daniel met back in college and started as friends and eventually turned into lovers. When college is over they were faced with different wants and needs. Forcing them to separate. Fast forward 10 years and they are now back in the same city and because Caroline is also friends with the Bennett women, they see each other a lot. Daniel is convinced he made a mistake all those years ago letting Caroline go. Caroline is nervous about getting back together with Daniel because he broke her heart all those years ago. Will Daniel and Caroline be able to start over again? Can they find their HEA?? What happens when secrets are revealed and real life interferes with their happy bubble?? Read this story to find out what happens with these two.

This story had a little bit of everything. There was humor, romance, sexy times, drama, and even some suspense. Just enough of everything to keep the readers interested. I know whenever I read about the Bennett’s I can’t help but get sucked into their family life. I look forward to reading Summer’s story.

As always it is great reconnecting with the whole Bennett family and seeing where Layla has taken each couple. I also enjoyed meeting Caroline’s family. Her dad and brother Niall.

If you are looking for that great family series that sucks you in and makes you feel like you are a part of the family….read this series. You won’t be sorry.

Der ist mir in jedem Band einfach too much.

Was passiert in diesem Buch?

Was Daniel angeht, so bin ich diesem Mann absolut verfallen.

Minor spoilers alert!!!
Writing style: Dual POVs

Determination is a Bennett trait, so it was no surprise to me that Daniel didn’t let any of Caroline’s hesitation about rekindling their college relationship shake his faith in their potential to go the distance this time around. And of course, they also had Daniel’s matchmaking sisters doing their best to engineer reasons for them to spend time together. Resistance finally proved entirely futile. 😉

The beauty of second chance romances to me is a shorter wait time for the sexy times. I wholeheartedly approved of this decision in their particular situation. They had both stayed in touch with the other’s family which only served to highlight how they couldn’t really kick their need to be connected in some way during their “ex” stage. Caroline suffered two very devastating losses during their time apart, while Daniel realized more and more how he’d made a huge mistake walking away from their young college love. The universe owed Caroline and Daniel a second chance to discover an even more passionate and intense love. I was quite surprised at the business betrayal Daniel had to deal with and glad when Caroline’s investment in her dad’s renovation of his bookstore proved to be worthwhile. And the wisdom Daniel’s mom and Caroline’s dad shared with them was really touching and inspirational.

Top favorite words of wisdom scene:
“Every couple has their challenges. Everyone has problems. That’s life. One challenge after the next. And the best thing by far is to have someone you can love and trust by your side to take on those challenges.”~Caroline’s Dad

Coming up next in this contemporary family series is Summer’s fall into love, book#9.

Finally the book of Daniel Bennett, last brother in line. I read/listen about he and Caroline Dunne for ages. And here it is their conclusion. And perfect love. How they finally found each other. Ten years ago, they were a couple in college, but they stayed in touch with each family, but somehow avoided each other. All the Bennets want them to be back together and finally an approach works and they found the love for the second time. But as every story there are obstacles and the have to fight.

" The new Bennett story is ready to warm hearts and make bodies melt again. Get ready!!!"

" I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."

Family! A blissful achievement between two people who are deeply in love. So, what is the main purpose of starting your own family? Is there any factor that says which way to build strong foundations so nothing can affect the structure?
For me, the main reason to start a family is because you feel ready to give yourself fully, to the one, who won your heart and soul complitely. Although, often lust can be confused as love, time will reveal the real feelings the newborn relationship has before the next step. In my opinion, the secret recipe is to let your walls down. To open up and give the other the opportunity to do the same. To communicate and try to put yourself into the others shoe so you can understand them; to give space or your support. The negativity isn't welcome into a family's walls. However, from my experience, to succeed to have a loving, stable and healthy family must both sides do all the above just the same. If not, then everything will go cramble eventually.

Your one True Love is one sweet-beautiful-heartwarming story. It manifests the luck of someone who finds the one true love, twice. A love that despite all the terrible circumstances and the many obstacles, it is very strong to survive. Although, the love Caroline and Daniel share isn't unique, isn't common either. In spite of the fact that, their story flows into a sweet-loving mode relentlessly it didn't felt exaggerated at all. Any part of the story has an important topic to present. Personal difficulties, family issues, work troubles; The author captures them with dignity and maturity, showing the rights and wrongs of each situation but always giving the best results in the end. Like what true love can give!!

Caroline Dunne is still single and she imagines herself to stay like that. Working as a teacher for little kids and helping her father at his bookstore, she is happy and content with what life giving her. What she's missing, however, is to feel love and be loved again from someone. Caroline knows very well who is the perfect-one for her but also knows that this dream is never going to happen. So, when a phonecall turns to dinner with Daniel, all her expectations came back full force compined with her insecurities. Caroline is an intelligent, down to earth woman. She knows where she stands and how far goes her limits. However, she let herself give in to Daniel's steamy seduction, devouring every passionate moment with him while they last. Family, means everything to Caroline and she understands how priceless is for Daniel too. Revealing the truth to him was a necessity but what was meant to happen in the end was anything she could ever imagine..

Daniel Bennett is the last of his brothers who don't have a mate. For years he was dedicated to the plan of building his own business, the Golden Escapes Adventure Center (the name says it all). He became a powerful, well known businessman just like his siblings but he felt half. He could have any woman by his side but Daniel wanted this first woman who had stolen his heart and mind, for over a decade. Regretting for ending his relationship with Caroline back in college he plans to ask for a second chance. His confess was the beginning of their journey, his adoration was their fuel, his commitment was their glue, his undying love was their eternity.

I truly enjoyed reading Yours One True Love. This second chance story made my heart skip a bit or two with its emotional scenes. The always there dose of humor was a welcome distraction every needed time, lighting the mood. I liked and appreciated that the plot isn't missing out any key points or situations from the storyline. It felt easy to relate with the heroes while reading each point of view. Also, I found the story perfectly paced for my tastes; majorly sweet that overcomes my tastes; full consuming that I'm always keen to be by a story...fully consumed! I confess that this is the first book I read by the author. I'm delighted meeting the Bennett family this way and I promise to meet each one of them separately soon. It's clear that the Bennett family series promises enough heat to melt any inner goddess out there for good...

I hope I intrigue your imagination and made you grab the book yourselves and find out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.

Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.

I have to admit, this isn't my favorite of the Bennett books. Although you can see by the almost four-star rating that I think it's great... so that's saying something.

Let me get my issues out of the way up front... and they're not deal-breakers by any means.

There were a few trope-y plot-points in this story. Reunited lovers, Matchmakers (ongoing theme in this series), "I just want you to be happy," Misunderstandings, and of course, the Grand Romantic Gesture - just to name a few. I don't mind this at all, except that a couple of them were just a teeeensy bit contrived. UGH! I hate saying that because I really did like this book!

Here's the deal though, there were some misunderstandings that shouldn't have been issues - at all , and I was really hoping for more tension in the story for all of the elements we were getting. The characters were likeable, and the story was good - I just expected a little bit more.

Let's talk about those characters.

Daniel knew his time under the matchmaking spotlight was coming, but he was kinda looking forward to it. His family, including his meddling sister Pippa, who just happens to be BFFs with his ex, Caroline - know he's never really gotten over her, so he's okay with seeing if they can mend the relationship he let go of several years earlier.

What could go wrong when you let your family get in the middle of your love-life instead of taking care of things on your own anyway, right? **eyeroll**

She sighs against my mouth, and it’s as if my brain short-circuits, leaving only one thought to stand out:
I want this woman.
I need her.

Caroline had her heart broken by Daniel Bennett when he let her go, but she was never out of his life. She was already a part of the "extended" Bennett family, and that meant running into Daniel every now and then. She was proud of the fact that things had never been contentious, and it made things very easy when she spotted him at their family functions.

What Caroline didn't tell anyone is that she didn't really want to be Daniel's friend. She missed him terribly, and still loved him. Every man she dated was compared unfavorably to him, and every sadness she suffered without him made her incredibly lonely and isolated.

“What do you feel when you’re with me, Caroline?”
“I feel that I belong in your arms.”
He exhales, and for a brief second, I wonder if he really thought I feel anything less.

Their love story should be epic, and I would've adored it if it were. As it is, it's lovely, but not quite as good as the books that came before this in the series.

I give Your One True Love 3.5 "fairy-dust" expeditions.

We are slowly but surely working our way thru all the Bennett Family kids. Oh My Goodness what will we do when we run out of Bennetts to read about? I sure hope that our author has more cousins and friends on the horizon for us to fall in love with because I know I for one am not ready to call it quit with this family that I have grow to love as they have married and expanded with each book that has come out. And I was really lucky to be able to read an advanced copy of this book. It did not influence my opinion on my review at all.
In Book 8 we get the next to the last sibling's story. I somehow knew that Caroline and Daniel's story was going to be one of my favorites for so many reasons. So many reasons that I can no share in my review either. LOL Storyline reasons. BUT I will say reasons that are so wonderful. This is a second chance story that all the Bennett family has been saying Hail Mary's and praying would come to pass. No only that the sisters and wives have been helping Cupid along and giving him a shove now and then, LOL. I mean what good are big families if they don't butt in right?
I love how our author uses the ten years these two have been apart and the things they have both been through to shape their lives and instead of separating them it builds their characters and draws the together. I can't wait to see where our author takes us with Summer Bennett and hope that this is not the last we see of this amazing family.

I'm happily addicted to the Bennett family. This is the longest series of stand-alones I've ever read, and I don't want it to end... ever!

Every single romance in this series is unique and beautiful. This one is NO exception. Actually, I've never been too fond of second chance stories because they start off as a bit of a sad memory, but from time to time I let myself be sucked into that vortex. Caroline and Daniel's romance is fully believable, incredibly hot and masterfully delivered.

They are fated. Family is paramount to them, so his big family and her touching situation with her own make for a significant support to their passionate relationship. I loved the circumstances of their revolving around each other ever more closely, that her father owns a bookstore, and that each has problems and insecurities that only end up strengthening their bond. There's also a valuable lesson about challenges in there.

I laughed with the anecdotes surrounded certain bath bombs. And I swooned at the very romantic feelings and words they share up until the wholeheartedly satisfying ending. True love shines between these two. Their intensely hot lovemaking is paired with a moving emotional connection. Perfect style and sense of romance.

Friendship brought them together. Youth tore them apart. Can distance and time allow them a second chance to get it right? Daniel and Caroline were the definition of young love. Immature, head over heels and heading toward heartache. The first heartbreak was a memory that stuck. Years later and a tad wiser, fate brings them back together, but will the pain of the past and the secrets of the present be the death nail for their happily ever after? There's a sadness to this romance, more than any of the others. An unbearable underlying pain that is constantly dogging Caroline and Daniel as they struggle to begin a new chapter of their lives. Your One True Love is the beginning of a dream interrupted and a hope fulfilled. Hope, healing and new beginnings converge on an emotional roller coaster ride.

I received an ARC for an honest review

Daniel and Caroline were past lovers reunited thanks to the extra push from the Bennett sisters. They've still felt something for each other over the years as their lives went in separate directions but now that they're back together, they can't help but worry for their future. With Caroline's big secret, their relationship could end before it really begins.

Another Bennett falls in love. This was another great romance by Layla with many sweet moments and enough issues that could create chaos and change the course of their relationship. I think Daniel was definitely the man for all men to look to in order of how to treat a woman. And Caroline was supportive and caring when he needed it most. I can't wait for more from this author.

I gave this book 4.5 stars!!

This is the first book in this series I have read and I have to say that I have fell in love with the Bennett family. I will be going back and reading the others in this series now that I have finished this one. I found myself not being able to put down this book. It is a good second chance love story with all the feels to it.

Daniel and Caroline had a love that was young, fun but didn't last because both wanted to chase their dreams...fast forward 10 years and they run back into each other, which isn't hard when you have family plotting against you. This time Daniel isn't backing down and wants to make Caroline HIS again!!!

Love each of the stories can be read as a standalone but you still get the feels in each book of how they are doing. Can't wait to read more from this author and this series.

I really enjoy this series and this book was no different.

Daniel and Caroline are ex lovers who broke up when they left for college, but both always thought it was the one that got away. Enter the meddling, matchmaking sisters of Daniel and he and Caroline are once again thrown together.

Daniel tell Caroline that he has feeling for her and reservedly Caroline does the same. The Bennett name is high profile and in enters the paparazzi, who cause a glitch in their life, but they try to work around it.

A feel good book with tons of sass and affection.

I received this book as an arc from the Author.
This book is a second chance love story and that along with the fact that it is a Bennett family book is all I needed to know. I've read the entire Bennett series by Layla Hagen and I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves romance, friends and family. The characters are believable and easy to like and the stories are well developed.

"Five Second Chance Romance Stars"

Gah... I devoured this book.  SERIOUSLY what will I do once every Bennett has their story? Are there support groups?  In all seriousness -- Daniel and Caroline's love is so sweet, I swooned more than Caroline!

Daniel & Caroline have a past that neither one of them completely walked away from.  Daniel kept in touch with Caroline's Dad and assisted him with his business/planning.  She remained friends with mama Bennett & all the sisters (and it's also safe to say the Bennett brothers were protective of her as well)  The one outlier to the story was Caroline's brother Niall, still not sure what to make of him, but perhaps we will get more on him later!

To appease baby sister Summer, the two connect over friendly meals, and exchanging of borrowed items etc.  Caroline winds up using Daniel's company for a class field trip, and from there the chemistry explodes.  As the two begin to reconnect, Caroline also has a secret, and she needs to determine the right timing to let Daniel know.  Will that change how he feels about her?  In the end will her "Dan" still love her as he always has, or are their lives going in different directions?

Whether you've come this far in the Bennett family series, or Daniel is your first, you definitely want to read "Your One True Love" ASAP!

loved this. Daniel and Caroline had a love that was young, fun ad both thought it was the one but life happens and you chase your dreams or what seems to be your dreams, 10 years later they run back into each other which isn't hard when your family is plotting for you, but now Daniel is not letting her go. He's never really moved on and that's cause he still loves her, can he convince her that there are meant to be , that their love deserves a second chance.

I feel like I know the Bennett Family so well, and I love them all... even Summer!
Your One True Love is the story of Daniel and Caroline.

Daniel and Caroline were once deeply in love and committed to each other but this was many moons ago. After her mother's death , Caroline rekindle with the Bennett's clan that she considers as her second family.

For Daniel, Caroline is the one who got away. He is tired of being friends with her and of their flirting- he wants more... he wants her back. He is going to do everything he can to win her back and he knows that he has the support of the whole family.

" I gave him my heart without any reservation. We were so good together. Right until we weren't. "
Things are different for Caroline. Her brother has not got one positive word to say about Daniel, he wants him out of his sister's life.
Caroline realises progressively that Daniel has never left her life- he has been visiting her dad and helping him to reopen his bookstore.
" The man is a walking temptation"

They are attracted to each to other and were made for each other. the way they care about one another is so sweet and endearing but Caroline does not want to give in because she has a secret ...

I have one cardinal rule: once I get my heart broken, I don't go back for more. Plus I've gathered a lot of baggage over the years..."

Can Daniel win her back? Will Caroline get her HEA?
I loved how the story developed and I did not want to put it down! The characters and their interactions were unique, witty and funny. Caroline and Dan were fantastic together.

Another great read from Layla Hagen. This series is so addictive. If you're looking for a book that will keep a smile on your face and leave you with a happy feeling in your heart, pick his one up!
