Aryn has been raising his daughter alone since his wife passed away tragically. All of his focus has been on being the best father he can be to Kayli and protecting her from anything and everything. In doing so he has lived a very quiet reserved life, he likes to have fun but he is rarely not with Ayli and he prefers it that way. There are not many people he trusts to take care of her and his sister is worried what he will do once Ayli is old enough not to need him.

“God, Aryn… you’re missing it.” “Missing what?” “Your life.”

Bethany meets Aryn for the first time on a blind date, however, they are not each other’s date, they just happen to be in the same place having blind dates. Aryn is incredibly flirtatious and leaves a lasting impression on Bethany. She has no idea that this is the guy who she has secret hate for, okay that is a strong word but he hurt someone close to her so she doesn’t like him, even though she has never met or seen him in person.

Bethany is shocked to see flirtatious blind date guy show up at her workplace, turns out he is Aryn, her best friend’s brother and mate of her boss. Talk about a small world! Aryn is completely taken with Bethany, she is beautiful and whenever they are in the same company he struggles to keep his eyes off her. In fact, she often leaves him feeling flustered like a nervous teenager. Aryn wants to explore the connection he feels with Bethany but she's a hard nut to crack.

‘I don’t know how much clearer I could have been. None of that was subtle. She loves books so much, I’m a pretty fucking open one, but she needs to want to read me.’

Bethany has huge walls up and is very focused on her career, she doesn’t seem to have much of a personal life. She definitely likes him but almost can't believe that he would be interested in her, she is nothing special right? However, she absolutely adores his daughter Ayli, this child is wise beyond her years, which often is the case with children who spend all their time with adults.

Just when things seems to be heading in the right direction for them, the past that Bethany has been running from catches up with her and the truth that has been hidden for years completely blind sides her. Not just her though, it has Aryn questioning if he ever really knew the real Bethany?

This was my first read from this author and even though this is part of a series this can be read as a stand alone.

“If you allow yourself to get hung up on all the what-ifs you will miss out on the chance to witness what will be. Just let it happen, Aryn.” “Let what happen?” “Life.”

Don't be scared to see this is third in a series, this is where I started. Let me premise that you can read this as a standalone; however, there are characters who are from the previous books (which I plan to go back and read).

I started this book on a Saturday afternoon, I finished it at 1:00 am on Sunday morning; that right there means:
1) It was PHENOMENAL
2) I had to know what happens
3) I felt every emotion that Bethany and Aryn felt
4) The story was just beautifully written

I highly recommend this book and this author.

Finished this beauty last night and omg when I first Stacey’s work I was blown away by left behind (if you haven’t read it stop right now and go read!) it was a beautiful story about loss and being able to find yourself after the pain settles. I wasn’t sure I could love a book anymore than that one but Plan B has seriously rocked my world!

Bethany is the light in a dark room! She is genuinely sweet to those around her, she hides a pain so deep not many will ever know because she is so good at masking it with her positivity! Aryn knowing what true pain is can see trough the facade. He knows he wants Bethany in his life but not sure to what extent he can have her so he starts off slow (especially after a crazy first encounter/impression) can these two keep it all at bay and maintain a friendship or is there more in store for these two?

I really loved Bethany! She’s amazing and with quotes like, “If you fail to see the beauty in everyone, the whole world would be ugly. Why would I want to live in a world like that?” You can’t help but fall in love with her!! She’s strong and faithful something you don’t always see now a days! I wish I could pull her out of the book because she’d be my best friend! Aryn is her equal in many ways because he To is strong and faithful to those he loves but more than that he is the ying to her yang because he’s a fighter! He doesn’t let those he loves down and makes sure to let Bethany know that!!

Amazing book and one that should not be skipped so run out and get it!! NOW!!!!

Aryn Andrews lost his wife during childbirth, so he's been a single father since day 1. He's vowed to be the father his daughter could be proud of, but that doesn't leave a whole lot of time to meet anyone. He's casually dated, however, none went far enough to meet his baby. Things take a sudden change when he moves, and comes face to face with a girl name Bethany. Bethany Michaelson believes that she's unlucky in life, and while she does her best to find the silver lining in things, she doesn't let many people close to her, especially men. So when she meets Aryn, she keeps in the friend zone, so that she doesn't lose him, but he's determined to make her his. Will he ever convince her to give them a chance at love? Plan B was a story that took me a bit to get into, and that may be because it was my first foray into C.L. Stacey's world, so all of the characters flying at me, kept me confused for a bit. Once I was past that, I really enjoyed this story. I could see that Ms. Stacey had a talented writing style, as I finally got so immersed, that I couldn't put it down until the last page. Aryn & Bethany were interesting hero/heroines, as they were very realistic, which had me wanting to shake them more than once. And the colorful cast of secondaries kept me laughing, especially the tiny human who stole my heart. With an added in twist or two to have me dropping an f-bomb, it was a good read. I'm anxious to read the previous stories, as I really believe if I had, I wouldn't have been as confused at first, so I'll end with HIGHLY RECOMMENDING!

I don't think I realised before starting this book that this was the third in a series, which is completely my bad. However, I did feel as though as I was on the outskirts of the first part of this as events involving other characters from presumably the other books had an impact on the Aryn and Bethany. I felt that I was missing something significant even though these events only served to bring about further encounters. I don't like feeling I'm missing something so I will probably now go back to read the previous books.

That being said, once I got over this bit I really became hooked by Aryn and Bethany's story. Aryn is vulnerable and fragile despite his efforts to show otherwise after losing his wife in childbirth. He is doing an amazing job of being a dad to this beautiful and sweet little girl. Bethany keeps people at arms length but is incredibly generous, kind and loving to those that she does let in. Her life hasn't been easy and has suffered rejection from too many people. She is determined to keep Aryn and his daughter at arms length but they find a way to wheedle their way into her heart.

Their road is not an easy one, with plenty of mistakes and stubbornness along the way but is a clear demonstration that life causes you to change direction and plans very quickly. I loved C.L. Stacey's writing here and the way that Aryn and Bethany's story unfolded was beautiful. It is just back to the beginning of the series now for me to full understand what on earth happened at the beginning!

Plan B is the third book in a series of standalones. It can be read as a standalone, although I did have a few moments of confusion towards the beginning, as I haven't yet read the prior books. It wasn't very distracting, and was easy to continue the story.

Bethany and Aryn have an interesting relationship. They have plenty of mutual friends, and Bethany is friends with Aryn's sister. The finally meet, and Bethany is forced to give up on some preconceived notions she has. With him being a widowed, single father, there are other factors at play. The two play off each other wonderfully, their banter and wit made reading them so much fun.

The characters are complex. They have histories that affect them still. Bethany has other demons, and I loved watching Aryn help her overcome them. She grew as a person, while Aryn grew as a father.

While the story had some angsty moments, I would classify it more on the light side. There was humor and laughs. It was paced a bit slow, but it held my attention the entire time. I would recommend to the reader looking for a sexy single dad and damaged woman on the mend.

Aryn Andrews is a single dad who knows what loss and rock bottom feels like. He's learned to accept his loss and be the man and father his daughter deserves. Bethany Michaelson has suffered her own loss. She hides behind her pain by being selfless and generous to others. Their feelings for each other quickly grew, but we're met with resistance. Secrets and lies threatened to tear them apart, but one little girl bonded them more than they realized!
Plan B had me hooked from the very first page till the last! I loved the stubbornness, persistence and banter between Aryn and Bethany!! Neither planned for the other, but life brought them together!! Plan B was well written and I felt an instant connection with Aryn and Bethany. I loved the sparks between them and their interaction with characters we met in the first two books in the series. Ayli, Aryn's daughter, also stole my heart!! I loved Aryn's bond with her and how they both opened their hearts to Bethany. If you love a sexy single dad with an adorable little girl and a beautiful, stubborn woman you'll love Plan B!!

C.L. Stacey has done it once again. Each book in the Lost & Found series is simply amazing and a joy to read, and this was does not disappoint. It continues the stories of all the important characters from the previous books such as Caleb, Ari, Jackson, Harper, Bree, and Lexi but focuses mainly on Aryn and Bethany. This story follows the journey and emotional path that Aryn and Bethany take to try and find what they have both been missing in their lives; a person to accept all of them without change, without doubt, and with total acceptance. This is not always roses and butterflies, this story is full of so many emotions that hold tight to the reader and will not let go until they embrace every last page. Through the pages in this book you will learn more of Aryn's story and without a doubt you will fall in love with him and hope for happiness, but not all paths lead to where or who you expect; will he find it or will he lose his way? Thank you for allowing me to read this ARC and write a honest review.

Plan B by CL Stacey is the third book in the Lost & Found Series.
Plan B can be read as a standalone, but for better understanding I recommend to read the books in order. Book one, Left Behind and book two, Say Love.
Plan B is Ayren and Bethany´s book.
Ayren Andrews is a single dad, a widower who lost his wife during childbirth. His nearly 4 year old is a adorable little girl.
Bethany Michaelson is a victim of life, but she´s always positive and wants to change her fate and has to be brave. She´s best friends with Ayren´s sister and employee of his best friend.
Ayren accepted his loss, Bethany mourns hers.
How do you start over with this.
Plan B is a beautiful lovestory with lovable characters and very well written. I love the story, the writing and the words. I was hooked from page one and couldn´t put the book down. So I read it in one sitting. I give 5 stars and say thank you, CL Stacey .

I finished this book just minutes ago, and I must say I am blown away by all the misunderstandings in this book. When you are told one thing and had it all wrong your entire life, that’s a lot to take on. After being in the mind or the characters, I am still in shock. This may take me a moment to gather my thoughts and think past the disbelief …

The prologue of this book automatically had me feeling for Aryn, the male protagonist. Then, to see what a good dad he was, well, that led to insta-love. Though, he was so stubborn and infuriating at times, I always went from irritated at him one minute to laughing the next.

Bethany was an equally stubborn, stubborn woman. I don’t know how else to describe her. She wouldn’t let anything past her defenses. There is an incident in the book where Aryn jumps to conclusions and passes judgement prematurely, and man, was I so proud of Bethany and her stubbornness. However, what she portrayed outwardly was not what was going on inside.

Together, Aryn and Bethany had me laughing out loud many times. I loved the games they played with each other, the banter they had going on back and forth.

I didn’t know going into this book that it was the third in a series. It didn’t totally feel like it. There were a few times where I paused and wondered, which led me to looking it up and discovering it was in a series. Overall, it was more a standalone with a showing and background story of previous couples.

This slow burn friends to lovers romance is simultaneously adorable and hot all at once. I had so much fun reading Bethany and Aryn's story! A widower and single father Aryn has just moved closer to his sister and best friend when he meets his best friend's assistant, Bethany. Right from the start these two start a friendship of hilarious banter that had me giggling nearly every time they had a conversation.

Aryn was such a sweetheart. Funny, smart, sexy, and a doting father he was the perfect package. I fully expected a brooding man when I read the blurb, but was pleasantly surprised by the happy, yet still overprotective, man Aryn was! Bethany was just as wonderful with her huge heart and caring ways. She was absolutely adorable with Aryn's daughter! Plan B is the perfect book to pick up when you need a fun relaxing way to spend the day.

This is the 3rd book in this awesome series, and is Aryn and Bethany’s story. Aryn lost his wife in childbirth, and for the last 4 years he has been a single father to his daughter. Bethany believes that she in unlucky in life, and does not let anybody get close to her. Aryn is determined to get through to Bethany and convince her that they are more to their relationship than the friend zone which she has placed them in. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed!
This talented author has written a great storyline which had me hooked from the very beginning. I recommend this authors’ work for all readers.

Wow what amazing story to the third book in this series. You will want to read the first two book to understand the story, but can be read as a stand-alone book. The amalove in this book is wonderful and very emotional, as you can feel the feelings that the writer has written very well. I was book first the start and the book is more then 5 Stars.

This was the first book that I have read by C.L. Stacey. I absolutely loved this book. It was well written from the beginning to the end. I absolutely loved Aryn Andrews. He is going through a lot in life raising a single daughter on her own. But that does not stop him from wanting to start over with someone who he believes is perfect for him. I absolutely love the relationship between Aryn and Beth. They have amazing character chemistry. This is just a great little love story about moving on after some terrible things have happened in your life. C.L. Stacey has gained a fan with this book. I cant wait to go back and read the first two in this series.

Plan B is a story about two people who’ve been through hell and back. Aryn and Bethany know what loss feels like. Aryn lost his beloved wife while she was giving birth to their baby daughter. Four years later, Aryn has learned to accept it. And even though it still hurts to not have her wife with him anymore, he’s decided to not let it hold him back from living his life to the fullest and finding love again. On the other hand, Bethany hasn’t accepted her loss. If you saw her on the street you would think she’s the happiest woman in the planet, that her life is all hearts and flowers. She’s learned how to hide her aching heart in front of everyone… or so she thought. Aryn is the only one able to see through her façade and maybe he’s the only one who can teach her how to finally accept her loss.

You guys have to believe me when I say this book destroyed me and put me back together at the same time. Every single book in the Lost & Found series has a special place in my heart but this one is my favorite. The slow build up will have you all chewing your nails away and you’ll laugh and swoon with Aryn and Beth’s cute banter. From beginning to end Plan B is full of emotion and realness and I totally didn’t expect to cry at all but I did, goodness, I sobbed. And it was wonderful.
I hope all of you decide to give this book a try and let these wonderful characters into your lives.

Bethany was stubborn, stick up her butt complicated. She was a hard egg to crack. She was rigid. She wanted to do her job and not be bothered with much outside of that. She had a system. I liked watching her transformation and she did slowly. CL took us through a process and I liked watching Bethany grow. She had a few demons that needed to come out and be worked through.

Aryn let a woman get the best of him and will be damned if it happens again. He has his little girl to focus on and life to live. He has a small circle of friends and he realizes includes Bethany. A woman he actually wants to get to know. The first woman since his horrible ex that peaks an interest.

It was a well played out story of hearts growing but still staying safe. The only real issue I had was that Aryn's wonderful little girl is 'going on four' 'almost four' however her speak and thought process is about 8 or more. I have read many books with children and this one just didn't get it for me. There were many scenes she acted and talked like a 'almost four year old' however there were more than not times that she sounded like an adult speaking.

I liked the group of friends and the protectiveness of the group. They really cared and took care of each other. This story held me to the very end and I loved that it all came together.

Oh my God how much did I LOVE this book! It probably seems like I say that alot, but I only leave reviews for books I absolutely love, and this book had everything I look for, I don't think I could have enjoyed it more than I did, just awesome, amazing writing, a couple I ADORED, a sweet kid, great friends, a heroine and hero who had faults but they were believable, real, you could relate to them, I am really sad its over now, I want to go back into their world for a little while, it was nice there, I felt comfortable and at home. I thought the author put alot of truth in their situations also, without giving anything away, some of the life experiences these people went through I've been through myself and their reactions and how they handled everything really (in my mind) validated my own responses that I maybe didn't voice as eloquently at the time. I have a new one click author, if I could give this book more than five stars I would, BUY THIS BOOK YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Plan B was my first book by C.L. Stacey. I was completely DRAWN to the cover and excited it had a single dad as the hero.

I felt like I was my feelings where ALL over the place while reading. I was HOOKED from the prologue to the prologue. Then it took me a few chapters to get into it. I think that wouldn't have been the case if I read the previous books in the series. Then I got into it again, then it lulled for me, and then I got into again before it ended.

I did like MOST of the characters. Meghan drove me CRAZY. I kind of wish she had a moment of clarity and didn't treat her cousin like shit anymore. There were times when Bethany spoke that kind of made me cringe. She always called girls doll and said BTW, toodles, and welc (shortened for welcome). My FAVORITE characters were probably Ayli and Caleb. I wish there was more of Ayli, especially towards the end. Caleb made me want to read his book. He cracked me up!!

I loved getting to know these two in this book. Both Bethany and Aryn’s stories are so endearing and I love how strong and passionate they both are. Their humor and playfulness with each other is so real that you can’t help but fall in love with them. By the end you are screaming and cheering for them. But I would have loved an Epilogue. There were too many questions left unanswered for me...what happened with Meghan? Do they reconcile? How does Bethany’s relationship with her mother evolve? Do they get engaged and how might that affect Bethany’s relationship with Ayli?! I think I need a sequel please.

I enjoyed the book . I didn't connect with Aryn and Bethany as well as i hoped I would. Aryn seem to be trying to get over his deceased wife and Bethany had some big trust issues that she had to overcome . I was happy with how the series ended with all the characters.

I enjoyed this series and liked how it ended. I sort of had a love/hate relationship with this book. I was getting tired of the cat/mouse game with their affections towards one another. The characters would be hot one minute and then cold the next. All in all it was a good story.

Talk about being late to write a review! I am a huge fan of CL Stacey’s work, and this is by far my favorite of the entire series. I would like to say that although I HIGHLY recommend reading the series from start to finish they can all be read individually. I have been nothing but impressed with Stacey since I discovered her work in early 2017, I can honestly say that her writing gets better and better as I read more from here. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us in 2018.

Bethany is nothing short of an amazing character. Although she is filled with pain the runs down to her core, she is able to mask her true feelings with her sunny outlook. Aryn, having raised his daughter alone since the tragic death of his wife, knows pain when he sees it. These two characters are destined to be with each other from their first meeting, although it was very awkward. Although these two try desperately to keep their relationship strictly plutonic or are they destined to have they're happily ever after together. As things start to level out for these two, of course, the pain that Bethany has been running from catches up to her and leaves Aryn questioning if she is even the person he thought she was.

This is an amazing story of redemption and navigating our way through the story that is life. These two learn how to love and be loved in return once again after great pain and heartache. If you have not grabbed this book yet I strongly recommend Plan B and the entire rest of this series to kick off 2018 with.
