Rate this book
When Michelle Jackson heads back to her small hometown to check on her mother, she’s forced to relive the heartbreak and humiliation she felt in high school when she wrote a love letter to Rick Green. What had she been thinking? He was the most popular boy in school, and she was just about the only black person in town. Back then, she never wanted to live without Rick by her side. Now, she never wanted to see him again. A big city lawyer about to make partner, Michelle won’t let anyone get in her way and Rick is no exception. But when Rick, now a rich real estate developer, has an idea that involves her mother, Michelle is forced to spend her few days at home visiting local haunts to assess his proposal. When he brings up the silly letter, Michelle has had enough. Vowing to never let him hurt her again, she buries herself in an important case. But Rick — and her mother — aren’t taking no for an answer!

Perfect read for busy people. This book continued to keep within the romance venue, without monotonous tones. Will definitely recommend

Completed.. rollercoaster of a ride

Somewhere along the lines the different short stories blurred the lines. The vampire paranormal theme continued. Then you have sweet vulnerable context. All wrapped in what should have been good but somehow lost it's way for me. It's always good to read the creative storylines and yet with the rush to end the shorts, certain stories lacked the development it needed to truly be plausible even in fiction.

The only thing positive that I can state is that there were attempts to write stories. Short stories with not much to them in terms of plots or character development. In one story, the name of the heroine kept changing.

I loved it

I loved "Without Him" It was however, too short. I liked how the characters professed their love to one another. The mom was very slick about her intentions.
