我很喜欢故事每一章和中药的搭配。那么多种类的中药材，选出了这些较广为人知的穿插在故事里。借着身为中医师的男主，为体质虚弱的女主介绍各种有益的中药材。既不突兀也不奇怪，天衣无缝。
故事的描述很平淡，彷佛我和故事人物一并过着他们的生活，窥探他们的内心想法感受。好几次我心急了想知道后续，要翻到后面来看，但因为知道会后悔 (这种事做了多少次呢)，所以忍住了。因为细细品尝了他们暧昧的阶段，才能了解他们相恋的甜蜜。因为深深感受到面对现实的挣扎与悲哀 (有些事情不管多努力就是无法如愿以偿)，才能体会他们的故事。
刻骨铭心的初恋，剪不断理还乱的心思，都是人最真实的那面。
爱情，不一定能两情相悦。迷惘。
暗恋，不一定能开花结果。苦涩。
除了那份不安的心，也许因为确定了，才能激发自己的勇气吧。
重点刻画不是他们的相恋，而是他们从理清过往的心结后释放自己、接纳彼此的过程。在一起了，反而轻描淡写。因为想记录的，是那段曾经难忘甚至锥心的爱恋，是坦诚面对自己后做的决定，是勇敢正视眼前人的决心。

I expected this book to be cringy and boring, but it turned out to be such a heartwarming and wholesome read🥹💖.
I watched the drama adaptation first, which led me to pick up the book and honestly, it was the best decision ever. I haven’t felt this way about a book in a long time😣💞.
Definitely a 5-star read for me🫶🏻.

This novel follows Shen Xifan, a dedicated workaholic hotel manager struggling with insomnia, and He Suye, a gentle Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor.
The story is refreshingly simple and almost no major conflicts at all. Two people meet by chance, slowly build a friendship, and eventually fall in love. It’s a healing kind of romance that unfolds through small, everyday moments.
I really enjoyed how it weaves in so much about herbs and TCM, explaining the names of different remedies and their functions in detail. It feels educational and authentic. However, sometimes those explanations come across as too textbook-like.The hotel management side also gets decent attention, giving a nice glimpse into that world without feeling forced.

Không biết khi chuyển thể thành phim thì có thêm tình tiết không, chứ chỉ như truyện thì nhạt quá. Hình tượng nam chính kiểu "bạn trai nhà người ta" hoàn hảo quá, không có mấy điểm nhấn. Nữ chính thiết lập khá ok- nỗ lực, EQ cao, dứt khoát. Nhưng tình yêu của 2 người phát triển hơi thiếu cao trào và lãng mạn.
Điều thú vị duy nhất của truyện là mỗi chương tương đương với một tên vị thuốc Đông y và phát triển tình tiết theo đó.

i have to admit i actually forgot i was reading this book HAHAHA i finished 75% before November but forgot i had not finished it.
very cute from start to finish. major green flag for all characters!!! male lead sounds like a dream come true and female lead is a real independent woman
also all the traditional chinese medicine terms got me googling things every sentence....

Even though the novel is slightly different from the drama, the things that remains the same is the warmth of the story.
He Suye and Shen Xifan are really the comfort characters that we long in our real life.

While theres definitely a fair amount of difference between the book and the show, both endlessly serve adorable scenes of He Suye and Shen Xifan. 🥰

April 17, 2026I give it a 4.5 pushing 4.7 I think it was a super sweet cute little novel although for those wanting to read it due to the drama the drama is only a loose adaptation of this book. Honestly I think the only thing that was the same were the names and her insomnia haha. I think my one complaint is they didn’t even get together until like the book was 3/4 over and I wish we got more moments of them being in love. There wasn’t much of a plot but it was very sweet and the book includes little mini herbal recipes after each chapter. So those of you wanting to start it because of the drama just know they’re nothing alike, the names are the same and how they met is still the same but the story is pretty different! With that being said this was a lovely read and perfect for spring season 🪷🪷🎐✨✨✨that’s all from me divas

this book was sweet, i guess, but played too much into the damsel in distress trope. the last third of the book was kind of ???? cos we had a landslide, studying abroad, marriage all happen one after the other n it was???everywhere?
