I’m Charlie Davies, and this time I’m taking on the devil.
When I discover the body of a priest seemingly sacrificed to Satan, the case seems pretty open and shut. After all, I saw a certain Satan-loving member of my knitting circle in the area around the time of the murder.
But when I begin to delve deeper, it becomes apparent that there could be more to this case – and it might be connected to my friend Tim’s attempted murder.
When things take a turn for the illegal, I can’t really ask my cop boyfriend James for help. Lucky Adam, my boss, is there to step in.

Jammed Packed with Laughter & Suspense!
Fasten your seatbelts you are in for a bumpy ride! Charlie Davies is awesomely quirky, downright hilarious, & the queen of one liners in this immensely fun series! As I read I kept laughing out loud. All her friends, coworkers, & family are eccentrically dysfunctional, but it all works. It’s fast paced with just the right blend of action, emotion, edge, comedy, & a dash of romance. Reading this series is an absolute pleasure!

I've laughed out loud during this entire series but the banter between Eli and Charlie in this one had me tearing up laughing! I wasn't so sure as I read the first book but given that I'm on the ninth book in three days I'd say they turned out pretty good! 😀

I like this series, but I was really disappointed with Adam in this book. He is supposed to be a blackbelt and chokes when his and Charlie’s lives are at risk. Charlie ends up having to stab Rikki. That ticked me off.
