Efferus by Kevin Hardman and narrated by Mikael Naramore is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. This series fills the Firefly hole in my heart! It has all the daring and unconventional escapades, the unique but skilled crew, and the great interactions between them. Lots of action, always in trouble somehow, new and exciting adventures, great plot, and it leaves me excited for the next book!
The narrator is spot on with voices, emotions, and makes the book just that much better! Thanks!

I received this book of my own free will for an honest review.
Coming back to this world was amazing, I just have to much fun with this crew.
Browing exceeded my expectations on this one, that was a nice surprise, hope to hear more of him soon actually.
Maker as usual was a pretty entertaining host with this adventure, the way he sometimes get tangled in problems is hilarious.
Adames was a favorite on this trip to he knows a lot of things and it's funny.
Efferus was the cherry on top all of this, an amazing discovery on this book.
Hopefully this is not the last I heard from them.

Wow, I love this series (but then again I have loved every series that Kevin has written about so it's not unexpected.) This book is the second book in the series and there had better be a third because I just can't get enough. It is so unpredictable with plenty of action and set in another world with strange creatures and aliens, so what is there not to enjoy and it is a book you can listen to again and again. With wonderful characters and a great writing style that keeps you listening this is a must have book.
This book sees Maker and his rag tag band of marines and civilians on the hunt for the Vacra, an alien race with a deadly past of killing every thing in it way. It's not long before they are on the hunt or before the Hunter becomes the prey, with grave and deadly consequences.
The narrator is just brilliant and I just love his range of voices for each of the characters, it's like several people reading the story to you so it never gets dull or monotonous.

Efferus: Fringe Worlds #2, my eleventh read/listen from author Kevin Hardman & the second book in a series that looks to be excellent! I don't restrict my reading to any particular genre. Instead, I'm a sucker for anything with memorable characters & a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat until the end. Reminiscent of Michael Anderle & Sarah Noffke’s Ghost Squadron series and Isaac Hooke’s Forever Gate series. Narrator Mikael Naramore’s talented narration added greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I have to admit there were times I sped up the book because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Different than his Kid Sensation series I’ll be reading more from this author & hope the series continues! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Excellent! Worth the Wait!
Round Two (technically, make that round Three) with the Vacra! Maker, Erlen & their crew continue their mission to find the Vacra and, as before, are wildly successful. All our favorite, and least favorite, characters are being themselves and developing. I could say more... but I don’t want to give away anything! An absolutely fabulous continuation of the first book’s story that could be read as a stand-alone. I highly recommend BOTH books! Please don’t make me wait so long for the third one!

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, and found it very entertaining. As usual, Maker's plans just don't seem to work out very well. He has a good lead to the Vacra, but it turns out to be a trap. Not only that he makes more enemies, gets in a bar fight, gets shot at and all before he finds out that the Vacra, really don't want him. But he's smart and get's around that. It's a fun listen with lots of actions, suspense and humour. If you like adventures in alien worlds you'll enjoy this one. Can't wait to see what type of trouble Maker gets in next.

Continuing on from Terminus, Gant Maker is on a new mission with his crew. This time they are not only going to find the Vacra, this time Maker is out for revenge, in particular on Skullcap. Meanwhile, they are still after his alien companion Erlen, who has numerous powers which make him extremely valuable to the Vacra.
Maker's romantic issues are so funny. He acts all tough most of the time and can generally deal with any danger thrown at him, but a little flirting has him dazed and confused! It's a good thing his love interest is more than an match for him.

Efferus is a cool space adventure with lots of action and interesting human and alien characters. This is the second book in the series, but should work fine independently as well.
Recommended for adult and teen readers. Contains violence and mild sexual situations, but nothing worse then what you’d see watching Star Trek.
The narrator does an excellent job bringing the book and characters to life.

We are again chasing the ant like aliens, to prevent them from space supremacy. However, it is always difficult to know who is friend or foe.
Heart wrenching drama, when again Maker and his crew have to put their lives on the line for humanity.
The narrator does a fantastic job, transforming words to experience, giving the full impact possible for the reader's (listener's) benefit.

Another enjoyable episode.
New lifeforms, New action, and good character development! The team is well integrated and united. And, now, they have a huge, antiquated battleship ---- so antiquated that "modern" weapons aren't effective against it! It will be interesting to see what Hardman comes up with next.

OMG! This Second book was so much fun to listen to, and the characters and Story was definitely reviting! To say I like this book would be a understatement. The Narrator did a Excellent job of bringing this story to life and same with the characters. I highly recommend this series and especially this Story.

Efferus was a great addition to the Fringe World series and it makes me excited to read the third volume. If you enjoyed the first book, then there should be no reason not to read this one.
Naramore is a great narrator and Hardman knows how to tell a good story.

Great Sequel
The storyline continues from the first book, suitably providing enough connecting details to help provide a seamless transition. Good Scifi with hard science and fictional science constrained by new rules. Good action, good tension and an upbeat positive ending.

Hardman does it again. This book picks up directly after Terminus and continues the adventure of LT Maker and his rag tag team of cast off space marines. Loved the book. It had the right amount of action and dialogue. Don’t hesitate buy it.

Lieutenant Gant Maker and his team are back and trying to track down the Vacra and recover stolen tech. The Vacra are also hunting and want Erland, which Maker will never allow. Good story, with the team interactions building.

I’m loving this series. I don’t much care for Dr Chan, but otherwise the characters are great, the story is action-packed and a lot of fun.
