I thought all I wanted in my life was to succeed at football and one day take over my grandfather’s ranch. Nothing else mattered but those two things.

Why suddenly did she appear every single night in my dreams? The faceless woman who had me waking up each morning soaked in sweat with my heart nearly pounding right out of my chest.

Who was she?

Where was she?

And why was she the one thing I desired more than anything?

Fans of the Wanted Series, this book is for you. Now, I don’t know about you guys, but when I fall in love with a character or a series, I will never say no to more. And one of the things that I loved about Desired was that it took us all back to the beginning. Desired is kinda like a prequel or lets say a companion novella to Wanted. We get to see those amazing men before they met the women that would forever knock their worlds off their axis. Not only do we get to see inside these guys head and see all the antics that follow, but you get to see the moments where the attraction and fall begins to happen. It gives you a little taste of what’s to come and reminds you of just what a fun ride readers will be in-store for.

Desired is a quick and easy read that will leave you with a smile on your face. This story is well-written and is just what fans have been begging for. Author Kelly Elliott has done amazing job taking us back to where it all began and I don’t know about you guys, but after finishing this, I want to read Wanted all over again!

I did not finish the book. I don't want to. Why? Because I was expecting to read the sixth book in a series and not a prequel. Before the story begins the author warns that you should read Wanted in order for the ending to make sense. As a reader and someone who could have given money for the book, I want to have a warning in the blurb. The blurb made me want to read this book and I was very disappointed to find out that half of the stories won't have an ending by the time I turn the last page of this book. This book should have been listed as 0.5 not 6. This sucked.

Looking at the blurbs in the rest of the series, this book seems to be a precursor to books 1-3. I ADORE this author, so it is tearing me up to write this review. Maybe if it was labeled another way, like a prequel or something that might help? Give a reader some warning.

This author has quite a few titles on my favorites list here on GR, so I am definitely not slamming her talent. But honestly I couldn't get into the book and couldn't finish, because there were too many plots juggling for one book. That's why I left the critique I did on NetGalley.

AGAIN!!!! Kelly Elliott has proven why she is an amazing Author!!!
To me this was a great gift to those of us that have been following her since The Wanted series came out. We get to see the side of Gunner and Josh before they met the love's of their lives. Jeff always had a huge crush on Ari, he just fought his feelings.
Gunner always the romantic and the true southern gentleman. Woman would throw them seleves at him. And Gunner would just smile and gently turn them down
Josh, always the player had a revolving door of women. That is until HE WAS SLAMMED when he realized this isn't how he wants to be
And then there's my favorite cowboy Jeff, Poor guy confused about his feeling for his siter's best friend. This was fun book to read.

Kelly Elliott makes her mark. She seduces with subtle sweetness. She speaks to the heart in a profound way. Desired is an introduction and a reunion of sorts. A chance to test the waters while reacquainting yourself with old friends. These characters are meant to be adored and unable to forget.

OH MY GOD!
I didn’t know how much I’ve missed this guys until I started reading this book, now I think I need to re read the whole wanted series (which would destroy my review schedule--- worth it!).

I have kept Gunner and Ellie’s story in my heart and memory since I first read about them. There was just something so special and captivating about them, that it became one of those books you can never let go.

The same goes for the rest of the gang, re-living how they met and fell for each other was such a pleasurable experience, it’s not every day that you get to fall in love with perfect love stories all over again.

How do I start talking about these characters I know so much?

Since this book is supposedly intented for readers who have already read most or the complete series, lets start with the fact that we know they are all perfect for each other. Life might put some obstacles in their way, but all of them are strong enough to beat the hell out of them, and so is their love.

For people who are just starting the series, well… I’m guessing you can’t wait to get started with the first book and find out what happens to Ellie and Gunner or Arie and Jeff. Just seat tight and enjoy, you have seen nothing yet!

Getting a glimpse of this pre-love boys we all loved was priceless. We met them when they were already behaving like men, but in this book, we get some hilarious sexcapades and some really bad decision making moments that I couldn’t get enough of.

Watching them fall hard for this group of innocent young girls was more than satisfying, I totally recommend this book! You won’t be able to stop.

4.5 Star Review Desired (Wanted #6) by Kelly Elliott

This book is in my opinion a prequel to her Wanted series and I would suggest that you would be better served if you had read the books in the series before reading this one. At the very least you need to have read book one, Wanted.

I fell in love with the characters from her Wanted series when I read the first book, so this book was a little like coming home to me. We see another side to Jeff and Gunner before their relationships with their soul mates and I fell more and more for these two men in particular.

Desired is told from the men’s point of view and they really are swoon worthy. I am so in love with Gunner that it is not funny. For those of you who love her Wanted series, then this will be a one click must.

This was a well written book which is what I have come to expect from Kelly Elliott. She has a way of telling a story that captures your interest and keeps you invested.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

An absolute must read for anyone who loves the Wanted series! I went into this already loving these guys. I finished this loving Gunner, Jeff, and Josh even more. Something I didn’t think was even possible. Kelly Elliott is a magician with words, creating an even deeper connection to characters we already adored. Reading Desired was like going back in time and falling in love with these guys all over again for the very first time.

Gunner has been one of my go to favorite book boyfriends for years now. Every time I had a bad day or was feeling sad I’d go pick up Wanted and get swept away. I truly didn’t think I could love him more than I already did, but then came Desired. Getting to see the guys before they met their perfect matches and what led up to the start of Wanted was like finding hidden treasure.

I loved being able to see what was going on in all their heads leading up to when they lost their hearts! I want to go back and read the entire series now.

I just love these boys!! It was a breath of fresh air reading how they were before they fell head over heels in love with their “one”. Gunner was the one with his head on his shoulders and Josh and Jeff were a handful. But it was lots of fun. Jeff was ridiculously protective of Ellie and it was nice to read his POV when Gunner and Ellie laid eyes on each other. Jeff was Team Gunner from the beginning; lol who would’ve thought.

Jeff I wanted to strangle half the time, Josh will make your stomach hurt with laughter because the things that boy gets into is unreal and Gunner will just have your heart swooning. We get to see very little of Brad but it was good to see all boys in this book and get a feel for them before they were tied down.

5 Stars!

I'm not sure how she does it every single time but wow I'm absolutely speechless after reading this book. An extension...a prequel to the Wanted series that is going to steal your heart and completely blow your mind.

Desired is a complimentary book to this epic series and delivered quite the story from the three guys who already stole my heart. Gunner, Josh and Jeff exploded onto my kindle from the very first page and I just couldn't get enough. Getting into their minds and seeing it play out...swoon!

You think you know them. You've seen them fall in love and find their forever. Now take a step back in time before it all happened and meet the guys and be prepared fall in love... all over again.

highly recommend this book.

If you're a fan of this author's Wanted Series you are going to love this look back at your favorite characters. If your planning on reading the series this is a great place to start. If you don't fall into either group you may want to pass since this isn't really a complete story. It's more of a prelude to the stories to come. It reads a bit young with many of the characters in high school but that's understandable considering what it is. I'm a fan of the series and really enjoyed this one. I highly recommend it.

Loved this book!!! But first, for those who haven't read the first book of the series (Wanted), I suggest you guys read that book first before reading Desired so you can follow through the characters. Anyway, the story and the characters of this book are good! Loved it! I was hooked (yet again) from the start up to the last! I fell in love to the characters again in the series!

**This book is the 'prequel' of the series.**

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Desired is listed as book 6 in the Wanted series. Desired is a prequel to book one in the series. It cannot be read as a standalone. It will seem like an unfinished book if you try to read as a standalone.

Wanted holds a special place in my heart. It was one of those books that sticks with you. You remember how you felt has you read it, you recall every detail of the characters. It was just that special. Desired was a no brainer for me to read. I loved getting to see what happened before the guys met their girls was a fun little bonus for me.

We get POV from Gunner, Jeff, and Josh before and when they met Ellie, Ari and Heather. After reading Desired and bringing up all of those old feelings for these characters, it makes me want to go back andc start the series all over again!

Ahh, how I've missed the 'Wanted Gang.' I really enjoyed getting to know the boys, as young men, and even then they all appeared older than their years.

This is a great story, a prequel to The Wanted series, any new to Kelly Elliott reader will fall in love with all the boys even earlier.

I forgot how much of a fire cracker Ari was, she seemed even more sassy as a High School Student.

It was refreshing getting the boys points of views, but newcomers will seamlessly follow through with this amazing series.

To those of us who is reading this after devouring The Wanted Series, its been a great insight to the boys thoughts.

To the newcomers, hold on tight and enjoy the ride! of the phenomenon that is The Wanted Series.

Getting to read from the beginning for the first time, you lucky lucky people.

I have always adored these couples from the Wanted series. Now we get to see Gunner, Jeff,Josh, and Brad, before they really meet the love of their lives. What they were like before they fell in love. Told in all the guys POV. If you haven’t read Wanted yet, you’re going to want to after this! But I hope you’ve read at least Wanted before.

For the guys I already knew they were gentlemen with hearts of gold. Good ole country boys. Even though some fought their feeling for their one and only’s. It was interesting to say the least. Mrs. Elliott has always pulled at my heart strings. And Gunner is still my favorite!

I absolutely loved the Wanted Series and this book is a fabulous way to get to know the boys before they found the women they want to spend the rest of their lives with. Jeff has had a crush on Ari forever, but is not willing to lose her friendship by taking it to the nest level. Gunner has been dreaming of a woman who needs his help and the moment he meets Ellie his dreams have come alive. Josh is getting tired of his manwhore ways and finds the woman he is willing to change for on the side of the road with a flat tire. With a beautifully written storyline this is a must read for anyone who has loved the characters in the series.

Once again Kelly Elliott proves why she is one of my all time favorite authors! She truly amazes me with the immense feeling she incites in readers with each and every book. The Wanted series was my introduction to her writing and with each book....each series since she never fails to give her fans a story and characters that are new and refreshing. NO cookie cutter books!!!

Desired is book 6 in the Wanted Series and should not be read as a stand-alone book. For your reading pleasure and to truly understand each character and their story, I would suggest reading this series in order. Yes, this book does give us a timeline prior to some events in the first book of the series....however, I think it would be safe to say you could read Desired AFTER reading Wanted (the 1st book in the series).

This may be a bit 'spoilerish' so if you haven't read book one of the Wanted Series, please stop reading!!!!!

We have the pleasure of 'revisiting' the guys of the Wanted Series. Each and everyone of them captured out hearts. I absolutely loved getting into the mind of Gunner. We were able to read firsthand.....witness the true heart of his character. He didn't want to be the guy to just have sex for the sake of sex, he wanted more. I adored his character for that. How at the moment when he finally met Ellie, she took his breath away. He then knew.....he knew what his heart had been seeking. Lord have mercy that man!!!!!

We saw how Jeff fought so long and hard the ever growing feelings he felt for Ari. We were allowed to see more.....how he really thought he was doing the right thing. Not allowing those true emotions to the forefront. That keeping them hidden was best for both he and Ari. I think the one that just had my heart on edge was Josh!! He was fighting something even he couldn't understand. This young man's heart was yearning for someone to take it.....hold and nurture it. So much so he was disgusted in himself for the meaningless hook-ups but in his mind...they were the safe bet. I then knew that Mrs. Elliott had picked the perfect match for our Josh in Heather.

Each story...be it Gunner and Ellie, Jeff and Ari or Josh and Heather, the author takes us on an amazing journey of love, loss, laughter and friendship. That is one thing that just resonated with me was the friendship they all shared. In Desired, we see firsthand the friendship between these guys is more that....it's family. Letting us, the readers into that family. Letting us have a glimpse of the heart of each of these guys, was a true gift for this fan!!!

Seeing each of these guys as they meet that one, realize and or finally recognize that one. The one who would hold their hands through any trial...who would grow old with them.....who would love them unconditionally. We see, yes sometimes it only takes a moment to know. Know without any doubts who your ONE is!!!

Oh how I have wanted to know what our guys in the Wanted Series were thinking prior to and after meeting their one and only loves. Thank you Mrs. Elliott for giving us exactly that.

The author recommends that you read Wanted the first book in the Wanted series before reading this book

Gunner Mathews has had enough of dating random women and now he finds his dreams are filled with a faceless woman who keeps him up all night. Jeff Johnson can’t seem to keep it together around his little sister Ellie’s best friend, Arianna but he can’t let himself give into what he truly wants. Josh Hayes is starting to find one night stands boring but isn’t quite ready to give them up even after he met the one woman who has caught his attention.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Gunner may be a rancher at heart but he has the biggest heart of them all. He is there for his friends when they need him and wouldn’t hurt a fly. Lately he’s been having dreams of this mystery woman who needs his help but he can’t figure out who she is. All he does know is that she is keeping him up all night and he desperately wants to know who she is. Just when he least expects it, she appears to him in real life. But who she is, is not who he expected and she is totally off limits.

From the moment Jeff met Arianna he felt that spark but with being three years older than her and Arianna being his little sister’s best friend, he is holding back. The problem being is that he tries to hold back by pushing Arianna away which usually ends up with fighting. Sometimes it’s done on purpose, other times it just happens. Just when his sister needs him the most, he and Arianna are too busy pushing each other away.

Josh Hayes was starting to find the one night stands boring and not as challenging as they once were. As much as he wants to find the one woman who will stop him for jumping from bed to bed, he isn’t sure he wants to give it up. Being a true gentleman he was raised, one night when he came by a car at the side of the road he stopped to help them out. What he didn’t expect was the woman in the passenger seat. She’s the one woman he can’t stop thinking about but he didn’t get her name and he doesn’t know where to find her. The problem he keeps running into is that she shows up when he least expected.

The great thing about this book is to see what Gunner, Jeff and Josh were like before their books, Wanted, Saved and Faithful. These all-American boys are so much more than what you think. Yes, they are Alpha to the core but there is so much more to them and I found that I just couldn’t get enough of them.

When I first opened this book Kelly recommend to her readers to read the first book in the series, Wanted. Unfortunately I haven’t read the book but it’s didn’t make reading this book any less addictive and now I’m reading Wanted as I wanted more of all three guys. In Kelly’s true fashion, she had me addicted to the books within the first few pages and had me scooping up the eBooks in the series so I can get more of Gunner, Jeff and Josh. The way these guys are as friends and how they are with their friend’s will have you crushing on them and wondering where were guys like this when I was younger? They are loyal and true friends who are always there for the other and have no problem making time for people like Gunner’s Grandparents. If you haven’t has a chance to read any of the Wanted series books than you don’t know what you’re missing.

All Gunner has ever wanted to do is take over his grandfather's ranch once he graduates from college, but it seems something else is becoming more important to him and that is the faceless woman he keeps dreaming about every night. Not knowing who she is has been keeping him up at night, but when he discovers who his mystery woman is, will he fight for his chance with her?

With this book being a prequel for Ms. Elliott's Wanted series, it's a fantastic introduction into some of the incredible characters that are in the series and I've got to say I found the pages really flew by and I was hooked from the very beginning. Since this story is not only told from Gunner's point of view, but also his two friends -- Josh and Jefferson, as each man finds it becoming harder and harder not to want to settle down with one. However, it's not as easy as it seems for Josh who it's palpable has commitment issues or Jefferson who is in love with his sister's best friend but fights his feelings. Will Jefferson ever say the right thing to win the girl? Will Gunner ever meet his Ms. Right, especially when he's been dreaming about her, but doesn't actually know who she is?

As for the dialogue, it was compelling and I loved the friendship between Josh, Jefferson and Gunner, as they aren't afraid to offer each other advice or tell each other when they've messed up. Moreover, it was easy to like each of the men, as Josh is the cocky and confident one that can charm any woman; while Jefferson is the hot-tempered, protective one that loves to rile his sister's best friend; whereas Gunner is the level-headed one that isn't afraid to tell it like it is, especially when something annoys him like say a best friend that continues to do wrong by the girl he likes. Yet, it wasn't just the three men I liked. There was also the women that come into their lives or are already in their lives and make things interesting.

Overall, Ms. Elliott has penned a really good read in this book, which is a good place to start if you haven't read the Wanted series yet, even though it's book six of the series. As for the way this story ended, it will have readers wanting to dive into this author's Wanted series to see if Gunner, Jefferson and Josh do each get their happy ever after. I would recommend Desired by Kelly Elliott, if you enjoy books by authors Sandi Lynn, Kaylee Ryan, Stacy Borel and Katy Evans.

Desired is about the men of the Wanted series…it’s about who they were before they met and fell in love with the women who were meant to be theirs…it’s a look into the type of men they chose to be and then the ones they couldn’t help but be when they met the love of their lives…

It’s a prequel to the Kelly Elliott series that started it all for me, and it’s beyond interesting to see the type of guys Gunner, Josh, and Jeff were before they realized the path they were meant to journey with the one woman who they couldn’t live without regardless of the struggle it took to get there.

It definitely didn’t surprise me that Gunner was always the southern gentleman…there’s just something about the way that Elliott characterizes Gunner that screams swoonworthy charmer, and Josh was the quintessential player until he was knocked on his ass by a certain sassy seductress, and then there’s Jeff – the one who had things a bit more difficult because he didn’t know how to not be in love with his best friend’s sister but he also didn’t know what to do about that fact because there was too much on the line.

Being allowed inside these three complex heroes provides readers with a perspective that we never would have gotten had Desired not been written because to see how far these three men have come based on the pasts that were described in book 6 of the series illustrates their then and now selves and getting their stories from their own point of view doesn’t sugarcoat anything…it’s real…it’s interesting and it’s a part of these three men that clearly guided their way and perhaps even allowed them to truly understand what they wanted/needed after they were done with the kind of lives they were leading and where that ‘more’ they needed would come from if they had anything to say about it.

The younger Gunner, Josh, and Jeff are an interesting bunch, and I loved getting to know these past versions of three alpha cowboys who are beyond sexy and sweet.

One Of The Best Reading Treats Ever

The Wanted Series by Kelly Elliott is without a doubt one of my favorite reads ever. The only problem with it was that it’s felt like forever ago, even though I’ve must’ve reread them at least 4-5 times. When I heard about this book coming out, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I got to be part of “the gang” again and it was fantastic.

This book is definitely a prequel to the series and I will say that you do have to read the series in order to follow this book. Let me just say that reading the series will NOT let you down at all. The most important books to read are: Wanted, Saved, Faithful, and (I recommend) Believe! The BEST, now you have to and can read this!

I adored learning about everyone before the actual series took place and as much as I love My Gunnar, I also adore Jefferson and his secrets! - and of course there’s Josh. Seriously, I need to reread this series over again just because this book brought me back to some of my most “cherished” books I read a while back.

“I had to push down the urge to walk up to her and kiss her. She was so beautiful. So I did what I always did. Called her the nickname she hated more than anything.”

Gunnar, Jefferson, and Josh were definitely how I would’ve thought they would be prior to their future. It was really interesting finding out details into the boys lives as they were younger and haven’t found love yet. I know Kelly Elliott is an amazing writer but a very generous one too. She wrote this book for all her “Wanted Series” fans and if you’re one of them then you’ll, too, also love reading about “The Boys”.

Thank You Miss Kelly for bringing me back to one of my happy places!

Kelly has always been one of my go-to authors and this book is the reason why! She made me fall in love with Gunner and some of Wanted Series guys all over again. This book is about the lives Gunner, Jeff, and Josh had prior to their lives after they each marry. It was absolutely refreshing to read the friendly banter, their immensely strong bond, and the inner turmoil each faces about the “game”.

Gunner, Jeff, and Josh have all been friends for a while. They play football together, go out and party, they behave like typical males all while trying to snag a girl. But throughout the book, each one of them is battling a “desire” to be with the one.

Gunner is an assistant coach for a little league baseball team. The moms of the kids are ruthless and will try anything to get him to notice them. Gunner is devoted to his grandfather's ranch and is trying to learn the ins and outs so that one he can manage it on his own. Gunner made me feel like true love is out there.

Jeff is hopelessly trying to push aside his feelings for his little sisters best friend. But yet he continues to volunteer at the animal shelter that she is at. He tries to “date” other women and isn’t having so much luck pushing away the one he really wants. Jeff had me wanting to smack him and tell him to open his eyes!

Josh is tired of the game and wants to settle down his ways. He is constantly waking up in a different bed, with a different girl. Josh knows there is someone out there for him. He just needs to start looking in the right places. Josh had me on the edge the most because he wanted to stop, but still was looking to score.

This book was a great way to see how the Wanted boys became the men they are today! I loved the entire series! I highly recommend this book and all of the Wanted series. Way to go Kelly!

AHHH!! I love Kelly!!! I'm so happy she wrote this short prequel to Wanted!! It was everything I didn't know I needed! Desired is a Short story (200p) that focuses on the men we love from the Wanted series. I feel like it makes me love these guys even more!! We get Gunner, Jeff, and Josh before they meet the girls and fall in love. It was eye opening, diving into their lives, the partying, meaningless girls and their feelings on wanting more. These three have such a strong bond, I loved seeing how close they were and all the shit these guys get themselves into, hilarious. Damn these women who threw themselves at them their shameless! I laughed a lot, I also swooned because we get to go back to the first encounters where they meet the girls. I also got riled up a few times! Kelly really knows how to keep you interested and your emotions haywire! I loved this easy, short read! It was more like we're in depth with each guy, kinda like an exclusive into their past and their beginning. You definitely need to have at least read Wanted before you read this. I would recommend you read the entire series, it's Great! This is more like a prequel but it's one of those to be read after the other books. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

nothing else to call this other than the cherry on top. If you loved the wanted series you'll love Desired. It is a prequel for the wanted series and had the Point of view I love the most the guys!! I often feel let down when there's not enough male point of view and this was a great addition to the series.

If you ever wondered what happened to the men before they fell hard then Desired is for you! Kelly Elliott never disappoints and this in another winner to add to her book list.

Learning how the men tick and what events helped formed how they are was a real treat. You need to read the wanted series first and then dive in and enjoy. Desired rounds out the series well and I feel I learned a lot about the men's characters with this one.

I don't want to give too much away but I loved how she showed off Gunner's many followers and also a tease behind the most annoying angst as far as Jeff is concerned. His love for Ari was apparent and sometime you want to hit him upside the head he is so stubborn.

Please please one click Desired it is a great bonus for lovers of the Wanted series.

Kelly Elliott has become a one click author for me. I discovered her last year and couldn't get enough. I enjoy her writing style and loved getting to dive into Desired. If you've read her Wanted Series this is a fun way to look back at some characters that you already know and love. If you hadn't read that series, Desired will make you want to.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that we got to see the thoughts of the men we've grown to love as young men. It was fun to see their personalities before they fell in love with their perfect matches. I loved seeing the bond between them.

I devoured this book in one sitting. I've read the other books in this series and I would strongly encourage readers to at least read Wanted before reading this book. In fact, reading this made me itch to go back and reread the entire series just so I could fall in love all over again. Kelly Elliott definitely worked her magic again with this book and left me with a smile on my face. I would recommend this title.

Whether you’ve recently read the Wanted books, or you’ve been a long term fan, like me, that’s really missed those sexy cowboys, then now is the perfect time for you to dive into Desired. Just please don’t read it until you’ve at least read Wanted, I’d hate for you to get spoilers for the series and miss out on getting the first, full experience of falling in love with Gunner. Because you will. Gunner will forever be everyone’s book boyfriend.

This gorgeous little novella takes place the months before Gunner meets Ellie, and those beginning parts during the graduation. You get to experience the banter, support and friendship between Gunner, Jeff, Josh and Brad, some majorly hilarious drunk situations, and the classic Kelly Elliott charm. I’m about to reread the Wanted series because I’m all in love with it all over again and missing their love stories. So later nerds, I have a series to binge read for the millionth time!

I hadn't started at the start of the Wanted series so I think I was a little out of sorts with this book as I didn't know the history of the characters. But it's a Kelly Elliot book and I couldn't say no, although I was not familiar with the characters this did not detract from the actual story at all... I loved this book, in which we get the story from all the boys points of view. Josh, Jeff and Gunner three friends in their final year of College, none of the boys were interested in settling down with one woman, as they slept their way through their fair share of females... but during the book all three seemed to be drawn to their "One" and the way they all fall is different and entertaining making this story a great prelude to a fabulous series I have no doubt. One I cannot wait to start!!
