Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
These 3 books are absolutely the best of all Amy Boyles series. I had to read the final book in a day to know what happened. I was happy for Dex. I understood about Stone. Really great storyline. I love a good vampire story. I hope Amy writes more stories like these.
Entertaining urban fantasy adventure trilogy. A mom and her young daughter just trying to get along in a small normal town in southern United States. She used to be a witch and a vampire Hunter. Then she lost her husband on a job and soon found out she was pregnant and left that world behind her. She lives in a small town called normal. She’s pretty sure it’s all humans living there. Then something happens that brings supernatural to the town and things begin to change. Her daughter Who is only two years old begins to manifest her powers. This is uncommon. Then her great aunt shows up to help babysit her daughter at home while she goes to work. Then things really get going and evil is out to take over the world. Follow long as her and her friends supernaturals many types save their town and the world. Angels werewolves fairies L‘s you name it. A very entertaining trilogy check it out.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
Andie is trying to protect her daughter Gabby when some comes for her who says he's from magical protective services and tries to take her away. She has too many allies though. She then realizes that her child isn't the only one he's threatening to take. She is suspicious and then he is killed while trying to take a baby. It doesn't end with his death. Andie must team with Dex and Stone to protect the supernatural kids. Then she finds that the vampire who turned her husband is involved. Can she protect her family and the town from the newest threat. I love all of Amy Boyles books
Very good book. Lots of action. Nice spin pitting some town humans against the supernaturals. The supernaturals were outed in the previous book. In this one the vampire lord is the big bad evil who wants all of the supernatural children of Normal so he can claim their power. Things are very heated between Stone and Dex as both vie for Andie's heart. And Andie has o make a very tough decision related to her own power when she discovers Dex broke, bleeding and dying as a vampire. It all ends with good triumphing over evil and a HEA for Andie and the guy of her choice. No spoilers.
Terrific. Someone or something wants the children of the supernaturals. Can she find out who and why as her own daughter is on the list? Will she have to make the final sacrifice to save her? Fast paced and enjoyable as ever but sorry to see some of the characters leave at the end. Which man will she choose and will she be strong enough to put an end to this nefarious plot. Some great situations and great to see little Gabby in action.
Only 3 books but they had me captured! Every character was right there with me as I tried to figure out how they would solve the problem. Now? I miss them. Now I need Andie and Dex to go on a new mission that involves Kate and her new man - maybe he's not who we think- and Gabby has grown some and saves the day! I'm really looking forward to seeing what mischief Gabby can get into!! I love these characters!
I love Amy Boyles books. This is about a single mum juggling everything with magic added in for even more mayhem. Her characters are fun and you get invested in them. Please continue this as a series please I want to know how gabby grows up and comes into her magic and how dot and vordred get on. More books please......xox
I'm having mixed feelings about the ending of this series. I wish it were longer and fleshed out a little more. It seemed like a rushed ending...but this is the authors story...and she gets to say when it ends! Overall, I recommend this series, it caught my attention and I kept reading! Now Stone and Kate need full stories!!!
This felt like it completed the 2 previous books , answer questions the 1st book brought up. Fun story set in Normal Alabama that ends up not being do normal new take on vampire hunters w and witches . hope there are more stories as Gabby grows up
I enjoyed reading this series of books. They depicted a strong heroine with loyalty, conviction and a lot of moxie. The story line was fast paced. Humor abounded. I enjoyed the romance element immensely. It was sweet without being graphic and showed the complex issues involved sometimes in coming to terms with what the heart wants.
Book 3 has all the same as the first two plus more. More excitement, more danger, more humor, more supernatural characters, and a happy ending. But its up to you to read who Andie ends up with, if anyone. If you like paranormal mysteries, you'll like this series. Its written well and holds your attention. Highly recommend.
Whew – what an ending to this series. We find out what the big, dangerous mystery is that they are protecting Charlotte from. It is a huge danger – one that has been impacting Andie’s life for years. I have to say that I love Aunt Dot and her potions/spells/ideas that may or may not work! This was quite an action-packed ending! Great series!
I really enjoyed this book along with the whole series. Andie was a great character and she had a wonderful supporting cast of family and friends. The final book was well written and the ending was done right. It wasn’t rushed and it all worked out as it should be.
This series had a lot of twist and turns I cried .. laughed.. Never knew which way the plot was going to work... I'm sad to see this series end ..but even the end was surprisingly good..
Andie definitely has her hands full in this one. There is so much happening with supers and normals, not to mention the angel and the ex. You have to read this to see everything that is going on in Normal Alabama. Just Wow!
This book just gets better and better. So many twist and turns. I’m not sure which guy I keep rooting for to be with Andie...Dex or Stone...even though I’m not happy about the outcome of Stone...but I hope things could change in the coming books. I can’t wait to read more and more of this series!!!
I really enjoy Amy Boyles other series and books. This one does nothing for me. 2nd book was the best. This book made no real sense. Just a bunch of plot lines all piled up. Go read her other series instead.
A demon wants to steal the powers of all the supernatural children. He is commanded by the Lord Vampire. Andie, Dex, Dot, Stone and Vordrid work together to save the kids.
Well worth your money and time. I just wish there could be more books about these great characters. Who knows what else could happen in Normal, Alabama?
I loved this series. I was curious as to how it would end. Not leaving any spoilers but it had the perfect ending. The circle of events closed up nicely.
