Received an ARC at no cost to author on behalf of Enticement Journey Book Promotions. I loved Kat, she was strong take charge, no holds-barred woman. This book has you yelling at it, at some of the other horrible people in it. I used to like Dax and Angel, yeah not so much anymore, Dax for letting his wife Angel be cruel, and not saying anything to her. I totally lost love for Angel. Was happy that Kat was able to get her love again, she deserved it. You will be crying when you find out the reason that Kat had left her home, poor girl. David gets answers as to why he had lost his love, but thankfully things get resolved. Even though he is not as strong as her, they make a cute couple..Can't wait til the next one...

Oh my freaking God this woman will be the death of me. I swear to God that she had cast a spell on me and I can't and I won't, get rid of it.
You know that I'm a sucker for MC books and since this lady is the Queen of that genre I'm on cloud nine.
Like I've already said Jessie Cooke as a writing full of suspense, passion, rawness and so much more. Each chapter is a new adventure to our senses.
Kat is her latest release and it the 6th book from the Southside Skulls Motorcycle Club Series and you can't miss this.
But before I start to yell at you about this new book I need to give you an advise. Despite all books are standalones I totally advise you to read them all in order to understand this series better. You really should.
Kat is a badass. She runs her bar and don't take shi*** from no-one. She left her town after an accident that got someone killed, to persue her dream of becoming a stuntwoman. Now she's back in order to take care of her dad. Just so you have a glimpse of who she really is, her nickname is Hurricane Katrina... So be my guess.
She had a huge crush for Dax since she was 15 years old. That ended the day Dax choosed to marry Angel. But the story isn't over, not only Angel is married to her teen crush but she's also the sister of the only guy she ever truly loved.
And now... I'm not saying another word. Read to find out.
This book was a surprise for sure. It was a Hurricane of emtions. I didn't like her that much because of Angel but now I totally take it back. Kat made into my heart and now I have another opinion.
Let's just say that certain things happened that made me change my mind.
The plot is amazing and the interaction between the characters is intense and raw. It's incredible what our straight is capable of doing.
Forgiveness is only for the strong hearted and not everyone is capable of it.
Oh boy... Jessie you are amazing. Each book just came to reinforce my love for your words. Thank you for another great book.

Kat, book 6 in the Southside Skulls MC series is a little different to the rest of the books in the series in a sense that it focuses on the female lead, Kat who has the connection to the Southside Skulls MC as opposed to the male character being an MC member.

Kat is the rough, tough take no BS woman. She has not had an easy life, and found sanctuary with the Skulls as a teen. That is were she found her love of bikes, got her tattoos, developed her crush on Dax Marshall and grew her exceptionally prickly attitude. She is brutally honest and will not stand down from a fight.

She has loved one man in her life, David was her first chance at love. David couldn't have been more opposite to Kat if he tried, he was shy, silent and smart type of guy, were as Kat was loud, crass and in your face but as they say opposites attract and these two lit up the pages of this book with their chemistry. They were young and carefree, she thought she had it all. Then struck by a deep tragedy, Kat finds herself alone again and does the only thing she can to survive, she runs away from her pain and her past. Now 5 years later she has returned to help run her father's bar. She never expected to run into David again, and when she does it was like the last 5 years never happened.

This story is a second chance romance, it will make you laugh, cry and fall for this pair who cannot seem to ever get it right.

Kat is a tough - no nonsense women who runs her bar with an iron fist and likes her men Hot. She left California after a stunt accident ended with a death, and returned home to take care of her father who is suffering from liver failure. Dax is a crush she has never been able to forget, he is now happily married to a woman she has always hated - Angel, who is the sister of an ex-boyfriend David.
When she meets David again she feels her feelings for him being rekindled, she never got over him and fears he'd never forgive her for her actions that caused their breakup.

This is a tremendous story. Kat has many twists and turns to contend with, firstly Dax, will never be hers, she had no chance, he was Angel's. But that was ok. because her true love David was back, but she had to come clean about their past. And her father's situation is becoming desperate, who can she ask for help?
A story that had me hooked from start to finish. A real page turner, I loved it!

Omg! Another great read in this on going series! This is one of the funniest books I have read to date so far.I loved Hurricane Kat she was hilarious and so much fun to read about.
I enjoyed all the side characters as well as they are funny, loyal, possessive, dangerous and all the them are complicated and that goes for the men as well as the women but all so interesting and fun.I loved seeing so much of Dax & Angel Marshall as well.

As funny as the current story was it was just as emotional. We came to love Kat from the previous books and I found her to be brash have fire and one that was guarded and you sensed she was a little bit lonely so I am so glad that she found a little bit of happiness.

I always pick a favorite character in a story and mine is going to be Kat for sure.I found her to be beautiful ,giving, loving, one who loves with her whole heart, full of fire and passion and she had and amazing personality and was funny as heck.I loved her from the onset of the series.

I loved the plot and the story from beginning to end.The story had me laughing more than once throughout the story but, the story was just as emotional.Kat's life as been paved with pain and sorrow.Up until now she had kept it hidden but, the love of her life has reappeared and now its stirring up the heartbreak she thought she left behind and on top of all that her father is dying. My heart broke for all that she was going through but, Kat was a character full of layers and as the story progressed we saw those layers fade away and she just blossom.

I love when you you can connect with the characters that you read about and I was able to do that with this cast of characters and when that happens I know I am going to love the story and I did just that.

The story was filled with old pain and sorrow, second chances and new beginnings love and laughter and forgiveness as well as many unexpected turns and twists.Kat was a hellcat she was hot as hell in and out of bed.The sex scenes between her and David were hot as hell. The story overall was a page turner and delightful.I loved it from beginning to end.

Favorite scene would have to be what happened roadside with a MC member I never laughed so hard and throughout the day I thought back on that scene and laughed some more.
Grins....

In this story although Kat is not hooking up with and MC member she is connected with Dax from their past and their lives are intertwined and David is Angels brother and Dax's brother in-law. Dax considers her family and part of the MC.That being said there was enough of the club members and their drama going on to keep with the MC theme that we so love to read about. The story really did have so much going on that it kept you engrossed. There was a few unexpected surprises and a few loose ends tied up and I was happy of the outcome of them.I have to say that the author created the perfect ending to this story that had us in awe and we finished it with a smile on our face.

Overall we loved it from beginning to end.I really loved each and every story so far in this series and I have to say I love each and every character. One of the things I love about this series is their women they are strong independent and tough as nails and funny as hell and a delight to read about.

Recommended read to all.

Ok!

I waited a day to write a review about this book and I just didn't like some of the characters and their way of putting down Kat, especially Angel could not stand her and Dax letting her have her way and just laughing at her mean ways when she didn't know the whole truth, didn't like the older brother neither. Kat came home to help her father after being gone for years after getting her heart broken by David the little brother and by far the best in the family but what he done was wrong and not finding out what was the truth of he loved Kat he should have but he never forgot her, when finds the truth he should have been begging her and I think he should have jump on his sister, Even after Angel find out the truth I don't think she is that sorry. I liked Kat but I didnot want to read her having sex with another man that's just me. David was a good man but a little weak and Kat was strong in her love for her father and David but she had a hard time showing her father that, the ending was great!

KAT was a great 5+ star read.

Kat is a bad biatch with the nickname “Hurricane Katrina” who definitely knows how to take care of herself. After leaving town after a heartbreak to be a stuntwoman in Hollywood she has returned to take care of her father and help run the bar.

She “stormed” in everything she did and she left anyone in her path gasping for breath...and sometimes wondering if they would be able to rebuild after the destruction.

Dax is the MC president and has been a great friend and crush of Kat’s since she was 15 years old. He taught her how to ride a Harley. Now he is married to Angel, the sister of the only man she has ever loved. They definitely have some bad blood between them because of what happened.

With an unexpected but hilarious twist Kat comes face-to-face with David. Seeing him again brings everything back full force. When David saw Kat he realized that he never stopped loving her. When these two end up reconnecting it was so hot, the sex is off the charts.

When we find out the truth behind what happened 5 years ago to cause David and Kat’s breakup, my heart broke. I literally was sobbing trying to read the words.

I can’t say enough how much I really enjoyed this book. There is so much going on, not only with KAT and David but with Angel and Dax as well, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. All of the secondary characters were great, loved seeing all of them again. I am loving this MC series, Jessie Cooke pulls you right in and you won’t stop until your done. I hope that we get to see more from Kat and David, feel like I need more from them. I can’t wait to read Hunters story next. If your looking for a great MC series that pulls you right in, 1-click and get started now.

This is book 6 in the Southside Skulls MC series and it can be read as a standalone. If like me you haven't read the others in the series after reading this one you will be completely hooked and want to go back and start the series form the beginning.

I loved Kat from the beginning, she was feisty, takes no BS and she's had it hard. She found sanctuary with the Skulls when she was a teenager and Dax taught her to ride. She's brutally honest and wont' step down from a fight but she will admit when she's wrong.

I loved that this book in the series followed a female lead and even though they were linked to the MC they weren't part of it.

David is her first love, he's the complete opposite of Kat but together they work, he calms her. When Kat is struck with a tragedy she finds herself alone after David and his family turn on her so she leaves town only returning as her father is ill and needs her.

My heart broke for Kat as when you are let into small glimpse of the past and what happened, I knew that there was more to the story then was David and his family thought. I have to admit I wanted to kick Angel's ass on her behalf.

Running back into David and his sister Angel brought all the pain back to the surface for Kat. Her pain was so raw and real. You are honestly routing for her to get her second chance at love and happiness.

This was the first book I have read from this author and it won't be the last. Jessie wrote a book that kept me hooked, it made me laugh, made me cry and kept me gripped and wanting more.

HOLY HELL BATMAN, the Southside Skulls MC Romance series just keeps getting better & better, and Kat has made it to the top of my favorite list, and she's not even a biker, although she rides like a man! Kat has come home after running away 5 years ago because her dad is sick, and while he drives her mad, she still cares about him. Her past isn't one that is filled with flowers and poetry, which makes her Hurricane Kat, especially dealing with all of the demons of her past, as they come out of the woodwork to set her off a lot. Will Kat put her past to rest this time, or will she flee again when things settle down enough? Yeah, I know, that was cryptic, but this was such an exciting story that I didn't want to give any spoiler douchery away. Especially since the talented Jessie Cooke wrote so many twists, that they were around every corner, making sure that I did nothing but drop loud f-bombs while my heart raced like mad. And each time I would get my bearings, BAM! Another sucker punch that I never saw coming. Kat was an angry, independent heroine that I couldn't love more if I tired, so I had her back no matter how obstinate she was being 100%! And the highly entertaining cast of secondaries were off the charts amazing, while providing perfectly placed humor at times. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series so much, and CANNOT WAIT for Hunter's story, but in the meantime, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I personally love this book especially as the female was the lead character and she rode a Harley. Usually with this genre the men are part of the motorcycle club, but Kat is a Southside Skulls by proxy even if she doesn’t know it. Kat has had a hard life growing up with her mother being murdered when she was only seven years old and her father the prime suspect. She’s had to get tough and doesn’t take any BS from anyone. As a teenager she became part of the Skulls when she had Dax teach her how to ride a Harley and her love of all things MC stemmed from there, motorcycles and tattoos.

She fell in love with her total opposite. David couldn’t be more straightlaced if he tried. David is from a Catholic family with two loving parents and three brothers and one sister. Whereas Kat is crass, loud and in-your-face with a bunch of tattoos David has no tattoos, no Harleys and basically kind of geeky. But it just wasn’t meant to be at the time and she flees to California with David and his family hating her all because of a misunderstanding. Years later when she gets the phone call that her dad is dying she returns to the Southside to help run his bar. Will she gets a second chance at love or has too much time passed with too many misunderstandings?

I am so disappointed and disgusted with Angel that I don't even want to read about her anymore.
She is so judgmental. She accused Kat of lying about Buzz attacking her...is that how she treated females that reported that behavior at the police department? Makes you wonder???
Then when the WHOLE story comes out about the "abortion" she looks again like a total bitch.
She physically attacked a teenager, yelled nasty things about her and to her and then arrested her. Talk about an abuse of power....
How quickly she forgets how she met Dax and that she was LYING about everything back then...

It is sad that as welcoming as the Ranch is supposed to be, the members aren't all that welcoming to new people. First there was Cody being rude and hateful to Gunner. Then Tamara attacks Kat first time she meets her and hurls baseless accusations at her...and then to top the shit show sunday off there is Angel in all her glory. Why did Kat have to apologize for the fight at the ranch with Angel? Angel threw the first punch after she accused Kat of lying about being attacked. Dax should be ashamed that he took his wifes side when she was CLEARLY in the wrong, and expected Kat to apologize and act differently. How about corralling your wife? What an example she is going to set for Susie....how to be judgmental and a total bitch to those you think are beneath you.

So after being really impressed by Zach and Levi's books I had high expectations. But also going into it I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book.

I have to say going into this book I was a little unsure about Katrina, aka Kat. I wouldn’t say I had a dislike for her, but I was just unsure about her. I liked getting to know her about her better. I will say this though her bada$$ chick attitude kind of got on my nerves. It also became off putting at times also.

I was a bit surprised with who was Kat's love interest. I was definitely surprised to find out it was David, Angel's brother. David and Kat are no strangers to each other, their getting their second chance. I liked David in this book.

I have to say that this book was enjoyable. I will say that there were definitely a bunch of surprises thrown into this book I wasn't expecting. I have to say that through out this series that I'm really enjoying that all of the characters are not members of the Southside Skulls or are members of different MC's. Or in Kat's and David's situation not members at all, but are still tied in with the club.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for Hunter!!!!!

I simply loved this book and everything that was Kat, well almost everything…eyes off Dax!!!

I love reading about strong females, and in the MC world they have to be strong or they get destroyed. Jessie Cooke’s heroines are all strong willed, fiery, loyal and love hard just like her alpha males, and it makes reading her books oh so much more interesting, these women give as good as they get! When we first meet Kat she has a huge chip on her shoulder and comes across as if the world owes her, but the more you read and understand her the more she grows on you and becomes that kicka@* best friend you’ve always wanted.

This story had me hooked from the start, I couldn’t read the pages quick enough, there was drama, intrigue, angst, love, lust, heartache and so much more. Not only did we get Kat and David’s story but we got more from the ongoing storyline that is the Southside MC.

The author’s writing style is easy to read and very engaging, she draws you in with every word and really brings the story to life, overall another fantastic instalment and I can’t wait for more.

This is the sixth book in this awesome series, and each story just keeps getting better and better. Kat has always had been friends and had a crush on Dax, but now he is married to Angel. After leaving town with a broken heart to be a stuntwoman, Kat has now returned to town in order to help her Dad run his bar. When she meets David again, who is Angel’s brother, they both realise that they still have feelings for each other. But is it too late for them? No spoilers; this is a must read for all MC lovers, you will not be disappointed!
This is a well written and enthralling storyline from this talented author, and this story is humorous, hot, and with twists and secrets that I did not see was coming. I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Kat by Jessie Cooke

Kat, Kat, Kat, Kat, what can you say about Kat? She’s hell on wheels, she’s got a secret, she has had a rough life and she’s not so happy to be back in the town she ran from 5 years ago.

The story has some holes that kept me from liking it. 1) Neither main character is actually in the MC, so why is this an MC book? 2) She needs to get her drunk, passed out father and she takes HER MOTORCYCLE??? 3) Why is a police officer at a meeting the MC is having discussing what they plan to do about a threat? Don’t care he’s related, he wouldn’t be allowed to wander the property during this type of meeting if he would be allowed on the property at all!!!

Other than that, the story was good. 3 stars.

This is Hurricane Katrina's and David's story. Her name is really Katrina and she mostly goes by Kat but some people call her Hurricane because of her personality. Neither her nor David are in the MC but are closely affiliated with the club. She grew up as a young teen with Dax as a friend. He even taught her to ride a motorcycle. David is the brother of Dax's old lady Angel. Now Kat and Angel don't get along at all. You'll have to find out why in the book.
Kat and David have a past and that drove her away years ago but she is back now. Her Dad is sick and needs help running the family bar. Her mother was murdered when she was a little girl and they never found the killer.
Go on this wild ride with Hurricane Kat and David... you will take a walk down memory lane.

Righting the past

This story is all about discovering the truth and righting The wrongs of the past. There is a murder mystery that ends up being a serial killer... Then there is a huge misunderstanding that is heartbreakingly sad but totally unrelated to the murder. There is also an act of kindness that is the ultimate love... From the jealousy of two headstrong ladies, to the loneliness of and outcast who really is just misunderstood. Then the ultimate sacrifice of giving a piece of one's self to save another's life. And finally a mystery is solved when a murder is killed attacking a woman who just had the surgery to save another. Its a good story. I think it maybe the best one so far in the series.

Kat comes back home to care for her father who is in liver failure. Dax is a long term crush and he is married to her ex boyfriends sister, Angel. She and Angel can’t stand each other. When she sees David again after so long, the feelings of the past start to surface. She never got over him and she fears he will never forgive her. This book was awesome. With the twist that includes Kat and David plus his family plus the danger that lurks in this book from two directions, you won’t be able to put this read down. Excellent writing 📚📚

But it turns into a shootout so now the skulls need to make her bar to rights. But she wants a little more of a remodel so she can have a catering business. So being that Dax the president of the skulls has know her since they where kids his club is going to be silent parters. It took me a while to get in this book. Only because I didn't really like Kat in the beginning. But I started to get invested in the story.

I loved David, he may not be big and hard. But he has a big heart, and works hard in his job. He loves his family, but he never stopped caring about his first love.

I didn't like Kat at beginning, I thought she was too much of herself. But I then fell in love with her. She is caring, hard working and very much sass. She don't let anyone get away with anything.

I really loved this story in the end. wtmo

Kat left the South side vowing to never look back but 5 years later and her father is dying return to South side isn't something shes wants to do. Kat is a force to be reckon with. Circutimatnve have made her the person she is today.
David pushed Kat away over a horrible misunderstanding now she's back and he wants to figure things out.
This book was an excellent read and grabs your attention from the very beginning. There is never a duall moment I love this story and will be telling all my friends about this book.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. Kat and David. Kat was a bad lady. She didn't take mess, she was a great cook, and she defended herself by any means necessary. Kat and David they had a very unique relationship . There was a five year separation. I'm gonna let you guys read the book to figure out what happened to cause that separation. This was a book of intrigue and forgiveness. This was a really great book. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Another great addition to this series

This series is unlike most of the usual MC series that I have read before. It started out with the actual members of the Southside Skulls MC, but has now taken an unexpected turn to some of the individuals who are associated with the club, like Kat and David. Although not actually members, they're all still a part of Dax's family, and it's certainly been interesting learning more about all of them.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and terrific author.

I did like this story line more than I did some of the others in this series. The thing that makes this series for me so far not getting more stars is the sex scenes. They are too long and repetitive. I find them boring. I try to red through them but I feel like I'm reading the same thing over and over and over again. I just get to the point that when I come to one I just skim past them until they are over. I have never done this with another authors work but they just don't interest me at all. The rest of the book is good but they just get ruined by the sexathon's.

It was just ok. Not as good as the previous ones. Not really feeling this book. I hate the back and forth, past to present. The story is flat and not very interesting in my opinion. It was rushed at the end which I hate. I need more of the story to get in to it. There was too much going on at the same time; Kat loosing a baby when younger, Kats father Dillon and drinking and liver failure, Kats mothers murder when she was seven and Dax and Angel not able to have a baby. Not sure why that was part to this book.
Yes David did solve her mother’s murder but again it was rushed.

Kat and David were in love as teenagers. But it all ended suddenly and David left. Kat moved to Hollywood to be a stuntwoman but is now back to take care of her father and run his bar. She is shocked to run into David, having no idea he's back in town. Dave wants Kat back but first they have to learn to deal with the past. Another amazing Southside Skulls read. I can't wait for Hunter's book next!

Kat and David get their second chance

The 6th Southside Skulls MC Book was Kat & David's story and fitted Jesse Cooke's families so well. Cooke writes about her characters with a deft hand and her love scenes have heat in spades! All the books have been different, certainly not formulaic in any way. I'm so pleased I saw that first book, quite by accident & Dax on the cover stopped me in my tracks, much like Kat in the cover
