Perfect alignment is essential with all of the most recent sophisticated and innovative technology, but it is also essential in the spiritual realm according to Asher Intrater. “Global Alignment has to do with right relationships for true Christians around the world and for the Messianic remnant of Israel in order to be ready for the Second Coming of Yeshua (Jesus). Alignment is submitting to God’s order and prepares us for establishing His kingdom on earth.” Asher’s aim in writing this book “is to mobilize us into that right alignment, to bring us together as a family, and to prepare us for revival in the end times.”
Section One on Alignment is the largest part of the book where Asher explains why we need to have co-operative hearts to achieve perfect alignment and he begins with Jesus’s submission “to His heavenly Father, then to His earthly parents, and then to John the Baptist as a prophet.” Alignment is defined as “an order that allows for everyone to have his or her own place – for everyone to function, for everyone to bear fruit… based on intimacy and submission.” To come into alignment with God’s purposes “we have to learn to respect other people, their gifts, their purposes and their history…We respect history and honour people.” This takes spiritual strength and self-discipline to rise above one’s own instincts to see other perspectives.
Chapter Two discusses Moral Alignment means daily repentance, as in the Lord’s Prayer – it is much more important that we be conformed to the image of Christ than that we be comfortable – our Comforter is the Holy Spirit that makes us strong in the midst of trials and persecutions. “Holiness not Spiritism…How can we be aligned if we cannot receive correction? Self-examination…is part of alignment.” The historical survey in the third chapter introduces the chain of command that underpins all Alignment that “all believers in Yeshua (Jesus) receive the authority that was delegated to the original apostles…the continuation of the covenant family of Abraham, the priestly people of Moses, the kingdom nation of David and the Messianic expectations of the Israelite Prophets… Yeshua… invested His kingdom values and authority in those who followed after Him…the true Messianic community…We identify with them. We agree with their faith. We follow in their footsteps. We receive their authority. We model ourselves after their pattern. We align ourselves with their community. We aspire to complete what they started.”
Chapter Four explains how the Revive Israel team adopted the Acts 1:8 commission “to send out teachings to the whole world on media,” to send out team members on short-term ministry trips around the world and to “receive guests as visitors; pray for them; teach them; build relationships; send them back home with blessing.” Furthermore “We had to enlarge our hearts to see the Gentile nations as part of our calling… We had to adjust our direction to see the nations coming up to us. This was a huge realignment in our hearts…we believe that the kingdom returns to Jerusalem at Yeshua’s return…The alignment is coming back to Jerusalem.”
In the subsequent chapters Asher Intrater argues convincingly that the international Church must be aligned with Israel and partner with the Messianic community within Israel in a covenantal relationship. He believes that “Israel cannot be saved without the prayer intercession of the Church…Israel is dependent on the Church for salvation; the Church is dependent on Israel to bring Yeshua’s kingdom.”
I highly recommend this book.
